After they got out of the restaurant, there was a tense discussion between Jackie's family as they talked about what had happened today as they were in the car planning to get to their new house. Jackie was in the back seat in the middle as his sister sat in the back left seat. Jackie's mother sat in the front seat driving while their father was busy looking over papers. Soon their mother spoke up "How much would it be to pay the rent?" Their father shuffled over the papers before his eyes furrowed and turned around to his wife "More than what it has shown us but that's a conversation for another time when the kids aren't here."
Alina looked behind her before sighing and said "Alright, we talk this later Dear." as she focused on driving again. Lily spoke to Jackie quietly "Hey, brother! What do you think happened after that?" Jackie looked confused for a moment before asking "After what?" As Lily clarified by saying "After the crash that happened in that restaurant." Jackie heard what she said and immediately tensed up, he didn't forget about the whole car crash and the bloodied appearance of the person themselves. He avoided her gaze as he was a bit sensitive to blood as a whole. He crossed his arm before saying "I'm sure it would get figured out soon."
Lily nodded before quietly eating her crisps as Jackie looked at the GPS that was showing on the screen that was attached to the car as it said that there was 25 minutes left as Jackie slumped backwards on his seat. Soon his father said something that Jackie didn't expect as he perked up in curiosity "Well kids, we will be seeing your Aunt." Lily asked with childish curiosity to the news that appeared suddenly "Well is Cousin Melina here?" Jackie expression changed when he heard that question, he looked a bit uneasy but was still kind of excited to meet her. Jackie always found Melina a bit unnerving as a honest opinion. Melina was known for her extreme love for Halloween and kept waking everyone at the most random times. She was also jittery and couldn't stay in one place. Jackie overall did love her but her behaviour was unpredictable as a whole.
"Yeah she will also be there." James their father said as their mother sighed and her husband turned to her as he said "I know you find her pretty strange but she's a kid, she will get over it." Alina looked him before saying "I hope her attitude does change quickly." As James chuckled a bit and replied "It won't be a quick change you know, remember how we were as kids. You constantly put socks on trees." Alina blushed with embarrassment as Jackie looked with confusion before asking in bewilderment "You did what now?" as Alina didn't reply and had her eyes on the road. Later they arrived at the house as they got outside of the car and saw quite a large house that had cyan paint and there was this sea smell that came around it.
Two people came outside as it was their Aunt and Cousin. Melina was a young child around 11, she had medium tan skin with grey eyes and long dark brown hair. She also had light freckles spotted around her face and wore a blue dress with butterflies on them as she excitedly ran over to Jackie and Lily. Their aunt who was known as Aurelia had ginger hair with blue hightlights with grey eyes and light tan skin. Aurelia wore a white jumper with a thin black jacket that she wore over the jumper. She gave a firm handshake to James and Alina as she greeted them "Long no time no see, James. I see your wife is well." They both nodded as she went to help with the luggage and put it in their house.
Melina hugged Jackie before saying "Your here!" Immediately she dragged them as Jackie was dragged in first. Lily was dragged in afterwards as Melina turned around before saying "Wait here, I'm going to get something quickly." Melina ran upstairs before both of them wash their hands and dried them with a towel. They saw that Melina somehow quickly appeared carrying DIY crafts. Lily was more eager by saying "Can I do this with you?" While Jackie wasn't sure for a long moment but agreed since Melina was known to be extremely forceful. Soon they at the table, making paper crowns.
The three adults came inside putting the suitcases into a small private place as they went into another room to discuss some things between themselves. Melina stopped cutting for a moment before running off again, soon grabbing a plastic bag full of plastic sticky gems and stickers. Melina put it on the table as she had this mischievous smirk. She suddenly threw a water balloon at Jackie who yelled in surprise "Melina! That was my clothes!" As Melina giggled. Jackie saw that his clothes also had glitter as he got up to wash himself and went into the showers.
Alina and Aurelia came seeing the table seeing that some of the glitter covering the table as Lily was watching while Melina has a wide cheeky smirk on her face. Aurelia soon began saying in quite a stern voice "Melina. You know how rude it is to throw glitter at a table right?" As Melina soon said "But they are our family!" Aurelia tried to say otherwise as Melina was excitedly trying to convince her. After 37 minutes or so, Jackie came out in a dressing gown which was one of the new ones. The adults turned around seeing Jackie as Jackie said "She threw glitter at me." As everyone turned to her and sighed expecting this antic from her.
Jackie asked where his suitcase was as his parents showed where they placed it. Jackie grabbed it and found the guest bedroom as he changed into his new clothes and after a while of reading a book, went to dinner as he was called downstairs ready to eat. After eating with the family, he went upstairs getting changed into his pyjamas and ready to go to sleep for the night as darkness finally crept through the house as it became 9pm.
