Frank was shocked that, that was the end of the notification, he was expecting the level up of one of his skills or a box appearing out of thin air to give him cool gadgets or better still a pair of gold coins he could use to get something in this new world he found himself.
He didn't even question how he leveled up.
After thinking some more, hoping he could activate his meditation skill again, without any luck doing that, he looked around his surroundings and found out it was bright like morning and looked into the sky expecting to see some birds or airplanes but the sight he saw was frightening.
When he approached the window he saw a clear blue sky but after a few minutes of looking around the sky he saw a string of purple becoming larger until it became a purple cloud and was swallowing up the blue sky turning the whole sky light purple.
Frank hurriedly looked away from the window and exclaimed:
"This place is too weird!"
As if on cue, a skeleton unlocked his room and spoke in system language
[Come outside.]
Frank obeyed and was about to ask for a pair of clothes but thought better of it and walked outside naked.
While outside, Frank spotted a few skeletons glaring at him and others not even looking at him and drifting around him like he wasn't there.
While looking around, Frank spotted a gloomy looking skeleton that looked as if, if the wind blew too strong it will scatter and crumble.
Frank decided to walk to the skeleton and say Hello, but before he even approached the frail looking skeleton, a pair of skeletons approached the frail looking skeleton, a few skeletons with bits of cloth armor approached the skeleton and started mocking it saying:
[Citizens of Darkovia, I present to you the almighty Weakest Soul Being in all of New Darkovia and all of the Land Of Souls]
[Please clap for him, It wasn't easy for him to acquire that title]
A few skeletons clapped while others laughed mockingly.
Frank was about one meter(1m) behind the Weakest Soul Being before he stopped abruptly and decided to stay quietly in place.
The skeletons abused and mocked the Weakest Soul Being for a while before stopping for the main event to start.
The main event finally started, a soul being that looked a lot like Maru without the sleepy eyes was the speaker.
The speaker looked around at everyone before stopping and focusing his arrogant gaze at Frank and then started speaking softly, despite his soft voice it was heard all around the hall.
[Citizens of Darkovia, I present to you the start of the glorious "Talent Bout" where the servants of the esteemed apprentice vampires will showcase their skills and will be graded based on their performance, on that note let the Talent Bout begin!]
Immediately the words, "Let the Talent Bout begin!" was said, Frank had a stiff expression on his face but things only got worse for Frank from here on out.
The Rules and Regulations of the Talent Bout was displayed on the side of the wall where every soul being could see it.
[Rules and Regulations
1. Prove your Talent by fighting to the death.
2. If you are afraid of death you can wave the white flag provided in the arena.
Please note: The white flag can only be used two times in a duel. The waving of the white flag will declare the end of the duel and will declare the person who waved the flag the loser.
3. You can decide if you want to battle an opponent a total of two times.
4. All participants are to battle 5 Opponents each.
5. You are divided into groups and cannot fight group members.
6. The team with the highest number of victories will be given a suitable price.
7. No other price will be given to any other team other than the first team to achieve the highest number of victories.]
Frank had a somewhat mild expression on his face while he read the rules and regulations. He was planning to survive two battles and somehow kill the other guy in the last duel.
A few skeletons had the same fears as Frank.
Frank approached a glowing sign board that signified "Maru's Servants".
There he met four other skeletons looking gloomily and he spotted the Weakest Soul Being was in his group.
Frank almost cursed his luck since the Weakest Soul Being was in his group. His group members noticed his fears and started talking with him.
[Berry always finds a way to win at least one fight so don't be afraid]
[Berry may look weak but he isn't a pushover]
[Just try your best and we will take down the rest]
Frank was almost relieved by the words he heard from the three skeletons, he finally mustered the courage to talk to the Weakest Soul Being called Berry but immediately Frank got next to Berry, Berry started engaging in his first duel.
Initially Frank thought Berry would forfeit the duel but to his amazement Berry was fighting.
Berry started his battle with a skeleton wearing a glove and a boot, although Berry didn't approach him the skeleton hurried to approach the white flag and forfeit.
Frank was amazed with what he saw but his face soon changed since it was his turn. Frank saw that the skeleton he was about to face was just like Berry's so he didn't think much of it and accepted the duel.
The duel started and Frank was immediately punched losing 20 of his life. He was immediately bewildered and started rushing to obtain the white flag. He lost 10 more life before he got the white flag and began waving it.
Frank hurriedly got down from the arena to confront Berry and ask him what he did that made the skeleton hurriedly take the white flag to end the duel and Berry replied jokingly.
[That is just my talent.]
Frank looked at himself frantically and asked:
"Does that mean I have no talent"
