Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: The Troubled Minato Namikaze and Jiraiya

Four more days passed.

During these days, Minato Namikaze tried various methods to make Shindai summon Shinobi Hawk, but all of them failed without exception.

This left Minato Namikaze completely baffled, and he even suspected that Shindai might have known the intelligence was fake all along.

But seeing the clear foolishness in Shindai's eyes, Minato Namikaze was certain that Shindai didn't know the intelligence was fake.

So why wasn't Shindai thinking of sending the intelligence back to Hidden Sand Village?

Now, the person by Minato Namikaze's side had changed to Jiraiya.

In fact, it had already changed to Jiraiya three days ago.

Because Tsunade felt that Shindai was playing them, she almost rushed in to beat Shindai.

Fortunately, Minato Namikaze stopped her in time, and just in case Tsunade beat Shindai, Minato Namikaze found Jiraiya, who could already walk, to help.

However, Minato Namikaze and Jiraiya also tried several times, but Shindai remained indifferent, almost driving Minato Namikaze to depression.

Jiraiya narrowed his eyes, looking at Shindai's tent not far away, and seriously said to Minato Namikaze, "Minato, let's give that brat Shindai a shock."

Minato Namikaze inquired, "What kind of shock?"

"Just cooperate with what I say, come with me!"

Familiar location, familiar people.

Jiraiya exaggeratedly said to Minato Namikaze, "Minato, I received top-secret intelligence. Hidden Mist Village is making a big move. I heard they're going to ambush Hidden Sand Village, probably in half a month."

Minato Namikaze feigned surprise, "Is that so? If Hidden Sand Village isn't prepared, won't they suffer heavy losses?"

Jiraiya sighed, "Indeed, if Hidden Sand Village doesn't know this intelligence, they'll be finished."

Jiraiya and Minato Namikaze took turns talking about how dangerous the situation in Hidden Sand Village was.

Inside the tent, Shindai covered his mouth, his expression looking very pained.

However, this pain was from trying to suppress his laughter.

Hidden Mist Village is going to attack Hidden Sand Village?

Is the Third Mizukage of Hidden Mist Village senile? Attacking a desolate Hidden Sand Village, for what?

For a mouthful of sand?

The entire Ninja World knew how poor Hidden Sand Village was.

Even if the ambush succeeded, what then?

It could be said that only Hidden Sand Village messed with others, no one messed with Hidden Sand Village.

Because there were truly no benefits.

Phew, these past few days have been truly comfortable. Lying in bed every day, and the Medical Ninja lady brings him food every day.

Although he could have left long ago, as they were just superficial wounds and had healed, Shindai stubbornly refused to leave, claiming he had internal injuries. The Medical Ninja lady also had no way to deal with the stubborn Shindai.

And these past few days, Shindai could finally read in peace.

Moreover, every day here he could hear Minato Namikaze, Tsunade, or Jiraiya gossiping about Hidden Sand Village, which was really interesting.

Shindai sighed inwardly, wishing he could stay in this tent forever and never go out.

As expected, Minato Namikaze and Jiraiya failed again this time.

It was now the sixth day, meaning they only had one day left.

If Shindai still didn't summon Shinobi Hawk tomorrow, then even if he did summon Shinobi Hawk later, there might not be enough time.

Jiraiya was now very confused: "What's wrong with that kid? I've made it sound so serious, almost saying Hidden Sand Village is going to be wiped out, doesn't he care about Hidden Sand Village at all?"

Minato Namikaze said helplessly, "According to the memories Shindai explored, Shindai barely left his house in Hidden Sand Village and rarely communicated with people, so he might not have much affection for Hidden Sand Village."

Minato Namikaze sighed, "Now it's troublesome. How can we make Shindai summon Shinobi Hawk?"

Jiraiya thought for a moment and then suggested, "Why don't you ask your three students? They've been with Shindai much longer than you, so they definitely know Shindai better than you do. Maybe they have a solution."

Minato Namikaze's eyes lit up, and he agreed, "That makes a lot of sense!"

Minato Namikaze and Jiraiya immediately summoned Kakashi, Obito, and Rin Nohara.

Minato Namikaze briefly explained the situation to the three of them.

Then Minato Namikaze asked, "Kakashi, Obito, Rin, do you three have any good ideas to make Shindai summon Shinobi Hawk?"

Kakashi, Obito, and Rin Nohara exchanged glances and said in unison, "This is very simple."

Minato Namikaze looked at the confident trio and reminded them, "I also thought it was simple at first, but then it all failed."

Obito adjusted his sunglasses and said coolly, "Sensei, the method is wrong."

Kakashi retorted to Obito, "Stop trying to be cool, hurry up and help Minato Sensei solve the problem!"

Then Kakashi said to Minato Namikaze, "Minato Sensei, leave this to us. Obito, Rin, let's go."

The three of them walked directly towards Shindai's tent.

Minato Namikaze and Jiraiya wanted to see how the three of them would solve the problem of Shindai, who had been bothering them for six days.

The three of them arrived at Shindai's tent.

Seeing the three of them, Shindai happily greeted them, "Yo, you guys came to see me!"

Kakashi said seriously, "Shindai, there's a mission."

Seeing Kakashi's serious expression, Shindai became wary, "A mission? What kind of mission? I'm still injured!"

Obito continued to act cool, "I'm good, you're good too."

Shindai rolled his eyes at Obito, "Good my foot!"

Kakashi said gravely, "The four of us must participate in this mission. It's a very difficult mission. In 15 days, the four of us will go to Land of Earth to ambush the Stone Ninja troops transporting supplies."

Shindai was dumbfounded, staring blankly at Kakashi: "The four of us? Ambush Stone Ninja troops? Where's Lord Minato?"

Kakashi replied, "Minato Sensei and the others are attracting fire at the front. This ambush mission is only for the four of us!"

Shindai immediately sprang from the bed, his voice becoming sharp: "Are you crazy?! The four of us going to ambush Stone Ninja troops, isn't that just sending ourselves to our deaths?"

Kakashi said with a look of readiness to die, "Indeed, the risk of this mission is great, but it's all for Konoha. There's no room for discussion on this matter. Get ready, Shindai, we'll act in 15 days!"

Kakashi, Obito, and Rin Nohara left Shindai's tent directly, not giving Shindai a chance to speak.

Shindai was completely numb now.

Among the four of them, only he and Kakashi were strong. How could ambushing Stone Ninja troops possibly succeed?

Stone Ninja troops, mind you, not Stone Ninja squads.

A troop starts with at least ten Ninja.

Shindai paced anxiously back and forth in the tent.

Land of Earth seems to be quite close to the Land of Wind...

Should he just run away?

Leaving aside whether he could escape, even if he did, wouldn't he be severely punished by the Third Kazekage if he returned?

No, first he would write a letter to see if the Third Kazekage would agree to him ending his undercover career. If he agreed, that would be best. If not, he would think of another way then.

Minato Namikaze and Jiraiya's mouths were slightly open, staring dumbfounded at Shindai, who also left the tent stealthily not long after the three of them left.

It was that simple?
