Chapter 35 - Chapter 22: The Stand That Predicts the Future

"Finally arrived in Egypt..."

When the group officially set foot on Egyptian soil, Avdol exclaimed.

After being attacked by the Sun, they hadn't encountered any more enemy attacks. After crossing several countries from Pakistan, they finally arrived in Egypt.

The fact that they hadn't been attacked by Dio's subordinates throughout this journey puzzled everyone.

"Could it be that those so-called Egypt Nine Glory Gods simply won't leave Egypt?"

Although it sounded absurd, there was some truth to it. While the Egypt Nine Glory Gods sounded similar to the Nine Egyptian Gods, they were in fact different entities.

Most of them were different from the Nine Egyptian Gods Takatsuki knew. Takatsuki remembered being laughed at when he thought the Egypt Nine Glory Gods were the Nine Egyptian Gods and discussed it with others. He only learned later, after looking up information, that the Egypt Nine Glory Gods in JoJo were entirely fictional creations of the author.

However, in the JoJo world, it seemed these Egypt Nine Glory Gods were the legitimate ones, and the Nine Egyptian Gods he was familiar with did not exist.

"Isn't it better that no enemies attacked? We arrived in Egypt earlier than expected, bringing us one step closer to Dio."

Kakyoin stepped onto the Egyptian land with the others and looked around: "Is this Egypt? All I see is desert."

He took an off-road vehicle from his backpack and placed it on the ground: "If it were only this simple, it would be troublesome if the opponent decided to hold their ground in Cairo."

Although this possibility was relatively low, as Dio needed to buy time to recover from his injuries, even without Dio, a gathering of other Stand users would be a great nuisance.

"Agh... The journey before was fine, but why is it mostly wilderness or desert now? This young lady wants to take a bath."

Leaning on the off-road vehicle, Kiana said weakly. Although they hadn't encountered any enemies, the subsequent journey was not comfortable. While Takatsuki had prepared ample supplies, taking a bath was still impossible.

"Once we cross this desert, we'll find a town and get some proper rest. This period of travel has indeed been exhausting."

Joseph got into the car and patted the seat, and the others also got into the car one after another.

The group drove all the way to the Nubian region of Egypt, still without encountering any attacks.

Endol, who should have been ambushing them in the desert, did not appear.

For the blind Endol, the empty desert was actually his best battlefield. His water Stand made him immune to physical attacks, allowing him to freely submerge into the sand. The open terrain made it impossible for anyone to discover his tracks, and finally, as a blind man, he could only rely on his hearing to judge enemies. In the desert, everyone except him was an enemy, so there was no need to distinguish whose footsteps they were.

Once they entered the city, all these advantages disappeared.

After a day's journey, the group drove to the Nubian region, which was the nearest town.

"We're entering the city now. Let's hide our weapons first."

Because there were no other people in the wilderness and desert, Raiden Mei and Kiana carried their weapons directly with them, ready to deal with any enemies that might appear. For these "professionals," attacking the main body with weapons was more habitual than using Stands.

However, entering the city was different; these weapons could easily cause unnecessary conflicts.

The two nodded, each putting their weapons into a cloth bag and carrying them on their backs.

"Let's rest here in Nubia tonight and continue tomorrow."

Joseph looked around: "There are surprisingly more shops here than I imagined. Let's find a place for dinner first. We've been camping in the wild for the past few days and are tired of eating emergency rations."

"Okay, then let me choose..."

As Polnareff volunteered to choose a restaurant, the other three were hiding in a corner of Nubia.

"Are you sure that following the book will guarantee success?"

A man with his eyes closed and holding a cane spoke.

"Of course, my brother Boingo's Thoth's prophecy is absolute!"

Oingo, as the older brother, stood in front of his younger brother Boingo. He held a magnificent long saber in his hand. Although he knew the man in front of him was blind, the pressure he exuded was very real.

If Oingo was a small-time thug, then the man in front of him was a truly evil person.

If it weren't for the fact that they both served Dio, and he also had a saber bestowed by Lord Dio, he might have already fled.

"My… my… prophecy… is absolute." Hiding behind his brother, Boingo timidly poked his head out and stammered, "Destiny will absolutely happen."

"Hmm…"

Endol said no more, leaning on his cane and sitting cross-legged in the corner.

After making sure Endol wouldn't suddenly lash out, Oingo looked at Boingo: "Brother, has your Thoth given a prophecy?"

Boingo opened the book he had been clutching in his hand. Inside were childlike scribbled comics, and as he opened it, the originally blank pages of the comic gradually revealed pictures.

We are the Oingo Boingo brothers!

And this terrifying big bad guy next to us is Endol!

Lord Dio sent the three of us with Anubis to intercept Jotaro and his group. When we arrived in Aswan…

Ah! Those eight hateful enemies are all here!

They are discussing where to stay and eat tonight.

But after eating, they didn't notice their weapons had been swapped!

Geb appeared!

Yay! That hateful Takatsuki was pierced through the heart by Anubis! Success!

The abstract art style combined with simple text narration briefly revealed the near future.

"Hmph, do we just need to swap their weapons while they're eating?"

Oingo snorted coldly.

"Boingo, as expected, we brothers are invincible when we're together!"

Endol listened to Boingo's words from the side, but because he couldn't see, he only now spoke up to ask.

"What does the prophecy say?"

Oingo looked at Endol in front of him. He's just a blind man, isn't he? Dealing with the Joestar group still depends on us, the Oingo Boingo brothers!

He didn't hide the content of the prophecy and told it directly to Endol.

"Wait, then… inform me when the time comes."

Endol continued to sit cross-legged. He had ample patience; to fulfill Dio's instructions, waiting a little while was nothing to him, let alone a few days.
