Ronan's voice carried desperation, but underneath it was excitement. He believed his situation had changed and Camile would finally give him a listening ear.
"I have money now, a lot of it," Ronan added.
Camile exchanged a glance with Mack before speaking again. "Where did you suddenly get the money from?"
"That is not important," Ronan replied quickly. "What matters is that I can take care of you now. You don't have to stay there… wherever you are."
Mack stepped closer, his sharp gaze fixed on the phone as if he could see through it.
"Ask him how," Mack mouthed.
Camile nodded, immediately grasping what he meant.
"Ronan, I want to know how you got the money. The last time you tried to help me, all the cards were frozen. I don't want to impose on you, and I don't want you to do things you are not supposed to do because of me." Camile said in a docile tone.
