The bonfire was exactly as advertised massive flames in the center of the meadow, pack members scattered in groups, music playing from speakers someone had rigged up. The atmosphere was relaxed, celebratory, nothing like the formal dinners.
Kendrick met her at the manor's entrance, and they walked to the meadow together. Pack members called out greetings to both of them, she noticed. Not just acknowledging their Alpha, but welcoming their Luna.
Zara materialized immediately, pulling Ashina into the group she and Ryker had claimed near the fire. "Finally! I was worried you'd chicken out."
"I don't chicken out."
"Good, because tonight is about having fun. Remember fun?" Zara pressed a drink into her hand something fruity and definitely alcoholic. "Drink. Relax. Pretend you're a normal person at a normal party."
