Chapter 20 - Chapter 7: Stigmata Stand

The first day in the Jojo world was coming to an end.

Although he hadn't really been on the move much, Takatsuki still felt very tired because he needed to come up with a good excuse to explain to the others, and one lie needed more lies to cover it up.

However, fortunately, many of his lies could not be verified at the moment, and there was no one in the Jojo team who could detect lies.

Coupled with Kiana and Mei's cooperation, even though they had many doubts in their hearts, they chose to follow what Takatsuki had said at the beginning, not speaking out, but just silently following behind Takatsuki.

It wasn't until Takatsuki entered the hotel room with the two of them that Kiana finally asked.

She was naturally someone who couldn't keep secrets, and making her hold it in for a day was a bit difficult for her.

"Takatsuki, are you really from the future?"

Obviously, Mei also had this question, but unlike the straightforward Kiana, she chose to keep it in her heart and wait for Takatsuki to explain voluntarily.

However, since Kiana asked, she had no reason not to listen.

"You could say yes, and you could say no."

Takatsuki thought for a moment and didn't tell them that in his previous life, they were all characters from works he had seen. Instead, he said, "I know the future of Jojo and his companions, and I know them well, but they don't know me."

"If I have to explain it, it's that I grew up listening to their stories. From Jonathan Joestar a hundred years ago to the story of Jolyne Cujoh, the last one in this world, I know them all. So, for this era, it's not an exaggeration to say that I am from the future."

The two nodded, half-understanding, but still didn't quite grasp Takatsuki's origins.

But this wasn't important, after all, they had been together for several months. Heroes aren't judged by their origins, so the origin of their friend wasn't that important either.

"Alright, Mei, today's events have allowed me to convert a Stand ability into a Stigma. I'll help you apply it."

"What about mine?" Kiana quickly asked.

"Not now. It should be possible tomorrow after defeating the Dark Blue Moon enemy."

Currently, Takatsuki's crystal reserves are 150: the initial remaining 50, 50 from joining the expeditionary force, and 50 from defeating Polnareff.

This was all thanks to Polnareff's generous contribution; otherwise, he would have had to defeat Strength to gather 200 crystals.

"I'm going to give Crazy Diamond to Mei, because compared to what I'm preparing for you, Crazy Diamond's healing ability is more important. And with a Stand, Mei will also be able to see Stands, so she can respond if attacked."

"Attack? Didn't you say the enemy we'd encounter recently was that fake captain?"

Kiana still remembered the intelligence Takatsuki had released in the afternoon. It should have been safe here.

"That was the original plan, and originally, they should have departed today. But because of our appearance, they stayed for a day, so something might change."

Takatsuki didn't fully trust the plot, after all, enemies are also people and will act differently based on information.

After converting the character card into a Stigma, the original Higashikata Josuke character card became [Stigma: Crazy Diamond].

Stigma: Crazy Diamond (S)

Effect: Grants the Stand: Crazy Diamond upon equipping, possessing the ability to repair.

Description: A Stigma produced through special conversion. It can be directly applied to the back to take effect. Removing it requires a certain amount of crystals. Only after fully mastering it as one's own power can the next Stigma be equipped.

The description and effect were simple and straightforward. The Stand user Higashikata Josuke was gone, leaving only the Stand's name.

"Alright, Mei, take off your jacket. This Stigma needs to be directly applied to the skin on your back to take effect."

Upon hearing Takatsuki's words, Raiden Mei blushed but did not refuse, instead gently unbuttoning the front of her sailor uniform.

But the two of them overlooked Kiana by their side.

"No, no, no! Mei, how can you just take off your clothes in front of a boy like that!"

She quickly pounced and held down Mei's already unbuttoned top. It was late March, and it was already starting to warm up. Senba Academy's uniform was basically a sailor suit, and underneath was just underwear.

After unbuttoning the top, one could already directly see a glimpse of fair skin…

Then Kiana covered it up.

"Turn your back! Don't look!"

Kiana glared at Takatsuki, making Takatsuki regret bringing Kiana along.

If she wasn't here, maybe...

But perhaps this was Takatsuki's own doing? After all, he was initially aiming to complete the mission, and as a result, it became difficult to cross that step.

Ultimately, Takatsuki still turned his back. Only after Kiana told him it was alright did he turn around, seeing Mei sitting on the chair with her back to him, and Kiana Kaslana standing beside her, looking like a fluffy white cat, glaring at him with a feigned fierceness.

Takatsuki walked over and gently placed his palm on Raiden Mei's back, which was as fair as congealed fat. He felt Raiden Mei's body tremble slightly.

So cold… Even though she had been wearing clothes, Raiden Mei's body temperature was much lower than Takatsuki's palm temperature.

Opening the system, he chose to use the Stigma. A white pattern appeared on Raiden Mei's back, centered on Takatsuki's palm. A few simple curved lines outlined a humanoid figure. Upon closer inspection, it looked very similar to Crazy Diamond.

"Alright…"

Reluctantly, he withdrew his hand. Kiana immediately picked up the blanket that had been prepared nearby and wrapped Mei in it, giving Takatsuki no opportunity at all.

"Cough, cough, Mei, try it. You can do it with your mind. Just treat it as an extension of your own limbs."

The feeling of a Stand is very strange; people who haven't experienced it firsthand might not fully understand, but in reality, it's an extension of one's will. Just like when Jotaro first started, he resisted his Stand, causing Star Platinum to supposedly "go berserk." But this so-called berserk state was merely Star Platinum unhesitatingly carrying out what he wanted to do but was restrained by his rationality.

It's like, passing by an armored car and seeing so much money inside, thinking, "If only I had that much money." A normal person would just think about it and wouldn't actually rob it because they still have their rationality. But Star Platinum in its berserk state would act on that thought and would unhesitatingly commit the robbery.

So when Jotaro accepted that Star Platinum was his own power, he completely controlled it.

Of course, part of it was also because Star Platinum was too powerful.

And while Crazy Diamond's strength is also considerable, it doesn't possess the overwhelming power of Star Platinum.

After all, when Star Platinum was turned into a Disc, it was chosen by Pucci to be hidden away because the Stand was too powerful for anyone to use.
