Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 Chewing Man

"Charm +10", "Skin Quality +5"...

In the library, Mike finished absorbing the light cluster left by Karen, tidied his clothes, and prepared to leave.

Suddenly, his gaze fell upon Sheldon, who still had a troubled expression.

"Is something bothering you, Sheldon?" Mike walked over and asked.

After this period of interaction, Mike had come to regard the Coopers as family.

In his eyes, Sheldon was not only a prime target for exploitation but also a younger brother who needed looking after.

Sheldon looked up at Mike and asked, "Do you want to eat my lunch?"

"No, I've already eaten." Mike shook his head, declining.

"Then it's fine." Sheldon, like a little adult, carefully packed up his food and also prepared to leave.

Meanwhile, Tam, ever since Mike appeared, had been looking at him with adoration.

"Do I have something on my face?" Mike asked with a smile.

Tam had originally intended to inquire about Mike's private life, but being stared at by him, he felt an inexplicable guilt.

After his eyes darted around a few times, Tam plucked up his courage, pointed to the area behind his ear, and said to Mike, "You… you have a lipstick mark here…"

"Really? Thanks." Mike calmly picked up a napkin from in front of Sheldon and wiped behind his ear.

Then, he left the library with Sheldon, who had also finished packing up.

Tam stirred his curry rice, watching Mike leave with envy.

During the afternoon study hall, Mike acted as if nothing had happened, sitting together with Lina.

During their hour of conversation, Lina would occasionally steal glances at Mike's handsome profile, resolving in her heart: 'I will protect this handsomeness!'

Later, during outdoor exercise time, without Sam's interference, Mike's physical training progressed very smoothly.

After a day of school, Mike took a refreshing shower and walked out of school with Georgie.

Suddenly, Georgie gestured to Mike, "Look over there, it's Cady…"

Mike turned his head and indeed, it was Cady.

She was lagging far behind by herself, and when she saw Mike look over, she turned her face away.

Georgie was a little happy to see her and was about to wave her over.

Just then, a pink convertible sports car stopped precisely in front of Mike.

Three beautiful blonde girls were sitting in the car.

The fancy car and beautiful women captivated all of Georgie's attention, leaving his mind blank for a moment.

Regina held the steering wheel with one hand, leaning over to flirt, "What a coincidence, we meet again. Need a ride?"

Her eyes were fixed on Mike, and she provocatively tossed her hair.

Mike looked past her and saw Karen playfully winking at him.

"Alright." Mike said goodbye to Georgie and confidently got into the convertible.

Accompanied by laughter, the convertible left a trail of exhaust fumes as it sped away.

Only an envious Georgie was left behind.

Realizing that Cady was nearby and must have seen this scene, Georgie became worried again.

In his heart, he still simply believed that Mike and Cady were the most suitable pair.

However, when he wanted to explain a few things for Mike, he found that Cady, who had just been behind him, had also disappeared.

'Forget it, why am I worrying about this?' Georgie shook his head and walked home alone.

He, a person who hadn't even touched a girl's hand, really didn't need to worry about Mike.

Cady, who was hiding behind a telephone pole, only came out a while after the sports car had left.

She didn't know why she was hiding from Mike.

However, seeing Regina's glamorous appearance, Cady's resolve to become the Queen Bee grew even stronger.

And in a corner unnoticed by everyone, there was another girl who also saw Mike get into the sports car.

...

The wind blew Regina's hair, making her blonde hair flutter like ribbons.

Confident, Regina asked, "How does a drive feel?"

Mike caught the mischievous little hand behind him and replied, "Not bad."

"Hehe—" Regina unconsciously chuckled twice, believing she had him under her thumb. So, she pulled at him, "Where do you want to go now? I can drop you off."

"Hmm…" Mike thought for a moment about Sheldon's state at noon and said, "Do you know where there's a comic book store? Just drop me off there."

Mike knew that Sheldon's current "anorexia," if left unchecked, would last for a long time.

And to get him to eat solid food again, some special method would be needed.

Mike happened to know that the stories of superheroes in comic books could give Sheldon courage.

"Are you sure you want to go to a comic book store?" Regina turned and looked at Mike with uncertainty.

There was a hint of disdain in her eyes; in the Queen Bee's opinion, only shut-ins liked those nerdy comics.

"Yes, I'm sure." Mike nodded.

So, with a roar, the pink sports car stopped in front of the comic book store in town.

After dropping off Mike, the sports car once again left like the wind.

Mike fanned away the dust stirred up by the sports car, then curiously walked into the comic book store.

After browsing the comic book store, Mike selected two suitable superhero comic books before leaving.

At dinner time, Mike brought his "little gift" and arrived at the Coopers with Connie.

Sure enough, the Coopers were worried about Sheldon not eating.

Looking at Sheldon's untouched lunch that he had brought back, a anxious Mary considered whether to take Sheldon to a Psychiatrist.

"You're making too much of a fuss. If he's hungry for a few days, he'll know to eat on his own." Georgie looked at Mary's doting manner and felt she was overreacting.

"Sheldon is still so young, how can he not eat? You don't care about your family at all…" Mary felt for her youngest son and began to scold her husband.

Seeing the two adults arguing again because of Sheldon, George and Missy could only watch from the side.

As for Sheldon, standing between his parents, he was also a bit at a loss.

"What's wrong with them?" Connie felt the atmosphere was off as soon as she entered the door.

She walked over to Missy and George and asked quietly.

"It's all because Sheldon won't eat—" Missy was somewhat dissatisfied with her parents' excessive attention to Sheldon.

Because of Sheldon's incredibly high IQ, Mary was very proud of him.

In daily life, she naturally gave this youngest son extra preferential treatment.

In comparison, the other two children of the Coopers would be unconsciously neglected.

Not only Mary, but even Connie sometimes paid more attention to Sheldon.

Looking at the expressions of the two children, Connie smiled and said, "Want ice cream? Grandma will drive you to buy some later. This time, we're not taking Sheldon."

"Really?" Missy became happy.

Only she herself didn't realize that what she probably wanted wasn't ice cream, but adult attention.

Sixteen-year-old Georgie was in the same situation.

After comforting the two little ones, Connie then walked to the dining table.

She didn't try to stop Mary and George's argument but instead took the blender and threw Sheldon's lunch that he had brought back into it.

In a moment, a cup of sandwich hot dog juice was placed in front of Sheldon.

Sheldon was only worried about food getting stuck in his throat again; he wasn't resistant to liquid food.

Watching the little one drink the special food juice, Connie, having handled everything, clapped her hands coolly.

With the problem solved, Mary also stopped scolding her husband.

Taking advantage of this time, Mike placed the comic books he had prepared in front of Sheldon.

Afterward, the family began dinner.

Sheldon, who had just drunk the food juice, had nothing to do for a while. Finally, he noticed the comic books in front of him.

While the others ate, Sheldon was immersed in the hero's story.

In the comic books, every hero had to go through various hardships before success, thereby overcoming their own weaknesses.

This was the hero's shining point.

Sheldon, imagining himself becoming a superhero, began to reflect on himself.

He finally realized that if he wanted to become a hero, he needed to overcome the problem of not daring to eat solid food.

After a struggle of thoughts, the dream of being a hero ultimately triumphed over fear.

So, to everyone's astonished gazes, Sheldon directly picked up a sauce-covered sausage with his hand, then stuffed it into his mouth and chewed vigorously.

"Sheldon, what's wrong with you?" Mary exclaimed.

"From now on, please call me Chewing Man—" Sheldon was still immersed in his heroic epiphany, an involuntary smug smile appearing on his face.

"He must be crazy…" Missy glanced at Sheldon. Then, her attitude changed, and she invited Mike, "Do you want to go get ice cream with me later?"

"Intelligence +1"

Mike obtained the light cluster that burst from Sheldon and responded to Missy, "Of course, I can treat you to strawberry ice cream…"
