Ronin pushed past the police line. He walked toward the body, one leaden step at a time.
Officers tried to intercept him, but before they could even get close, they recoiled in sheer terror.
A suffocating wave of killing intent erupted from Ronin, his Nen expanding outward in a tide of unadulterated malice. It was a projection of pure, raw hatred.
Though he had only known Kurapika for a few months, he had truly come to see the boy as his little brother. He had felt Kurapika's growing dependence on him and watched as the boy tailored his entire Nen development to support Ronin's goals.
Kurapika had given everything. He had seen Ronin as his last clansman, his last partner, and his last family.

Inside the protective cage of the Susanoo, Ronin stared up at the energy sphere. His eyes burned with a dark light, and suddenly, Black Flames erupted across the surface of the "Jupiter"!

Suddenly, three massive Fire Dragons roared out from the 15th-floor windows of the hotel, lunging toward Bonolenov from above.
It was Ronin's Shadow Clone, which had infiltrated the building earlier.
But as the dragons closed in, a rain of heavy furniture—desks and tables—was hurled from the 18th-floor windows, smashing into the fire dragons to disrupt their trajectory.
Simultaneously, a hail of Nen bullets rained down from the sky as a hulking figure appeared on a balcony.
On the 18th floor stood Kortopi, Chrollo, and Pakunoda.
Below them, on the street level, Franklin and Isley emerged from the shadows.

The Dojutsu flared again. Black fire manifested exactly where Bonolenov was about to land.
Bonolenov, his body whistling as he moved, manifested his Conjured Battle Armor and gripped a double-headed spear. He threw the spear into the ground and balanced on its tip to avoid the growing sea of black fire below.
But a spark caught the hem of his cloak.
The Amaterasu spread instantly. In a heartbeat, it threatened to consume his entire body.
Feel the power of the heavens, you scum!
Ronin looked away from the burning Spider, his eyes scanning the melting facade of the 15th floor where the bomb had hit. He realized Chrollo was combining Conjuration with high-intensity Transmuted heat.
Ronin's hands blurred into a complex series of seals.

Chakra surged into his lungs and throat. He leaned back and exhaled a literal ocean of water. In an instant, a massive tidal wave erupted, encasing the Adan Hotel and the surrounding blocks in a gargantuan sphere of water.
