After he entered the shadow world he finds himself in a familiar environment, a pitch black sky with a golden sun along with some majestic ancient buildings covered made up of shadows and gold essence.
'Wow…' In the process of admiring the Shadow world he noticed the golden lake, he saw in the during his legacy process and he also saw tens of shadows with gold eyes that were looking at him direction before he saw what was behind them. Behind the shadows the was a massive skeleton his predecessor which still had its majestic horns that were made from pure gold and the scales were all gone from the skeleton nor visible on the ground, he thought of approaching the shadows and the skeleton hoping that he would or might inherit the bone marrow but a voice resounded behind him, "The successor has finally come, my name is… shadow #39 one of the first generation shadow beings. We were instructed to guide you into being stronger before you get to the second legacy."
"So what do you do? Are you gonna train me or i have to deal with something else…"He turned and saw that the person who has been speaking to him was an azure dragon but it looked like an Imoogi instead but of course that did not matter, "Oh wow…are the other shadow beings like you or all of you have different appearances so uhm when do we start" Shadow #39 was an Imoogi with a body covered in onyx scales, black eyes with a round pupil and a mouth filled with sharp fangs, "They are like me so the human shaped ones are the second generation. Please revert to your majestic form…i can not stand the human smell."
Ignas lingered for a moment as he stared at Shadow #39 as he clicked his tongue, shadows covered his body as his human body became formless then formed to a majestic azure form which had four gold horns the rich would greed on, onyx sharp fangs, 1 300 meters in length with a serpentine body that was covered with pristine black scaled and golden fur that stretched from his neck to the tail. "This old shadow pays his respect to young successor!"
"Alright, can we proceed now?"
"Ah yes my apologies…we made an oath to the shadow emperor that we will only train you for two years whereby you will be facing hardships during this time. We were made from the scattered life essence of our emperor…so after training you we will be giving you the life essence in order for you to grow even further in order to find and slaughter the four bastards."
"So…what are you gonna teach me? I already memorize the battle techniques…" Shadow #39 interrupted him just so he could speak,
"You lack experience with fighting highly intelligent beings, you can not compare monsters with those who have a mind full of knowledge and battle tactics young successor. You will have to fight your way to the top before you go out to the world again but do know that as we shadows…the more we evolve there is a must to reach the highest form of our kind, your predecessor was only in peak of true immortal realm when he was betrayed so if you are able to reach Taiyi Golden Immortal you will be able to uncover what we call Origin of Shadows."
"Origin of Shadows? But isn't that like when there is light, the side with out like becomes dark making it a shadow i mean the absence of light itself is enough to understand the concept behind shadow. The is darkness as well which is made from the non existence of light while we shadows need light to be born as darkness does not."
They reached the center of the shadow world and the area was filled with the first generation of shadow beings. Upon seeing him they all bowed to show respect as he passed by them and stood in the center of all the shadow beings. "Let us begin your training."
Ignas looked at this shadow that just spoke and as he did he was attacked by surprise from four shadow beings, unexpected and definitely did not even expect such a thing to happen, but due to his high flexibility he was able to avoid the attacks of the shadow beings but then out of instincts he killed all four of them as he bit off their heads but even after killing the shadows the other shadows did not seem to care as if they knew it will happen they kept attacking without any breaks or wasting any second,
'Damn it are they not gonna give me time to breath…ugh' An unexpected bite landed on his tail as he was busy fighting other shadows so i desperation he tried to use [shadow warp] but it did not work nor did his other attributes and abilities, this battle seemed like it was this whole thing was a setup just so he would be killed by them as they devour his essence to evolve?
"Ugh" as he struggled to defend himself probably he felt as if he became weak again, driven by rage he led out a roar so great that the shadow beings were almost completely frozen in place but quickly broke free and before they knew it most of the shadows dropped dead as Ignas bit off their heads.
'It seems like the successor becomes stronger through experience, it will be better to end things here.' He stood up and walked to the battle zone just to as he watched all the shadows get slaughtered one by one nevertheless this was their fate.
"It seems you are the only one left buddy."
"i did not expect for you to kill of of them in just a year."
'what did he even expect?' He then turned to his human form holding the shadow sword and a bladed round shield,
"You seem ready to fight and thanks to the essence you absorbed of the fallen shadow brings you to full health just for me to make you bleed again."
"I have been wondering about something….what is your name? Is it shadow something wait where is shadow #39?"
"You killed him. My name is shadow #2…you know who the first is, poor #39 he was so obsessed with living not knowing shadows can not live without their masters (sighs in boredom) shall we begin young successor. A fight between the shadow of the shadow emperor and his successor…" He lunged forward at terrifying speed with a vertical slash but Ignas blocked it with out any issue as he followed to counter with a horizontal slash along with a kick, #2 blocked it then countered with tens of strikes trying to overwhelm Ignas but it did not seem to do much.
"SPLENDID" as he laughed like a mad man before he slowly walked to Ignas so he copied his moves too which startled and anger the #2 forcing him to attack, the fight went on as the forgot the flow of time with them covered in wounds and blood. "I must say #1 you are quite strong…how bout we call it a draw?"
"Oh why i was enjoying my time, seems you are running out of time so i will let you go but i will be waiting for you." in relief Ignas sighed and as the portal opened he looked at #2 "I will defeat you when i come back old #2…"
"Do not flatter yourself boy i evolve too so do not worry i will definitely be stronger than i am now."
Ignas waved back and went out the portal as he appeared in the treasurer's office which unfortunately scared those who were in the room, he realized this and gave a short bow before he went out. "Why does the young master keep appearing out of nowhere? It creeps me out."
"Shush he might be listening."
Head treasurer you seem close to him, why not talk to him?"
"Do you want me dead?"
"N-no sir"
"get back to work!!"
It is morning and Ignas decided to go to his mother's office, as he arrived he found her sleeping on the couch due to dealing with the estate's affairs so he decided to put a blanket over her then continued to do her work while she was asleep. He then used his connection with the shadows and searched the area looking for his wives but it seemed they were training themselves so he decided not to disturb them,
