The transition was violent and exhilarating. As the lone, massive vessel of the Marine Academy hit the base of the Red Line, the hull displaced millions of gallons of water, creating a localized tidal wave that sent spray flying over the highest masts.
On the deck, Shirahoshi—staggered slightly as the ship leveled out. She gripped the railing with her long, elegant fingers, her pink hair dampened by the sea spray. Though she was tall and imposing compared to most of the other girls, her expression remained one of gentle wonder as she looked at the vast blue horizon of the New World.
"We... we made it," she whispered, her voice steadying as she looked at Vivi and Hiyori. "The air here... it feels so different."
Nami wiped the saltwater from her eyes, already barking orders to the crew. "Don't get comfortable! This is the New World! The currents here don't follow the laws of physics, and we're all alone on this one ship!"
The boys were already recovering from the splashdown. Luffy jumped onto the figurehead, soaking wet but grinning from ear to ear. "YEAH! THE NEW WORLD!"
Bakugo spat out a mouthful of seawater, looking around at the turbulent waves. "About damn time. This place looks like it actually has some fight in it."
Yoarashi let out a massive gust of wind from his palms to dry his clothes instantly, his Cape billowing. "THIS SEA HAS INCREDIBLE PASSION! THE PRESSURE IS INTENSE!"
Izuku Midoriya stood near the railing, checking his gear. He glanced over at the girls' side, seeing Hancock, Robin, and the Shirahoshi standing in a tight circle, their faces still carrying the weight of the conversation they had in the void. They were a world apart from the boys' excitement, bound by the secret they shared about the land of gods.
Garp and All Might stood on the main bridge, looking out at the horizon. The sun was bright, but the clouds in the distance were shifting into unnatural, jagged shapes.
"The boys are excited," All Might noted, his cape snapping in the wind. "But the sea is already testing us."
Garp chuckled, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the empty expanse. "It's not just the sea. The darkness we saw at the top... it leaves a mark on a person. Look at those girls."
The ship began to pull away from the Red Line, a lone speck of Academy steel on a sea that had swallowed empires.
The calm of the New World was short-lived. No sooner had the ship leveled out than the sky began to bruise into a sickly shade of violet and green. The wind didn't just blow; it began to scream in a circular pattern, creating a Weather Spiral—a localized atmospheric anomaly where the air and sea twist into a vertical vortex.
"ACTION STATIONS!" Garp's voice boomed from the bridge, a sharp contrast to his usual joking tone. "Listen up, brats! The Academy didn't send you here to be passengers! This is your first lesson in New World survival!"
All Might stepped forward, his cape snapping violently. "Follow the instructions of your squad leaders! Every one of you has a role! Move!"
In the deck...
Nami slammed her hands onto the console. "Momo, I need reinforced steel cables—NOW!"
Momo Yaoyorozu stood her ground, her arms glowing as thick, industrial-grade cables manifested from her skin for the sailors to grab. Inasa roared, his massive frame braced against the tilted deck. He threw his arms out, creating counter-currents of wind to push back against the spiral.
Kawamatsu used his incredible strength to help Zoro and Killer batten down the heavy equipment. Sanji, Kendo, Yui, and Yanagi coordinated the securing of the lifeboats, their feet moving in sync with the ship's erratic tilt.
Bakugo and Kid were at the stern. "Don't tell me what to do!" Bakugo snarled, using explosions to blast away massive hailstones. Kid ignored him, his arms a swirling mass of metal as he reinforced the ship's rudder with magnetic scrap.
High in the rigging, Sabo and Karasu were managing the sails and warding off waterspouts. Izuku Midoriya used his "Blackwhip" to snag falling debris, while Shoto flash-froze the splashing waves before they could flood the main deck. Tokoyami released Dark Shadow to hold down loose crates, and Monoma stood nearby, ready to mimic any power needed.
Hibari was in the crow's nest, her eyes sharp. "Left side! The pressure is peaking on the left!"
Near the infirmary, Kaya and Chopper prepared for casualties. Shirahoshi acted as a beacon of calm. She used her height to reach high emergency latches that Vivi and Hiyori couldn't, securing the inner cabins. Bello Betty stood nearby, her presence alone bolstering the courage of the students like Koby, Tamaki, and Mirio.
Nico Robin stood near the main mast, her "Cien Fleur" manifesting dozens of arms to help Kiku, Tashigi, Kuina, Ain, and Ibara pull the heavy ropes.
Amidst the shouting and the roaring wind, Boa Hancock stood for a moment by the cabin door. She looked at the chaos—the students working, Shirahoshi helping the others, and the frantic movements on deck. Her face was a mask of cold isolation. Without a word, she turned her back on the storm and retreated into her private quarters, the heavy door clicking shut behind her.
The ship suddenly tilted at a sharp angle as the center of the Weather Spiral passed directly overhead.
"BRACE!" Smoker yelled, pinning himself to the deck. "WE'RE GOING THROUGH THE EYE!"..
