Koa's pov
"Koa" Lucien called.
And I turned pretending like I didn't notice when he knocked or had opened the door, like I was just noticing his presence.
"Oh, Lucien you're finally here,"
He held a confused expression for a split second at my joviality but replaced it with his normal expression. "What are you doing here?"
A smile curved my lips. Beneath his calm demeanor, I could see through him. The fury burning in his eyes, his restrained anger, and his attempt to control it made him even more pathetic.
Can't wait to see his reaction to what we did, Rex purred.
Me too Rex. I replied inwardly as I fought the urge to smile evilly.
"Don't be silly Lucien. Have you forgotten so soon father sent for us when Uncle told us a while back." I asked him, giving him my best cheesy smile.
You're killing it. Rex teased.
At this point, I was doing all I could not to laugh.
"Yes, but you're early.. That's unusual—" Lucien was saying when father interrupted him curtly.
