Synopsis
Lars is a weeb with a normal day to day job and has a hobby of weightlifting. That was until the glorious Truck-kun chose him as his target. When he opened his eyes, Lars found himself standing in front of an old man, with an unusually huge stack of paperwork around him. The old man gave him an offer, rest, or be reincarnated into another world. Lars, obviously chose the latter. Little did he know, he was about to craft a new legend for himself, in the world of Genshin Impact. (Yo, author's back at it. There will be no 18+ scenes though sorry. If you don't like it then don't read it. And if you have something to say about it, please be respectful.)

Chapter 1 - New Beginnings

So you're telling me, not only am I reincarnating in the Genshin Impact world, the world I'm reincarnating in has Haki?!" A black haired man shouted in frustration, his hands buried in his hair.

The elderly man nodded, sitting behind a desk filled to the brim with paperwork. "Yes, Lars. But fear not, as you said before when you arrived at the Isekai Room, you wanted to be a powerhouse of your own. So I have two gifts for you, one is that you are able to wield all seven elemnts of Teyvat only after you touch their respective Statue of The Seven. And the other gift...." He man smirked.

"I'll give you the honor of choosing it. Be it a unique power of your own, or the powers of others. Choose wisely, young man."

That got Lars thinking. 'Having the ability to use all seven elements is very useful indeed. I can get creative with that arsenal. But that's not enough considering the people of Teyvat have the ability use Haki. Wait-' The man narrowed his eyes.

'Considering that fact, then how many types of Haki will I be able to use? There's no guarantee that I will be able to use Conqueror's Haki when I get reincarnated there. Even if I choose some powerful ability, there's no guarantee that I can match the Archons. Then it's settled.' He looked up at the elderly man once again.

"Let me have the abilities of Gol D Roger from One Piece!"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes!" The man nodded determinedly, confirming his choice.

"Very well then, but mind you, you won't be able to use every single ability as soon as you get to that world. You'd have to work for it."

"I....Sure, whatever. Anything else you wanna add?"

"Yes, you'll have a basic sword with you, to ease you with your journey."

"Thanks...I guess..." He awkwardly scratched his head.

"By the way, the timeline you'll be waking up in is about a few months before The Traveler wakes up from their slumber. Oh and did I mention that you'll be waking up in the Chasm-"

" THE WHAT-"

"Tata." With a snap of his finger, the man in front of him disappeared. The old man chuckled to himself as he signed some papers.

"What an interesting boy, haven't seen those like him in a while. We'll see where he goes from here.... "

.....

"Damn you old man! How dare you drop me in a place like this?!" Lars cursed as he ran from multiple large Hydro Slimes leaping towards him.

'Argh! This is no use! If I keep running they're just going to keep chasing! Screw it!' Lars looked down at the sword he was holding before he stopped in his tracks, as one of the slimes leapt towards him.

With a shout, Lars swung his sword at the slime, widening his eyes a little at how easily his sword sliced through the blue slime. With one of them down, Lars turned his attention towards the other two slimes.

One of the slimes leapt towards him. Lars gulped and readied himself, before getting the timing right and slicing diagonally, cutting the slime cleanly in half. Two down, one more to go.

Feeling brave, Lars went on the offensive this time. Stabbing his sword into the slime, he pulled his sword, slicing the slime apart with ease.

The fight was over. Lars stared at the blobs around him before sighing in relief, grateful that he survived this. He looked at his hand. 'Well, it's a start, but I seem to have a small part of Gol D Roger's swordsmanship skills. Better than nothing I suppose.'

"Finally, the coast is clear." He whispered to himself, a small satisfied small on his face. But then, he noticed something wrong with his shadow.

"Since when did I have a hat on?" Lars then froze, before he slowly turned around, praying that i wasn't what he thought it was.

He was met with a large Floating Hydro Fungus, floating towards him. It's small tentacle like limbs came together and started charging up an attack.

"ME AND MY BIG MOUTH!" Lars shouted as a giant water bubble headed his way. He dove to his side before getting up once more, not having time to rest as the blue fungus tried bumping into him.

He raised his sword and slashed off a part of the fungus. But it wasn't enough to bring it down. Lars gritted his teeth a little, noticing that the desperate fungus was now charging up another elemental attack. It fired multiple water bubbles towards him.

Lars dashed towards the fungus, dodging some but was forced to block one of the water bubbles with his blade. He flinched a little, although small i size, the bubble sure did pack a punch, pushing him back a little. Then, the fungus leapt towards him once again, intending to knock him over.

"Oh no you don't!" But Lars was quicker, swinging his blade, he dealt the finishing blow to the fungus, slashing it from the side.

"Ugh....." The hydro fungus before him was now just a big bunch of spores and cyst. Lars already felt like this was going to be a long day, or was it night time.

Obviously he couldn't tell, being in the depths of The Chasm and all. Lars was about to leave, when he heard something similar to footsteps approaching him.

"You gotta be kidding me...." Lars whispered, staring straight at a Cryo Whopperflower. Without hesitation, the Whopperflower slammed down the large petals on it's head, shooting a trial of ice spikes speeding towards Lars who barely dodged in time.

Grunting as he rolled on the ground, Lars quickly gathered himself as the whopperflower followed up with a spin attack. Lars held up his blade to his left side to block the attack, grunting in pain once again as he was sent flying to his right.

Rubbing his body, he eyed the whopperflower which created an ice fruit of sorts before closing it's petals, swallowing said fruit like object while it's body created an ice barrier.

'It's charging up!' Lars acted quickly dashing towards the creature. With a yell, he swung his blade at it. The shield around the whopperflower's body broke as it bent down.

Realizing that it was stunned, Lars raised his sword once again, attempting to cut it down. He widened his eyes in shock as the whopperflower suddenly gathered itself before sinking into the ground.

Lars immediately entered a stance as he looked around him, waiting for the whopperflower to emerge. 'Of course it wouldn't be this easy to defeat it.' He complained before noticing movement from his peripheral vision.

A second later, the whopperflower emerged nearby. Lars was about to attack, but stopped immediately as he noticed the posture the whopperflower had. It's body was bent, it's top pointing straight at Lars. Lars recognized that posture, which meant only one thing.

"Oh no-" The whopperflower started spinning rapidly like a Gatling gun as it opened it's closed petals, firing ice projectiles straight at Lars. He started running in circles around the creature, the whopperflower's still firing towards him, but he just had to run until it ran out of ammo.

'Now!' The second it stopped firing, Lars dashed towards it, swinging with all his might as he cut off the middle of the whopperflower, it's top half flying far away.

Lars stared at the dead creature as he stabbed his blade on the ground, placing both hands on the hilt and leaning on it a little. "What an amazing first day...." He grumbled sarcastically, catching his breath. One thing's for certain, it definitely won't be boring down here.

"I definitely need to keep moving.... Stay in one spot for too long and the whole chasm will know I'm here." Lars whispered, noticing another group of slimes advancing towards him.

"But hey, look on the bright side, at least I get some training in." He smirked, a newfound confidence merging with his soul. Raising his sword once more, he changed towards the slimes with a vigor.

That was the new routine for Lars as he adapted to life in the Chasm. Every few minutes, it was either slimes, floating fungi, or whopperflowers, sometimes he had to find groups of the three blue creatures. It wasn't fun, especially when he fought a group of whopperflowers on day two, the bruises from the ice projectiles hurt like hell.

The exhaustion was another thing. If he was lucky enough, he was able to rest for about thirty minutes before a new group of creatures would appear. Sleep became a non-existent word in the Chasm. Micro sleep would become his body's latest adaptation, and usually it would usually last for about 5 minutes before his senses started flaring due to the approaching monsters.

Food was extremely scarce in the Chasm, his only food source being the slimes and whopperflowers he defeated, and his hydration source being the hydro fungi.

Obviously it wasn't a five star meal, it wasn't even a quarter of a star, but Lars learned how to be grateful for the little things through these times. But even though his diet was abysmal, his strength kept growing.

Lars realized that his blade felt lighter to wield as time went on. His swordfighting skills had improved, and his physical stats have gone up despite the diet. Lars' theory was like so, as time went on, the more Lars pushed himself, his abilities would be more like Gol D Roger's, slowly but surely.

That was a sigh of relief for Lars, as he knew that the enemies he was currently facing were only the weaker ones in the Chasm. The Whopperflowers, which he deemed to be the more difficult opponents to face, was a piece of cake for him on his fifth day in the Chasm.

Lars wasn't keeping count of how long time passed in the Chasm, neither did he care. His main goal was to escape the Chasm first, but not before he gained some strength. This place is the perfect training arena for him.

Lars stopped in his tracks, in awe as he was faced with a gigantic mushroom. "Woah...." He whistled, staring at it.

"Two leg..." Lars widened his eyes and looked around him. 'Who was that? Is someone here?' He gripped his blade tightly.

"In front of you. Xamaran calls." Lars looked at the mushroom, blinking a couple of times before setting down his sword a little.

"You... can talk?" Lars stuttered out, confused about the situation he landed in. Lars didn't know much about the Chasm and quests it had, preferring to complete the main quests and the ones that didn't require him to go under the land. Maybe this was one of the World Quests.

"Yes. Fate has brought you here, O Two Legged. Xamaran has a favor to ask." Lars blinked, his hunch was right, it is a quest after all.

"Xamaran has dwelled here for many a year and found it a cozy and comfy home... Yet foul energy is growing lately. Xamaran has been drained of strength fending off the evil and has ended up in this state. Xamaran must seek help from the two-legged."

"Well you do look a little under the weather..." Lars mumbled, sizing up the gigantic mushroom. He then remembered something, he looked at the stick on his left hand that had a bright blue stone attached to it. It was a Lumenstone Adjuvant, one he had found off a skeleton not long ago, a dead miner perhaps.

"Maybe this would help you, Xamaran." He gently tapped the stone on the giant Xamaran's stem, the Lumenstone glowed brightly as Lars saw blue energy flowing into Xamaran.

"Woah.... Shiny.... " Lars whispered as Xamaran grew even brighter, lighting up the whole cavern with it's beautiful glow.

"Hail to the Two Legged Traveler." Lars gave an embarrassed grin at Xamaran's praise.

"Call me Lars, Xamaran." Lars introduced himself, not wanting Xamaran to call him Two Legged Traveler the whole time.

"Thank you, Lars. But do not let your guard down yet. Xamaran knows that the foul energy is not yet eradicated. It could strike back at any time." Xamaran warned vaguely.

"Any time? Like... now?" Lars commented as he saw dark mud around the area, containing tumorous growth amidst it, seemingly sustaining the mud.

"Lars, please lend Xamaran your strength." Lars looked at the giant mushroom and nodded, approaching the foul energy and placing his Lumenstone Adjuvant near it. It sent out a pulse, immediately dissipating the tumorous growth alongside the mud.

Noticing that there were two more, pools of dark mud, Lars went to work, clearing them off one by one. When he was done, he approached Xamaran once again.

"Hail Lars! None answered Xamaran's call for help. The many-legged and four-legged paid no heed, and the two-legged turned a deaf ear. Only the wise would answer. Lars proved to be one with wisdom. You, wisest of the two legged, have Xamaran's full gratitude."

"It was no trouble, Xamaran. I was just doing what was right." Lars smiled, appreciating the eccentric compliments.

"Xamaran is cleared of the foul energy, yet its kin still suffer. Xamaran lacks the strength now to shelter the weak like it once did. Please, Lars, Xamaran begs of you. Exercise your benevolence and save the defenseless. "

"So more sick mushrooms huh? Sure, I was planning to explore this Chasm more anyways. Do you have a way to help them, Xamaran?"

"Help them as you have helped Xamaran when you first arrived. They are not far, and they are not many in number. Once you are done, come back to Xamaran. Xamaran has one last task for you, then Xamaran will gift you a great reward."

Heeding the sentient mushroom's request, Lars did as he was told, energizing the mushrooms around the cavern, while fighting off new monsters such as Electro Cicin. They were annoying to deal with, as they kept flying around him like flies, but he got them in the end.

Xamaran was obviously grateful for his assistance, and assigned him one more task before it would give Lars a reward. In Xamaran's words, it told Lars to follow the water to search for the source of the foul energy.

Then, Lars would have to use the Blessings of Wisdom, an object he gained from Xamaran, Condensed from the fungus' absorbed nutrients and the agglomeration of spores.

It wasn't a hard job, as he found it relatively easily and dealt with it. As he used the Blessings of Wisdom, a large mushroom grew out from the ground, surprising Lars.

With his job completed, Lars returned to the sentient mushroom once again, reporting that he was done with the request. "Hail Lars! May no regrets linger in the night bygone. May all shadows fade ere the dawn to come. And now, your reward. Please, lay your blade in front of Xamaran."

Cautiously, Lars gently placed his sword in front of the mushroom. He watched as Xamaran transferred blue energy through the ground towards his blade, imbuing it with a bunch of energy. The blade transformed right in front of his eyes.

Something normal had became this masterpiece, all because he lend a helping hand. Lars took the blade and look at Xamaran.

"Thank you Xamaran...."

"No...Thank you, Lars. May you be blessed on your journey ahead. But now, Xamaran has spent too much strength. It was a pleasant conversation with you, but Xamaran must rest now and gather the strength to fend off evil and provide a shelter for its kin to prosper."

"Well, I guess this is farewell then huh?" Lars commented.

"This is not a farewell, Lars, this is a see you later." Lars blinked before smiling, turning back and walking away.

"Got it, see you later then..."

He received no reply.

"Oh, how much I want to sleep... I gotta get outta here fast!"

To be continued.....

(I'm bored, might as well)
