The two Alphas took the baskets containing the rabbits and headed quite a distance downstream to begin the dressing process. While they were busy with their task, Ewan turned to pat Simon's shoulder: "Let's go, we need to find some seasoning. If we roast meat without herbs to neutralize the scent, wild rabbit can be quite gamey and won't taste good at all."
Simon's eyes lit up at the mention of delicious food, and he hurriedly grabbed a compact basket to follow Ewan along the riverbank. In truth, Simon wasn't sure what "herbs" were, but Ewan knew quite a few varieties. The simplest option was to find some wild ginger, its warmth and pungent aroma could eliminate the rabbit's gaminess. However, it wasn't easy to find, and the two Omegas had to forage for a while before discovering a small patch.
"It's so small, will this be enough?" Simon asked.
"We'll crush it for the juice later, if we use it sparingly, it should suffice." Ewan replied.
