Mona Nathan crossed her arms, her expression clearly saying, 'If you don't do what I want, I'm telling on you.'
At the sight, Sharon Quincy nearly gritted her teeth to dust.
"Fine, I promise... When I get back to Aethelgard, I'll help you take care of it." Sharon Quincy could only bite the bullet and agree.
Her words put Mona Nathan's mind at ease. "You don't have to wait until you're back in Aethelgard. Do it in the next day or two. I want Miles Sinclair to see the consequences of crossing me."
"Cousin, it'll only take a word from you. Uncle has always doted on you; he'll agree to anything you say."
Every word from Mona was a jab, a reminder and a warning, though she never once mentioned Linden Nathan by name.
Sharon Quincy had intended to just give a vague promise, but seeing how insistent Mona was, she knew it would be difficult to fob her off this time.
