Chapter 11
We sat in the school library.
Right in the middle of the two biggest punks in school.
No one spoke.
Yoongi sat quietly, his expression unreadable.
Jimin wasn't his usual playful self either.
Right now, they were both staring at each other
sharp, intense, like a silent war.
Was it because of me?
The rumors?
That I was dating both of them?
I wanted to ask.
But what if I made a fool of myself?
So I stayed silent, watching two stubborn idiots fight without words.
Ringgggg
My phone alarm rang.
"Oh...breakfast time," I said, standing up.
"I'll be right back."
Neither of them responded.
At the cafeteria, whispers greeted me before food did.
"Oh my gosh… imagine fighting with your enemy while dating the same girl and being partners," Manon laughed.
Wait.
Fighting?
So it wasn't just about me?
"That poor girl will only make it worse," another voice said.
They didn't need to say my name.
I was standing right there.
It didn't matter that two rich boys were near me.
I was still the poor girl.
Still the easy target.
I collected my food and walked back.
Both of them stopped staring at each other.
Now they stared at me.
"Are we going to keep staring," I said calmly,
"or are we actually going to study?"
Yoongi finally opened the textbook.
Then his phone rang.
"I'll be back," he said and walked away.
I turned to Jimin.
"What's wrong between you two?"
He ignored me.
Instead, he said,
"You free tonight? We're going to karaoke."
"Did you forget what Mr. Kim Ku said?" I asked.
"You promised to wait for me earlier," he added quietly.
"I didn't break it," I said.
"I was chased by a teacher."
"It doesn't matter," he replied jokly.
I took a deep breath.
"....."
Chapter 12
We arrived at the karaoke building.
It was crowded students everywhere, laughter filling the air.
The three of us walked in quietly.
The silence felt awkward... so I broke it.
"Which song can you sing best?" I asked as soon as we entered the room.
"All of them," Jimin replied confidently.
"Soon, I'll be on TV as the nation's cutest K-pop musician Jiminshiii."
He grinned, his cross bag hanging loosely on his shoulder.
I laughed.
Only me.
Yoongi just walked in silently, one hand holding his bag like always.
We sat down.
The music started.
Jimin grabbed the mic first.
He sang beautifully.
"Ohhh~~~" I gasped without realizing it.
When it was my turn, I froze.
"I'm actually a bad singer," I warned quickly.
"And no laughing," I added, pointing at them.
I dropped my bag and walked up to the stage, choosing a song.
The moment I held the mic
"Hehe."
Jimin laughed.
"Yah!" I snapped.
He quickly covered his mouth, still smiling.Yoongi didn't laugh.
But his eyes did.
They softened.
Like he was amused... quietly.
After singing and after Yoongi refused to sing we left the room and walked into the game store next door.
Colorful lights. Toys behind glass.
"That one's so cute," I said, pointing at a small cat plushie.
"It looks just like my cat, Tang."
.
"Watch me get it for you," Jimin said confidently.
He tried the claw machine.
Failed.
"I'm not used to this," he muttered.
I almost laughed.
Probably used to buying the entire claw machine including the seller
Then Yoongi stepped forward.
Without a word.
He studied the machine carefully... then adjusted the position slowly.
I stared at him.
Focused.
Calm.
Different.
The machine moved.
And I held my breath.
Don't forget to react 😽
