"Shadows as we all know, these are dark areas that appear on the ground when an object or someone blocks the light from shining on an area. We also know they take different shapes depending on the shape of the object, but what if I told you there is something that lurks within your shadow. Have you ever wondered why the clans were formed? It was to fight this evil. These shadows used to kill and eat people and their shadows to gain power and strength. There was no way to stop them, as you could already tell from when you were attacked Xavier, your foot passed right through them.
Many years ago, when the Light and Dark Clans were one, they developed techniques and skills, such as the famous technique entity,a technique that allows the user to imbue a weapon with energy to make it effective against the shadows. But this was the early reign of the two clans... They were still not that powerful. This led to them being cornered, unable to defend themselves and the rest of the people. It looked like all was lost, but one of the head leaders of the clan used a technique he had been perfecting to trap the shadows. This technique trapped majority of the shadows inside the shadows of all individuals around the entire earth, hence freeing the earth from a major threat. This cycle was to be passed on when one dies, then to the next and the next. It was safe, as only the weaker ones were transferred to regular people. But to the clan heads, they were given the elites, the ones who spearheaded the entire shadow community and with that, shadows were given shape. But to the end of shadows came a bigger threat, man itself, with a powerful darkness that was trapped inside the one who sealed them. His heart filled with darkness and became of stone. It was the price paid by those who did not have a strong will. This eventually led to the formation of separate clans using different means, and later on, the first clan war.
The techniques which some clans possess are not their own, but those of the shadows. Everyone has a shadow, and as long as you don't let it take over you, you are safe. As for the one you saw outside, it's just as I said most of them were absorbed. So be careful, because they have been there since the first clan war and are much stronger than they previously were." he spoke.
Xavier was filled with fear and excitement at the same time as he thought he would get to fight these things with storm but storm looked at the boy with a face of despair and said "Xavier, I must leave you. Xavier couldn't help but burst into tears as his master was leaving. Storm smiled, knocked the boy unconscious and left him a note along with the katana he promised. With that, Storm finally left.
