Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Fighting Regina

From the corner, a faint, suppressed sound emerged...

Ten minutes later, Karen tidied her messy sideburns and hurried out of the library.

Although Mike wasn't completely hers, it had to be said that this girl was very bold and knew what she was doing.

Karen knew that with Regina suppressing her, she couldn't monopolize Mike, so she chose to have a taste first.

This girl with an angelic face was not as innocent as one might imagine.

And from her, Mike learned some of Regina's plans.

However, Mike wasn't very interested in the scheming between girls.

This disappointed Karen a little.

This girl with wavy hair had originally hoped to kill two birds with one stone: while having a taste, she also wanted to pull Mike to her side.

At this moment, as she left through the side door, she turned her head and saw Gretchen standing by the door, arms crossed.

It seemed Gretchen had been waiting there for some time.

Gretchen's posture remained elegant. She glanced at her slightly guilty best friend and softly said, "Regina sent me to find you."

Karen had left earlier without consulting Regina.

However, she had already tried to minimize her time with Mike, but she didn't expect Regina wouldn't even give her that little bit of private time.

At this moment, Karen's dissatisfaction with Regina's possessiveness resurfaced. She tempted, "Gretchen, are you really content to always be Regina's little follower?"

"There's nothing wrong with that," Gretchen said calmly, her expression revealing nothing of her thoughts.

"Alright!" Karen's attempt to win her over failed, and she felt a bit dejected. Then, she blinked her big eyes pitifully, half-coaxing, half-testing, "You didn't see anything just now, right?"

Knowing Regina's methods, Karen didn't want her to know about her "secret rendezvous" with Mike.

Looking at Karen's cute, pleading expression, Gretchen shook her head slightly: "Don't worry, that's your business, I won't say anything."

After getting Gretchen's assurance, Karen reverted to her carefree, innocent self.

However, her eyes, narrowed into crescent moons, exposed that her inner thoughts were not as calm as they appeared.

The two walked one after another towards twelfth grade.

Suddenly, Gretchen stopped and turned to look at Karen again.

"What's wrong?" Karen thought Gretchen had changed her mind and looked like a startled little rabbit.

Seeing Karen's panicked expression, Gretchen smiled slightly, pointed at her lips, and said, "Your lipstick has faded, you'd better reapply it."

After saying that, Gretchen continued walking as if nothing had happened.

Seeing Gretchen tease her, and the smile on her face, Karen quietly reapplied her makeup, while feeling as if she was seeing her quiet best friend in a new light.

From her behavior just now, her best friend definitely had a dark personality.

Meanwhile, Janis and Damian, the effeminate boy, found Cady, who had left the restaurant in a huff, in the girls' restroom.

"Are you okay?" Damian asked with concern, "Did The Plastics bully you? I'll go get revenge for you—"

Damian had a fiery temper, and as he spoke, he rolled up his sleeves, looking ready to pick a fight.

"I'm fine," Cady said, pulling her friend back and shaking her head.

There was a hint of bitterness on her face.

Truth be told, The Plastics hadn't really bullied Cady.

The great situation had been entirely ruined by her own cleverness.

"That's good," said Damian, the effeminate boy, who felt no shame entering the girls' restroom.

After comforting Cady, he said, "You two talk, I need to use the little girls' room..."

With that, he ignored the disgusted looks from the other girls in the restroom and walked into a cubicle.

Janis gave Damian an internationally recognized gesture behind his back. Then she turned to Cady and continued to ask with concern, "What were you thinking? Why did you approach Regina and them?"

Cady didn't know how to react now. She thought for a while and decided to tell her good friend everything that happened in the restaurant.

Hearing that Regina used tactics to try and break up Cady and Mike, Janis cursed angrily, "Regina, that bitch, her methods are always so annoying!"

After venting, Janis came back to her senses and continued to ask, "What are you going to do next? Are you still planning to stay in The Plastics?"

With someone to share her feelings with, Cady calmed down.

This time, she thought carefully for a while, and her eyes gradually firmed: "I've decided. Since Regina wants to scheme against me, I'll defeat her in the place she's most proud of."

Cady had almost understood the survival rules for girls in school during this time.

She decided to turn the other two members of The Plastics against Regina and take Regina's place as Queen Bee.

Next, Cady revealed all her plans to Janis and asked for her input.

After hearing Cady's plan, Janis seemed very interested.

She said excitedly, "This is truly a genius plan..."

Then, Janis seriously analyzed the weaknesses of the three members of The Plastics for Cady: Karen was brainless...

Gretchen was indecisive...

Regina was a little bitch...

Damian, the effeminate boy, came out after using the little girls' room and just happened to hear the two girls' plan.

He mysteriously pulled Cady aside and advised, "Cady, are you really sure you want to do this? You need to understand your own demands. If it's for Mike, you don't need to get involved with The Plastics."

While Cady was stunned, Damian lowered his voice and continued, "And you shouldn't believe everything Janis says. She was once heartbroken by Regina..."

Cady knew a bit about Janis's sexual preferences.

Suddenly hearing that her good friend had a past with Regina, Cady gossiped, "Can you tell me more specifically?"

Janis, the punk girl, was actually quite normal when she first started high school, just like other high school girls.

She carefully kept her preference for girls hidden in her heart.

Until Regina, acting as a good friend, tricked her into revealing her sexual preference.

Then, rumors spread throughout the school.

Having her private secret known by the entire school was a big blow to Janis during that time.

That's why she became the heavily made-up punk girl she is now.

However, before Damian could even spill the punk girl's gossip...

Janis looked at Damian with a death glare and gritted her teeth, "Are you sure you want to say it?"

Seeing the other person about to explode, Damian, the effeminate boy, shrank his neck and surrendered, "No, I don't know anything... Haha—"

After saying that, he gave two awkward laughs.

Seeing her two friends' reactions, Cady knew that experience was probably not pleasant for Janis. So, she lost interest in prying further.

The restroom meeting concluded, and the three walked out side-by-side.

Suddenly, Cady asked, "Does anyone have pink clothes?"

The punk girl looked at her all-black outfit, pouted, and indicated she couldn't help.

On the other side, Damian, the effeminate boy, smiled smugly: "I have several, do you want them?"

Looking at Damian's flamboyant appearance, Cady got goosebumps and said dismissively, "Forget it, I'll think of something else..."

Tomorrow, Tuesday, members of The Plastics need to wear pink clothes.
