Chapter 12 - Meeting Fels

Chapter 11 - Meeting Fels

Ryuu demanded, "Who are you?"

The man in black robes said in a low voice, "There's no need to investigate my identity. The Juggernaut must not be revealed to anyone. If you keep your promise, we'll let you go; otherwise, everyone who knows will die!"

Ryuu's eyes widened. Juggernaut!

The man in black robes asked, "Do you understand?"

Ryuu frowned, her eyebrows knitting together. This didn't seem like the style of Evilus. Was this someone from the Guild?

"Cough! Cough!"

Lain coughed twice, interrupting the man in black. He couldn't stand it anymore; this old bastard was quite the actor.

The visitor was none other than the Sage, Fels.

Lain chuckled, "Wait, are you threatening us? Or are you asking us to keep this a secret?"

Fels remained silent. He wanted to be assertive, but it was clear the other party wouldn't accept it.

Seeing Fels remain silent, Lain smiled.

As the administrators of Orario, the Guild possessed numerous privileges, which attracted attention. In order to avoid arousing the suspicion of other forces and Familias, it voluntarily relinquished its military power.

Guild employees had no Falna; Fels was the only adventurer of the great god Ouranos.

Out of respect for the Sage's prowess and Level 4 strength, Lain held him in high regard, but the other party was not qualified to threaten them!

Although he had lived for eight hundred years, Fels's status was fixed at Level 4. In a real fight, it was still uncertain whether he could defeat Ryuu, who had been fighting on the front lines for many years.

"Who are you...?"

Fels finally noticed the boy behind the elven girl, who was nothing like any of the high class adventurers he remembered. What was going on?

"My identity is not important. I'll ask you one more time: are you threatening us or begging us?" Lain seemed to have the other party's lifeline in his grasp.

The Guild wanted to conceal the existence of the Juggernaut.

The conditions for the appearance of Juggernaut were not complicated; just throw a few hundred Inferno Stones into the deep floors, and that's it.

With a weapon in hand, the desire to kill arises spontaneously!

If other adventurers knew this information, they would definitely try to use it to kill their enemies. It wasn't hard to imagine how chaotic the Dungeon would become in the future.

The Guild must keep the news under wraps.

Even if Ouranos chose to take the risk and use the Guild's connections to get other high ranking adventurers to come and control them, Lain and Ryuu could shout in the street, and the information about the Juggernaut would quickly spread throughout Orario.

They held the initiative in this matter!

After a brief standoff, Fels finally gave in and said helplessly, "It is a request."

Lain grinned smugly. "You're a member of the Guild. Even if it's a request, it's not unreasonable for us to make a small demand in exchange, is it?"

"What do you want?" Fels was stunned.

This was completely unexpected. Ryuu had suddenly gone toward the Guild, and they were afraid that she was going there to reveal juggernaut's existence to the public, so they rushed over to stop her. They didn't expect it to be so complicated.

Watching the boy gradually corner the mysterious man and turn the tables, the Ryuu gained a whole new appreciation for Lain's quick wit.

Lain gestured with his index finger and thumb and laughed, "The Guild will turn a blind eye to our next move and then give us a little bit of convenience."

"A little bit of convenience?"

Faced with Lain's proposed deal, Fels wasn't foolish enough to agree blindly. After a brief exchange, he realized that this young man was not easy to deal with. He wasn't afraid of powerful adventurers, but rather of adventurers with intellect.

'Ouranos...'

Fels took out a crystal ball, and silently called out. The great god on the other side heard their entire conversation.

Lain was envious, it was good stuff.

Fels possessed the Mystery Development Ability and was likely the most powerful Magic Item creator in the world. He once stepped into the domain of arcanum and created the Philosopher's Stone, which granted immortality.

That crystal ball was also a Magic Item belonging to him.

This Magic Item allowed light and sound captured by one crystal ball to be reflected in another crystal. This item could transmit messages even between distant places, making it the only long distance communication tool in this world.

"Agreed."

A moment later, a steady and firm voice came from the crystal ball. Lain and Ryuu were shocked. It was Ouranos, the great god who created the Guild!

Although the two had never met Ouranos, the voice gave them that distinct feeling, an impression stronger and more majestic than that of ordinary gods.

"The deal is done. As long as you don't expose Juggernaut's information, you can do whatever you want." Fels's figure gradually disappeared into the darkness.

" This guy..."
