Chapter 29 - White Lion

[ You have dealt 12,908 damage to the target. ]

[ You have dealt 11,987 damage to the target. ]

Two strikes were enough.

Zibal's HP was erased instantly as his body shattered into particles of light.

The arena fell silent.

Alan stood alone, lowering his blade as he canceled his Transformation skill.

[ You have completed Stage 1 of the Sword Saint Candidate Quest. ]

[ Stage 2 Quest Available ]

Quest:

Defeat a Great Demon, as the Sword Saint Muller once did.

Reward:

Continuation of the Sword Saint Candidate Quest

Time Limit: None ]

Hm… I've defeated a Berserker, Swordsman, Summoner, Fire Mage, Ice Mage, Vanguard, Linker, Aura Master, and Spearman, Alan thought.

Later, if I go to the Tzedkah guild, I can also defeat an Archer from the Top 20… along with a Martial Artist, Paladin, Air Mage, Guardian Knight, Assassin…

Once I defeat twenty different classes from the Top 20 rankings, I'll obtain the passive skill—Supreme Ruler.

Alan sheathed the greatsword at his side as Zibal and the others, now revived, gathered at the arena's betting storage and handed over all the items he had won.

Zibal and the others hesitated, then looked at Alan.

"Do you need anything else?" Alan asked, tilting his head slightly.

Zibal exchanged glances with the others before nodding.

"We were planning to form a guild to dominate the continent," Zibal said."How about you become the guild master?"

Alan paused.

It would definitely be useful to have them under me… he thought. But right now, it isn't necessary.

"I'll decide later," Alan replied calmly.

With that, he turned and left the arena.

His objective here had already been achieved.

"How can we contact you again?" Zibal asked.

Alan paused, then glanced back over his shoulder.

"As I said, I'll contact you later—if I decide I want to be in a guild with you," Alan replied coldly, before walking away.

"Tch. I don't like his tone," Seuron muttered.

"And how did all of you agree to let him become the guild master?" Hurent demanded.

"We voted," Asuka replied, crossing her arms. "And most of us chose him."

"It's natural for the strongest to lead," Teddy added calmly.

"Tch! Just wait. I'll defeat him myself—then all of you will be under me!" Hurent snapped before storming off.

"I doubt he can defeat him," Bondre said quietly, watching Hurent leave.

"Kekeke… I thought you would be the angriest," Seuron said, glancing at Bondre."You just lost your undefeated streak, yet you're surprisingly calm."

Bondre exhaled slowly.

"It was my mistake. If I hadn't focused on chanting a large spell and relied on others to protect me… I should have restrained him first," he said coldly."I lost because I trusted others to save me."

Bubat and Asuka frowned.

"Are you saying it was our mistake?" they asked.

"As I said," Bondre replied without turning back,"It was my mistake to rely on others."

With that, he left.

Zibal looked around at the dispersing group and clenched his fist.

I planned to unite them under me with a clear goal of continent domination…But that masked player shattered everything.

His eyes hardened.

Then I'll acquire a hidden class too. We'll see who stands above the other.

Zibal opened the hidden-class quest window glowing on his interface.

[ Hidden Class Quest: Debiron Envoy ]

A unique combat class tied to Debiron, God of Hunting.

A god-related class… Zibal thought, confidence slowly returning.

It was a class quest Zibal had obtained after hunting multiple raid bosses. Now, all he had to do was hunt more powerful prey to complete the class change.

Alan, on the other hand, was immediately bombarded the moment he stepped out of the arena.

Players rushed toward him from all sides, voices overlapping as they tried to get closer. Reporters pushed through the crowd, drones hovering above, recording every movement.

The arena was one of the main PvP hubs in Satisfy. Fights that happened here were often broadcast live—and Alan's battle against multiple top-ranked players had been streamed across the continent.

He had become a celebrity overnight.

"Who are you really?"

"Is that a hidden Epic class?"

"How did you defeat Zibal and the others so easily?"

"Why haven't you registered on the Unified Rankings?"

"What's the name of your class?"

"Are you affiliated with any guild?"

Questions came like a storm.

Alan stopped walking.

For a brief moment, the crowd fell silent as everyone leaned in.

He knew he couldn't hide anymore. Running would only make things worse.

So he spoke—calm, clear, and brief.

"White Lion."

That was all he said.

The name echoed through the crowd.

"White Lion?"

"Is that his ID?"

"Or a title?"

"Wait—White Lion… wasn't that the spectral lion skill?"

Alan didn't explain.

As for the ranking registration question, he added only one more sentence:

"I don't register because rankings attract attention."

"You mean you want to remain anonymous?" one reporter asked, disbelief clear in their voice.

They couldn't understand it. Top rankers earned millions just by showing their faces. And yet here was a player of his caliber, hiding his identity as if fame meant nothing to him.

"Can you at least tell us which country you're from?" another reporter asked.

"Brazil," Alan replied.

The moment he said that, he logged out, cutting off the connection before they could bombard him with more questions.

When he opened his eyes again, he was back in his room.

Alan stretched and took a long drink of water.

"I forgot about the reporter mobs," he muttered, rubbing his forehead.

Turning on his terminal, he began browsing the forums, searching for information on Great Demons.

Meanwhile, countless new posts were flooding the boards—threads speculating about him, analyzing his skills, and arguing over his class.

A new dark horse had appeared.

A sudden storm that had descended upon the arena…

and effortlessly crushed the top rankers.

And no one knew where he came from—or how deep his strength truly went.
