Half a month later, the passenger ship finally arrived in Huaxia.
As the ship docked, Mo Guilan—still in the control room—jumped up in excitement. Then, remembering the man beside her, she quickly suppressed the joy surging in her heart.
Finally… freedom!
The past half month had been far too intense. Not only had she lost several pounds, but dark circles—those so-called "pretty eye bags"—had even appeared beneath her eyes.
"You're free now,"
Shaun Cole said with a smile as he looked at the excited flush on her face.
"Mmm… um… I…"
Mo Guilan hesitated, glancing at the hooded man before her.
"Hm? Is there something you want to say?"
Shaun Cole asked gently.
"Y-you… what's your name?"
Mo Guilan finally asked.
"My name is Shaun Cole," he replied.
"I hope we meet again—if fate allows."
As soon as he finished speaking, Shaun Cole vanished into thin air.
Mo Guilan stood there blankly, her mouth slowly falling open.
She stretched out a trembling hand toward the empty space before her—
but all she felt was flowing air.
Nothing else.
"T-this… this…"
Ten minutes later, Mo Guilan disembarked the ship, still looking somewhat dazed.
"Thirteenth Aunt!"
A familiar voice called out from not far away.
Mo Guilan turned toward the sound and saw a resolute-looking man standing there, dressed in a white robe, his hair tied in a queue, an umbrella held in his hand.
"Feihong!"
Her eyes lit up as she ran toward him.
"You've had a hard journey,"
Frederick Huang said, looking at her haggard appearance.
Hearing this, Mo Guilan paused, then suddenly asked:
"Feihong… do you believe there are immortals in this world?"
"Huh?"
Frederick Huang rubbed his bare forehead in confusion.
"Nothing. Let's go,"
Mo Guilan said, shaking her head as she linked her arm with his.
"Hey—this is a public place. Don't do that,"
Frederick Huang said hurriedly, pulling away.
After the two of them left, Shaun Cole slowly emerged from a distance, watching the direction they disappeared in.
A faint trace of disappointment crossed his face.
So Frederick Huang is only slightly stronger than an ordinary man.
If he fought me… he wouldn't even last a single move.
Just then, Shaun Cole's expression changed.
He sensed a strange fluctuation in the air.
Glancing around, he spotted a bald woman in robes standing in a secluded corner, her eyes filled with vigilance as she watched him.
Shaun Cole raised an eyebrow and walked over with a playful smile.
"Sir,"
the woman said, forming a strange hand seal,
"may I ask where you come from?"
"Your power is interesting,"
Shaun Cole replied instead of answering.
"What is it?"
"Please answer my question,"
the woman said, frowning as her tone hardened.
