Laurel grabbed her car keys and stepped out of her room immediately.
The moment she stepped outside the mansion, the heat slapped her in the face.
She let out an irritated sigh, before entering her car. She drove to the warehouse. She said a brief greeting to Nate and the other guard before heading straight to the farmland.
Her steps faltered a bit when she saw the crops had fully grown, ripe for harvest. The corn stalks were tall, the bean vines were full, and the tomatoes looked red and juicy. The whole field looked like it had been growing for months.
"I can help with the harvesting." Ling Xuan's voice echoed in her head.
Laurel almost chuckled out of disbelief. "You want to help?"
"Harvesting requires strength. I can help you with it." Ling Xuan replied.
"Hmm okay. You can help with the potatoes, but they are not ready yet. I'll start with the easy ones before they are ready." Laurel said.
Ling Xuan didn't say another word, and Laurel took it as a yes.
