He wanted to make sure everything was safe and prevent any more accidents. At the same time, the strange power holding Kong Mingan still was lifted. In the silent world around them, Kong Mingan became the second person who could move freely.
Kong Mingan looked up and saw a pair of eyes that seemed to hold the power of pure destruction. The figure was watching him with great interest. A majestic voice filled with curiosity spoke to him. The man asked if the boy was not afraid of death. Facing a God while being a mere mortal should make anyone nervous, but Kong Mingan relaxed once he saw the posture of the God of Destruction.
Kong Mingan shook his head and said that he was actually very afraid of death. He explained that there were so many things he had not done yet, and dying now would mean he had not lived his life to the fullest.
The God of Destruction noted that he hadn't noticed any fear. Kong Mingan calmly replied that he was simply willing to admit defeat. He told the God that he had made every preparation possible within his limited power.
He had set up automatic defenses against a Limit Douluo and had two powerful protectors he trusted who could arrive in an instant. He had calculated many possibilities and designed plans for them. He said that if he went to such lengths and still died, it just meant he was not good enough and lost the gamble.
A small flash of appreciation appeared in the eyes of the God of Destruction. Ever since his own God Position and his wife's position as the Goddess of Life had shifted, he had called upon his Seven Deadly Sins.
All seven of these First-Rank Gods had looked at the same person and reached the same conclusion. They all believed they had found a successor for their God Positions. This young man had perfect compatibility with every God Position, which was something that had never happened before.
The God of Destruction had been watching the boy since that day. When the spirit beast Da Ming first moved to attack, the God was ready to step in and protect him. However, the young man had many tricks that surprised everyone.
He had defensive spirit tools and protectors that caught the onlookers off guard. Even so, the God eventually had to intervene. The God of Destruction narrowed his eyes like a teacher testing a student. He told Kong Mingan that he did not believe the boy was out of plans.
Kong Mingan blinked and looked even more relaxed. He admitted that he had divided his soul and filled the pieces with all his knowledge. He explained that if he died, these soul fragments would use a special undead plane to escape the Douluo Plane.
He said they would be driven by the need for revenge and would grow in power by any means necessary. They would not stop until they became a First-Rank God or even a God King to destroy the targets he had chosen.
The God of Destruction watched the young man explain this grand plan for revenge. His mouth twitched a little bit. He realized that if Kong Mingan could not live, he would make sure no one else lived either. The God stayed silent for a moment before saying that he thought the boy was a bit too extreme. Kong Mingan just smiled and didn't seem to care about the comment. He looked like someone who knew he was being difficult but had no plans to change.
The God of Destruction thought to himself that this kid was a perfect seed for the power of destruction. He decided to offer the boy an invitation. He introduced himself as the God of Destruction, one of the five God Kings of the God Realm.
He told Kong Mingan that his wisdom, nature, and determination to bring others down with him were perfect for his legacy. He asked if the boy was willing to accept the God Position. He promised that if he agreed, he would give him a God Examination to become a God King.
Kong Mingan became very quiet. This offer was much bigger than anything he had expected. Being one of the five God Kings was a path to incredible power. It was a much better deal than becoming a regular First-Rank God.
However, instead of being happy, he felt confused. He knew he was usually a kind person and didn't like putting others in danger unless he had no choice. He didn't think his personality was a perfect match for the concept of destruction.
Then he realized it wasn't about his personality, but his spirit. His spirit allowed him to control energy. Since the power of destruction was a form of energy, he was perfectly compatible with it. By that same logic, he was compatible with every other God Position as well. This realization made his expression turn very interesting. He thought of a new possibility and decided to test the God. Instead of answering the invitation, he asked if he could say a few words.
The God of Destruction told him to speak. He was determined to get this young man into his camp. He even thought that if the boy refused, he would bring his wife, the Goddess of Life, to offer two God King positions at once.
He didn't believe anyone could say no to that. He wasn't worried about the boy having two positions. Usually, that only caused problems for people with low talent, but this boy was special. He even hoped the boy could use both Life and Destruction to bring back the power of Creation.
Kong Mingan started to speak slowly. He said that he knew some things about the God Realm and the God of Destruction. The God remained calm, thinking the boy was just a lucky person who had been reborn or came from another world.
He didn't think it was a big deal. Then Kong Mingan mentioned that he heard some rumors. He said he heard that the God of Destruction and the Goddess of Life had been married for a long time but had no children. He mentioned that the rumor said it was because the God was impotent.
The God of Destruction frowned with a hint of anger and asked if the boy knew what he was saying. Kong Mingan did not get scared. He simply added that he might be able to cure the problem. The God of Destruction gasped and his tone became very serious. He looked at the boy and told him to explain more.
