Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Disturbance at Senba Academy

"Quick! That guy ran east!"

"Damn it, he's not here!"

"Check the trees, that guy likes to hide in trees!"

"We must catch him today!"

The originally peaceful and serene Senba Academy was bustling once again, but for many, this was already a common occurrence, as these things happened almost every day.

A group of security guards frantically searched the campus in a fit of impotent rage, but because the students here were not from ordinary families, they dared not search too overtly.

As for the young ladies here, they found this kind of drama quite novel, maintaining an attitude of watching the show.

"Your Majesty, let me throw away these flowers for you."

Near a garden not far away, several girls stood together, with the girl in the middle holding a bouquet of roses.

Don't misunderstand, she didn't want to give them to anyone; they had just been forcefully shoved into her hands.

Looking at the fresh flowers in her hands, Raiden Mei nodded and handed them to the person beside her.

Raiden Mei had unconsciously grown accustomed to this matter; after all, it occurred steadily like clockwork for thirty days a month, even on weekends. What else could she do but get used to it?

Although she was a young lady, Raiden Mei was not arrogant; instead, she maintained kindness towards people.

However, others around her did not think so. Although the other party had never acted out of line, the attempt to confess to the famous Queen Raiden was something others could not tolerate.

Meanwhile, on the other side…

"They want to catch me with just this many people?"

Takatsuki Sen, dressed in casual clothes, strolled leisurely on the platform outside the teaching building's windows, used for external equipment. With a few familiar jumps and climbs, he successfully reached the top of Senba Academy—physically.

Looking at the four tasks completed in one go displayed in the System, Takatsuki opened the System to take a look.

"49 Crystals now, just one more for a ten-pull."

Looking at the simple System before him, Takatsuki was filled with mixed emotions, and he couldn't help but recall events from his previous life.

It was indeed his previous life. Takatsuki was a transmigrator. The catalyst for his transmigration was a power outage at home. He took advantage of the outage to disassemble his computer for repairs without unplugging it.

Unexpectedly, the electricity, which was originally announced to be restored in two hours, suddenly came back in less than half an hour, and he was thus blindsided by an electric shock. It was quite dramatic, one could say.

And when he was electrocuted, he didn't know what it triggered, or if he died from the shock, but in any case, he transmigrated to a new world and gained a System.

After a brief understanding of the current world, his emotions could be described as a roller coaster.

Takatsuki's original family was not well-off. He had no mother since childhood, and his father was a gambling addict. He finally managed to leave that place with no good memories by leveraging his excellent grades and funds from part-time work to attend university.

So, even transmigration didn't result in any loss.

However, his emotional fluctuations after figuring out the world he transmigrated into were:

Good news: He transmigrated.

Bad news: He transmigrated into the Honkai world.

Good news: He has a System.

Bad news: The System is a game program he hadn't finished writing yet.

That's right, Takatsuki's System was a game program he had written on his computer before transmigration. He originally hoped to make some money from a third-rate mobile game to improve his academic life.

And because he was the only one, although this game System had preset mods for plot, quests, main story, gacha, and a backpack for storing drawn items.

But he himself had only perfected the gacha, and there were only a few items in the gacha pool, though they were all top-tier items. After all, no matter who it is, when designing, they would definitely design the strongest ones first, right? They wouldn't design trash to put in the gacha pool and make things difficult for themselves.

Good news: The cards put in are all top-tier items.

Bad news: Cannot top-up to draw cards.

Then, after undergoing a twenty-four-hour scanning period to perfect itself… at least, that's what the System said.

This System, named Dimensional Grimoire, automatically filled various items and endless dimensions.

Because Takatsuki himself had not created a main storyline for this mobile game, it would automatically explore the main storyline and protagonists of the world it was in. As long as Takatsuki participated in the main storyline and established relationships with the protagonists, he would receive Crystal rewards.

And the gacha pool, which originally only contained premium items, was also filled with trash from endless dimensions.

Actually, it wasn't really trash, but compared to the items originally in the gacha pool, they could only be considered trash.

Currently, the Dimensional Grimoire's main functions are two: one is the Quest System. Upon entering the main storyline or coming into contact with a protagonist, quests will be issued. Completing a main quest allows immediate acceptance of the next. Daily main quests are essentially daily quests related to the protagonists, with only five issued per day, and the reward is a basic 1 Crystal.

The Gacha System is divided into a Character Gacha and an Item Gacha.

The Character Gacha, besides some consumables and strange materials, yields Character Cards. Character Cards can be used on the player, and multiple Character Cards can be equipped at once, but only within the player's capacity, which is 'Cost'. A Level 1 player's Cost is only 5, and it increases by one with each level up.

Items are much more lenient; the initial item slots are 3, and one is added every five levels.

Moreover, items can still take effect even if not in the item slots, just not as conveniently as when equipped.

Today was Takatsuki's thirtieth day of drawing cards. Completing today's quests would allow for his third ten-pull.

A ten-pull guarantees an A-rank or higher character or item, and accumulating one hundred pulls guarantees an S-rank or higher.

The two gacha pools are calculated separately.

So, Takatsuki chose to do one ten-pull each from the Character Pool and the Item Pool.

Because an S-rank Character Card requires 7 Cost, and a Level 1 player can only use Character Cards with a cumulative Cost of 5. If he drew an S-rank, he couldn't use it at all.

And the System, after a month, hadn't given any quests that would increase the player's level. He strongly suspected that to level up, he had to delve deeper into the main storyline.

After spending some time confirming that this world was Honkai Impact 3rd, Takatsuki breathed a sigh of relief.

Although Takatsuki skipped the story when playing Honkai Impact 3rd, he knew that the Honkai Eruption would occur in Changkong City.

The three protagonists of Honkai Impact 3rd: Kiana was still wandering and couldn't be found, Bronya was still in Siberia, and the only one whose whereabouts he knew was Raiden Mei, who was still a young lady.

After the Honkai Eruption, the three of them would go to St. Freya Academy. If he didn't make contact now, there would be no opportunity later, and he would simply fade into obscurity.

In Honkai Impact 3rd, ordinary people knew nothing about the Honkai and could be killed by it at any time.

As the saying goes, 'nothing ventured, nothing gained.' Takatsuki chose the dangerous but correct path, which was to find Raiden Mei daily to complete quests and draw cards.

His first A-rank Character Card was from one of the protagonists of a game called Assassin's Creed.
