After a while, we walked up a large vine like a stairway, thick and ridged enough to serve as a natural ramp.
The vine twisted gently upward, bark warm and faintly pulsing under my boots, small glowing buds blooming along its length whenever Isabelle brushed her fingers against them. They opened like tiny lanterns, casting soft golden light that guided our path.
We arrived in their training center.
A small note: the "sun" here was an artificial magical light that mimicked day and night.
High above us, suspended in the vast canopy like a floating orb, it glowed a warm amber now, making it resemble the approach of evening somehow.
But there wasn't any sunset at all; just literal day or night flipping at some unseen command.
I feel like the shift would be weird, but oddly interesting; like the realm had its own quiet rhythm, independent of the outside world.
The training center itself was quite large and breathtaking.
