Once I was on the ground, I looked back at the beach, but I didn't see the beach; I saw one of those stereotypical demon lairs. The sky was red because the cave was under an active volcano and was full of skulls, but there was also beautiful obsidian etched into the walls. As a contrast to the Obsidian, there were black icicles. It looked like I was standing on a river of blood. The floors were coated in something red. I heard a loud pain pain-filled scream. The only light came from the crimson crystals in the walls, and some were on the floor.
So as I walked down the halls, I could see that there were rooms that branched off of the main walkway, and one door was cracked, so I stepped closer to see what was going on in there because I found out that the screaming was coming from in there. I got up closer, and I saw an animal-looking demon lashing a damned soul on their back. I stood there for a few minutes to relish in the soul's pain.
Eventually, I keep walking, curiosity pushing me forward. When I get close to the room that I'm guessing is very important, I see guards, Tall, muscular demons with multiple deformities, like some have one arm that's thicker or just longer than the other, and others have a sulphurous stink that makes people want to stay away. I find the throne room a few minutes later, and there is definitely a reason why it's called the throne room. There were three main thrones: the one in the middle was the biggest, and the one with carvings of skulls, thorns, and roses. The throne was carved from ruby. The one to its right is the second biggest; it has war scenes and vines. The one to the middle's left is the smallest and the most confusing; it doesn't have a specific design. Nevertheless, it's beautiful.
But the people on the thrones are the most elegant-looking people in the demon realm. I stood at the edge of the room and awaited my invitation. When Hera, the one in the middle throne, nodded, I continued into the room, and when I got up to the platform the thrones were on, I bowed and fisted my hands, and put them in an X across my chest.
When I looked up, I said, "Greetings, your majesties, I'm not sure how I got here, but I am grateful for this chance."
Hera smirked, "I brought you here because I wanted to warn you about a threat against Gehena Academy. You are, as the principal said, the strongest and smartest at that school. I feel you are going to be the best help, and I don't want you to cloud your head with those puny angels taking up residence there."
I nodded and said, "I'm honoured to be here, and I will keep that advice in mind, but I will need to associate myself with them for at least a little bit, or they will be suspicious of what I'm doing."
Asmodeus said, "You are planning to get your memories back with a forbidden potion, are you not?"
I look up at him with a little defiance, "Yes, I'm taking back what was rightfully mine. Whoever took them did not deserve to take away my origin."
He looked me square in the face and said, "You won't like what you find, and before you ask, we cannot help you; it is a road you have to go down alone."
I furrowed my eyebrows and said, "What kind of threat is coming to my school?" Hera took a deep breath and listened to the tortured screams ringing through the halls, and said, "A parasitic magical entity mixed with an entity that manipulates people to cause chaos and destruction, which they feed off of, that also makes demons more emotionless and angels feel drained and weak."
A million thoughts surrounded my head like: what the hell? And what'll that do to Ezra? I hope Christopher suffers.
I looked up at Hera again and said, "Alright, I'll be on the lookout for anything abnormal." Asmodeus smiled, " I look forward to seeing your devilish side again."
I smirk, "That principal gets on my nerves." Asmodeus and Hera can see their demon subjects through a portal on the wall, so that is probably why they know so much about me. As I look at them, they start to fade, and then I feel really far away. I blinked and I found myself lying on the heated beach, and the sun was almost set. I stood up and brushed myself off, getting ready to head off to the library to see if my friends were there.
