The morning sunlight slipped through the curtains, turning the room into a soft, golden haven. Jay woke up slowly, still half asleep, and immediately realized she was not alone. Keifer was beside her, his arm draped over her waist like he belonged there.
She smiled unconsciously, feeling a warmth in her chest. For the first time in a long time, she felt truly safe.
Keifer stirred, his eyes opening slowly. When he saw her awake, he gave her that calm, gentle look that always made her heart soften.
"Good morning," he said quietly.
Jay yawned and snuggled closer, resting her head on his chest. "Morning, hubby."
Keifer's lips curved into a small smile. "You're getting comfortable with that word."
Jay lifted her head, blinking sleep away. "I like it. It feels… right."
Keifer's hand moved to her hair, fingers brushing her forehead softly. "Good. Then keep saying it."
Jay giggled, her childish side coming out without any hesitation. She felt safe enough to be herself around him—no fear, no doubts, no pretending.
Keifer pulled her closer, and she hugged him tightly. "Don't ever leave me."
Keifer's voice was steady but full of emotion. "I won't. I promise."
The day began slowly. They walked to the balcony together, watching the sea and feeling the breeze. Keifer made her tea and brought it to her, and Jay couldn't stop staring at him like he was the only person in the world.
"You look tired," Jay said, concern evident in her voice.
Keifer shrugged lightly. "Just thinking."
Jay leaned closer. "About what?"
Keifer's eyes softened. "About how lucky I am."
Jay blushed. "You always say that."
Keifer nodded. "Because it's true."
Jay's heart swelled, and she couldn't help herself—she kissed him. It was gentle, tender, and full of everything she had been holding inside. Keifer kissed her back, slowly, like he wanted to savor the moment.
For a while, the world disappeared.
But then a small worry slipped into Jay's mind—one she couldn't ignore.
She pulled back slightly and looked at Keifer. "What if this isn't enough?"
Keifer's brows furrowed. "What do you mean, sir?"
Jay blinked, surprised. He had slipped into his old habit of adding "sir" after his sentences, even here. It made her smile despite the worry.
"I mean… what if I mess up again?" she whispered. "What if I cause trouble? I'm already married… I still feel like I don't deserve you."
Keifer's expression softened. He took her hands in his and held them firmly. "You don't have to deserve me, wife. You already have me."
Jay's eyes filled. She wanted to believe him so badly.
Then Keifer said something that made her heart stop.
"Whatever happens," he whispered, "I'm not leaving you."
Jay nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat. "Okay."
They spent the rest of the morning walking on the beach, holding hands, and talking about the future. Jay felt her worries easing, but the thought of her past still haunted her.
Later that day, a small conflict came unexpectedly.
They were sitting in the resort lounge, enjoying a quiet moment, when a man approached them. He was a representative from another company—someone Keifer had met before.
He smiled and greeted Keifer warmly, then suddenly hugged him without warning.
Jay froze.
Keifer didn't hug him back. Instead, he stepped away immediately and pulled the man back, his expression calm but firm.
Jay felt a strange heat in her chest. She tried to ignore it, but she couldn't.
The man noticed her discomfort and apologized quickly, backing away. Jay watched him leave, but the feeling of insecurity remained.
Keifer noticed her expression and pulled her closer. "Hey," he said softly. "Don't worry. He means nothing."
Jay nodded, but her heart still raced. She looked at Keifer and said, "I know it's not your fault… but I felt it anyway."
Keifer's voice was gentle. "You don't have to explain. I understand."
Jay leaned into him, feeling her breath tremble. "I'm just scared."
Keifer kissed her forehead, calming her. "You have nothing to fear. You're mine."
Jay's eyes closed, and she felt a strange warmth spread through her body. She couldn't explain it, but something inside her felt… different.
That night, when they returned to the room, Jay felt unusually tired.
Keifer noticed and asked, "Are you okay?"
Jay nodded slowly, then suddenly stopped. She looked at him, her eyes wide.
"Keifer," she whispered, "I think… I feel weird."
Keifer immediately became alert. "What do you mean, sir?"
Jay blinked, startled at the habit again. Then she realized he was doing it automatically, even now. She smiled softly. "I mean… I feel like something's changing."
Keifer's expression became serious. "Tell me."
Jay looked down, feeling a strange mix of fear and hope. "I don't know how to explain it… but I feel like I'm… going to be different soon."
Keifer's gaze softened. He pulled her closer and held her hand tightly. "Whatever it is," he whispered, "we will face it together."
Jay's heart raced. She looked at him and felt a sudden certainty.
This wasn't just fear.
It was hope.
And deep inside, she felt like her life was about to change in a way she had never imagined.
She didn't say it out loud yet.
But in her heart, she knew—
something beautiful was coming.
The next morning, Jay woke up feeling strangely calm.
The earlier fear had not disappeared, but it had turned into something else—something like hope.
She lay there for a moment, watching Keifer sleep beside her. He looked so peaceful, so complete. Jay felt a wave of love wash over her.
She reached out and gently touched his cheek. Keifer stirred and opened his eyes.
"Morning," he said softly.
Jay smiled. "Morning, hubby."
Keifer's lips curved into a small smile. "You're getting used to that word."
Jay leaned closer. "I'm not just used to it… I love it."
Keifer's eyes softened. "Good."
Jay sat up and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly. She felt the warmth of his body, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
"You're my safe place," she whispered.
Keifer kissed her forehead. "And you're mine."
Jay smiled, feeling tears in her eyes. She didn't know why she was emotional, but she didn't care. She just wanted to stay in this moment forever.
They got ready and stepped outside, where the resort was already alive with activity. The sea breeze was refreshing, and the sun was shining gently.
Keifer held her hand and led her to the beach again.
"Do you want to try something?" he asked.
Jay looked at him curiously. "What?"
Keifer smiled. "Just trust me."
Jay nodded. "Okay."
Keifer led her to a small boat docked nearby. The boat was simple, but it looked cozy.
They got in, and the boat started moving slowly.
Jay felt a thrill of excitement. "Where are we going?"
Keifer looked at her. "Somewhere quiet."
They sailed a little away from the shore, where the water was calm and the world felt distant. Jay leaned back and breathed in the fresh air.
Keifer sat beside her, his hand resting on hers.
The silence between them was comfortable, filled with unspoken feelings.
After a while, Keifer turned to her. "You look tired."
Jay nodded. "I am."
Keifer's eyes softened. "Then rest."
Jay leaned against him, letting her eyes close. Keifer wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer.
Jay felt safe. She felt loved.
For the first time in her life, she felt like she belonged somewhere.
They stayed on the boat for a while, enjoying the quiet.
Then Keifer spoke softly. "You know… I want to spend every day with you."
Jay opened her eyes, surprised. "Every day?"
Keifer nodded. "Yes."
Jay's heart fluttered. "Even when things get hard?"
Keifer's voice was steady. "Especially then."
Jay felt tears welling up again. She didn't know why she was crying, but she didn't stop them.
Keifer wiped her tears gently. "Hey, don't cry."
Jay looked at him. "I'm not crying because I'm sad."
Keifer's eyes softened. "Then why?"
Jay took a deep breath. "Because I feel like I finally found what I was missing."
Keifer's voice was quiet. "And what is that?"
Jay looked at him, her eyes shining. "You."
Keifer smiled softly. He pulled her closer and kissed her, slow and tender.
Jay melted into the kiss, feeling the world disappear again.
After a while, they returned to the resort.
They spent the rest of the day exploring the place, taking photos, and laughing together.
That night, they sat on the balcony again, watching the stars.
Jay rested her head on Keifer's shoulder.
Keifer looked at her. "Do you want to talk about what you felt yesterday?"
Jay nodded slowly. "I don't know if I'm ready yet."
Keifer's voice was gentle. "You don't have to rush. I'm here."
Jay smiled. "I know."
She closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of his presence.
Then, out of nowhere, she felt a sudden wave of dizziness.
She opened her eyes and looked at Keifer, worried.
"Keifer," she whispered. "I feel weird again."
Keifer immediately became alert. "What happened, sir?"
Jay blinked, surprised at his habit again. She smiled softly. "Not sir. Just… Keifer."
Keifer's expression softened. "Okay. Tell me."
Jay took a deep breath. "I feel like something is changing inside me."
Keifer's eyes softened. "Maybe it's just the honeymoon excitement."
Jay shook her head. "No. It feels different."
Keifer held her hand tightly. "Then we will get it checked."
Jay nodded. "Okay."
Keifer pulled her into his arms again. "No matter what happens, I'm with you."
Jay felt her heart swell.
She didn't know what the future held.
But she knew one thing—
She was not alone.
And with Keifer by her side, she felt like she could face anything.
The moment they returned from their honeymoon, the office felt different.
The atmosphere was lighter, and Jay felt like she belonged there more than ever.
She had become more confident, more open, and more comfortable in her own skin.
But something inside her still felt off.
She had been feeling dizzy for a few days, but she had brushed it off, thinking it was just fatigue.
That day, as she walked through the office corridor, her vision blurred.
Her legs suddenly felt weak.
Jay tried to steady herself, but the world tilted.
Before she could even realize what was happening, she collapsed.
Everyone froze.
A male employee who was nearby immediately rushed forward and caught her before she hit the floor.
"Jay!" he called, his voice full of panic.
He lifted her gently and carried her in his arms, moving quickly toward the reception.
"Somebody call an ambulance!" he shouted.
People were already on their phones, calling for help.
The news spread like wildfire.
Keifer was still in a meeting.
He didn't know what had happened until one of his employees rushed into the meeting room and said, "Sir! Jay collapsed!"
Keifer's face went pale.
He stood up instantly. "What?"
The employee repeated the words, and Keifer didn't waste a second.
He left the meeting room and ran out of the office, his heart pounding.
Everyone watched him leave, shocked and worried.
At the hospital, the atmosphere was tense.
Jay was lying on a bed, eyes closed, with a blanket over her.
Sarina and Keizer were already there, their faces full of worry.
When Keifer arrived, he ran to her side.
His eyes were filled with fear.
"Jay," he whispered, shaking her gently.
Jay's eyes fluttered open.
She saw Keifer's face, and a wave of relief washed over her.
Keifer's voice was shaky. "What happened?"
Sarina stepped forward. "She collapsed at the office. We brought her here immediately."
Keizer looked at Keifer with a worried expression. "We were just informed. We came as soon as we could."
Keifer nodded, still staring at Jay.
His voice was quiet. "Is she okay?"
Sarina smiled softly. "She's fine. The doctor said it's just dizziness, but they want to run some tests."
Keifer breathed out slowly, relief flooding him.
He held Jay's hand tightly.
"Jay," he said softly, "you scared me."
Jay smiled weakly. "I'm sorry."
Keifer leaned closer, his eyes searching her face. "What happened? Did you eat properly? Are you sleeping?"
Jay nodded slowly. "I'm fine."
Sarina looked at Keifer and said, "We have good news."
Keifer blinked. "What?"
Keizer stepped forward and smiled. "Jay is pregnant."
Keifer froze.
His eyes widened, and his mouth opened slightly.
Jay suddenly sat up, and without thinking, she leaned forward and kissed Keifer.
Keifer's eyes widened in shock, but then his whole face lit up.
Jay pulled back and whispered, "I'm pregnant."
Keifer's expression changed completely. His eyes filled with tears of happiness.
He lifted Jay into his arms and spun her around.
"Are you serious?" he asked, laughing through his tears.
Jay nodded, smiling. "Yes."
Keifer set her down gently and held her face in his hands. "My wife… we're going to have a baby."
Jay's eyes filled with tears too.
Sarina smiled warmly, and Keizer looked like he was about to cry.
Keifer hugged Jay tightly, holding her like she was the most precious thing in the world.
"I love you," he whispered.
Jay smiled. "I love you too."
Keifer looked at Sarina and Keizer. "Thank you for being here."
Sarina nodded. "We wouldn't miss this for anything."
Keizer smiled. "You both are our family."
Keifer looked back at Jay. "I promise I will protect you and our baby."
Jay's heart swelled. "I know."
They stayed like that for a while—holding each other, feeling the love and happiness that filled the room.
And in that moment, Jay realized she had finally found her true home.
