"Oh, if it isn't Lucien. Bitch, have you cleaned the toilets? You know that's where your water is and where you eat. Make it squishy clean, won't you?"
A female voice rang out, followed by soft laughter. A fragile, almost crippled male body could be seen in the room.
A male body lay on a bed smaller than that of a child, more like a pillow. The ground was jagged, stained as blood flowed from the man's body. His face was hollow, lifeless. One could say he was closer to death than he had ever imagined.
And all of this happened because of the apocalypse that struck a week earlier.
There's a saying: Always cherish the moments you have. Enjoy them, dwell in them, drown in them if possible because the very next moment, you might fall from the top straight into hell.
The same happened to me in this forsaken world.
*****
A Week Earlier — Monday, Year 20**
"Yes… suck on it,"
A rough, almost breathless male voice echoed through the room, accompanied by constant slurping sounds.
This was the Shin High Building—the epitome of commercial trading. Though only a branch in this massive city, its presence alone caused surrounding land prices to skyrocket. Many lost their properties as wealthy individuals used money and power to secure land nearby, all in hopes of gaining favor with the general manager.
For the rich, it was opportunity.
For the poor, it was torment.
Curses and hatred brewed among the displaced residents, but they were quickly silenced. The Shin High Building had elevated the city to first-class status, a tourist hotspot and a massive jackpot for the government. Of course, they would never allow it to fall.
Yet the very manager the rich were desperate to meet was at the top floor, indulging in his most primal desires.
"Come on, bitch… more."
With a cruel laugh, Lucien stretched out his hand and roughly grabbed the hair of the woman kneeling before him.
His trousers were pulled down to his knees, the glorious sight of two beautiful jugs right before his eyes.
Despite the rough handling, the woman seemed to enjoy it, putting in even more effort.
"Mai, you are the best secretary. Expect a massive raise in your salary next month,"
Lucien struggled to speak as he felt himself nearing his peak. His body tensed as waves of intense pressure hit him one after another.
"Ye…sss, Master,"
Mai replied. Her face briefly came into view—her hair messy and hanging loose, yet unable to hide her beauty, nor her cute, small pink lips that seemed to drain all strength from Lucien.
"Argh… fuck… I'm coming!"
Lucien pulled her closer and released straight into her mouth.
Mai was stunned by the sudden grab, but only for a moment. She had done this many times before. She swallowed as the warm, sticky liquid slid quickly down her throat.
"Ahh… ah… Master, your load is even more today. Isn't that good enough? That means—"
Mai said as she stood up.
Lucien's eyes widened as he licked his lips. No matter how many times he had seen her body, it never failed to please him.
The curves.
The soft skin.
The long legs… and the perky back.
Lucien Junior perked up once more as he grinned.
"Haha, what if I still have more energy?"
He asked with a wicked smile.
"Isn't that convenient?"
Mai turned slowly, her butt facing Lucien.
She lifted her skirt inch by inch, teasing him as her white panties came into full view. She smiled lightly, shifting them little by little.
With every movement, Lucien grew more excited—until a knock interrupted him.
"Knock, knock. Manager, it's Mya."
A soft, alluring feminine voice sounded. Lucien sneered, his eyes narrowing as a frown formed instantly.
Mai frowned as well—disgust and dislike clear on her face.
"If it isn't the regular party pooper. Come in,"
Lucien said as he pulled up his boxers and trousers.
Click.
The door opened, and a tall woman walked in. Her attire was similar to Mai's—she was Lucien's second secretary. But her body, her beauty—everything—was leagues above Mai.
Despite his frown, the intense desire in Lucien's eyes couldn't be hidden.
It was like a cake placed inches away—no matter how far you stretched, you could never reach it, let alone taste it.
Mya entered, the scene exactly as she had expected. Mai's shirt was disheveled, missing several buttons, her face flushed with disgust as she walked out.
Mya paid her no attention. Lucien was her concern.
Yet looking at the half-naked Lucien filled her with revulsion.
So this is the man my family wants me to marry? What a disgrace to the Jinog family. Their heir is nothing but a waste.
Lucien knew exactly what she was thinking—but why should he care?
Grabbing his shirt and tossing it over his shoulder, he leaned against his desk and looked at her.
Unlike Mai's 5'7 height, Mya stood close to 5'9. Taller, more beautiful, more alluring.
And most importantly—
She was his fiancée.
"Lucien, isn't this pathetic?"
Mya finally spoke, her voice soft but cold.
"How?"
Lucien replied lazily, looking her up and down as he clicked his tongue.
His desk was littered with documents he should have signed days ago.
"What do you stand to gain? Aren't I your bride-to-be?"
Mya asked, her expression indifferent.
Lucien laughed softly.
"To gain? Pleasure you can't give me."
"Mya—the apple of the great Zhou family's eye. So high and mighty."
"You think I didn't know what your family thinks? That I'm not worthy of you?"
"Not good enough? Not up to par?"
"Fuck all that."
He grabbed the cold coffee from the cup and took a sip, his body shuddering slightly.
"Did you really expect me to change? To live up to your expectations and chase you?"
"Hell no."
"I live my life my way."
"You might be beautiful, but you're not the best."
"There are better women out there—so why should I try to please someone who doesn't even see me as an equal?"
Lucien spat the words out, anger flashing in his eyes as he stared straight at Mya.
"You know…"
Mya paused, allowing Lucien to speak his mind.
"When I was told I had a husband somewhere, I thought it would be a very promising man. A man who had conquered the world."
She let out a cold breath.
"But I was wrong."
"It turned out to be you—the dandy son of the Jinog family."
"Look at you. A branch manager of the Shin High Building."
"Your family could buy the entire enterprise, and their pockets wouldn't even feel it."
She turned slightly, her voice calm but cutting.
"To the outside world, you are a successful, promising man."
"To us…"
"You are a failure."
With that, Mya turned her back and walked toward the door.
Normally, Lucien would have called her back—shouted, raged, done something. But the closer Mya got to the door, the more surprised she became.
Did my words finally get through to this beast?
She shook her head almost immediately.
Impossible.
"You …"
Lucien spoke.
Mya stopped just inches from the door.
"I know about the dissolution papers."
"I heard you already signed them."
"I thought you came here to deliver them to me."
His voice was cocky, almost mocking.
"Or am I wrong?"
"Does the pride of the Zhou family actually want me?"
"Love me?"
He's still the same…
But how does he know?
A spy? Or—
"I did,"
Mya replied after a brief pause.
"But your brother intervened."
"Even a bastard son like you deserves one more chance."
With those words, Mya opened the door and walked out.
Clank.
Pow!
The cup was hurled at the door, shattering violently as it hit the ground.
Lucien gritted his teeth.
"Him again?"
His voice was low, trembling with restrained rage.
"Which brother?"
"That bastard isn't related to me in any way."
He paused, his fists clenching as memories flooded his mind.
"Ever since the day you entered my life…"
"…everything changed."
