The claw machine beeped.
He picked the cat.
I smiled, expecting him to hand it to me.
"Thank you, Jimin. You still need to learn," I joked, my eyes sparkling with excitement.
Yoongi said nothing.
He simply turned and walked away with the toy, ignoring both of us.
I blinked.
Then I suggested another ice cream shop after spotting the signboard nearby.
The seller frowned the moment we entered.
"The ice cream here is for couples only."
My heart dropped.
So… does that mean everyone here is in a relationship?
"She's my gir"
"They're my junior brothers," I cut in quickly, placing my hands on both their shoulders.
"Why would you refuse them? Or do you want them dating at such a young age?"
The lady sighed, shook her head, and seated us outside.
A few minutes later, she brought the ice cream.
"Ahh…" I muttered as the cold burned my throat.
Yoongi only stirred his ice cream, silent.
Jimin, on the other hand, kept licking his and even ordered more.
"There's something on your lip," he said.
I wiped it off quickly, embarrassed.
Later, we went home
separate ways.
Night
I scrolled through Facebook when a post appeared.
Love triangle.
When the rich meet the poor.
Another photo.
Someone is stalking us.
I went to the kitchen and sat alone with a cup of ramyeon.
Short of love.
Short of money.
Only 5000 won left
for the tire, for food, for Tang,
even for the sweater I planned to wear.
Life was unfair.
And painfully heavy.
