None of the people in The Home blinked at the same time.
They moved like recordings trying to keep up.
She realized the truth:
The Entity does not make people insane.
It archives them.
Those who fail are not killed.
They are stored.
Their memories become rooms.
Their personalities become rules.
Their faces become background figures that guide newcomers.
Rowan tried to leave.
The tunnels closed.
LOG 08 — FINAL TEST
Eli reached the Entity again.
This time, it responded.
Not with words—but by showing him Log 01.
Then Log 02.
Then every log after.
Including this one.
The Entity was never testing them.
It was testing which memories could build better tunnels.
Eli passed.

Rowan is now part of The Home.
She greets new arrivals.
She does not remember Eli.
Eli no longer remembers the outside world.
He is something else now.
