"WTF happened earlier in the court? That was so sudden," Alex broke the silence.
Rhea, Alex, and Kai were sitting inside Rhea's castle.
"Are you involved in this?" Rhea asked Kai sharply.
"Ohh? And why do you think that?" Kai replied with a smile on his face. "I don't seem to have any connection with it."
"When Aanya accused you, she looked pretty confident," Rhea said angrily. "There was clarity in her eyes. And the moment after that, her face went completely blank — like she already knew she was defeated."
"But Aanya is stupid," Alex interrupted. "Just because she blamed you doesn't mean you're involved. Why are you suspecting Kai?"
"But she's not completely wrong," Kai said, a long-ass smile spreading across his face. "I am a little bit involved."
Rhea's eyes narrowed.
"So where should I begin?" Kai continued. "I was the supplier who provided the extra wine to the merchant. And yeah, as you might've guessed, I'm also the one who stole the wine from the Warriors' bar inventory."
Both Alex and Rhea went silent.
"When the Sanctifiers were planning to upgrade their church, I knew they'd need wine," Kai said calmly. "So I picked a little from their inventory. After a few days, they announced their wine deal, and that's when I finally got my chance. They were missing exactly 500 liters."
He leaned back.
"I used some of my contacts in the Warriors guild, stole the wine, and replaced it with my illusions. Warriors have a massive stock and are lazy as fuck — they never check their inventory properly. I figured I'd give it a try, and yeah… it worked. They didn't notice the illusion."
Kai chuckled.
"Almost ten days later, the Sanctifiers finally performed the offering. The day before that, I removed my illusions. And then — chaos. The Warriors realized their main healing 'wine' was gone, right before the World Guild War."
Alex cursed under his breath.
"Of course they lost their minds," Kai continued. "They sent spies everywhere. And as expected, they saw the Sanctifiers' wine pool was way bigger than 2000 liters. So they assumed the Sanctifiers stole wine from everyone. Dumb as hell — but what do you expect from Warriors?"
He shrugged.
"They informed their guild master. And after that… well, you already know."
Kai finished with the evilest smile possible.
"But this still doesn't make sense," Rhea said. "If Aanya had given access to the logs, you would've been doomed. And why did she even admit to making a ninth deal?"
"Yeah," Kai nodded. "I was a little confused when she admitted it too. But it's pretty straightforward. She figured out I was the supplier. She realized I was behind everything."
He smirked.
"In her excitement to fuck me over, she admitted the ninth deal. But she's not that dumb. The moment she said it, she realized what she'd done. There were no official logs for that deal."
"So the next step would be merchant transaction access," Alex said slowly.
"Exactly," Kai replied. "Which she can't give."
"But why?" Alex asked. "If she had given access, you wouldn't even be here right now."
"It's not like giving access to one file," Kai said. "Merchant transaction logs are entire folders. Once you give access, they can see everything — every deal made with any guild member."
Rhea froze.
"…Don't tell me."
"She can't show her transactions with the slave merchant," Kai said calmly.
"WTF are you saying?" Rhea snapped. "She buys slaves? Omgg. But wait — their guild worships gods. They don't even officially have slave merchants. She can't be doing something that cruel."
"They don't officially," Kai replied. "But she and a few of her close ones use one quietly."
Alex stared at him.
"But how the fuck do you know all this?"
Kai grinned.
"I'm Kai," he said. "Supplier of all things — living or non-living."
"But why did you do all this?" Rhea asked. "I don't see any reason."
"There are two reasons," Kai replied. "First, we don't need a reason to hate the Sanctifiers. Watching their destruction was fucking delicious."
He paused.
"And second — I wanted chaos. And honestly? It turned out even better than I expected."
Rhea exhaled sharply.
"You're the most evil person I know, Kai. Omgg… But you went too far this time. If you'd been caught, you'd be in jail. And worse — it could've damaged our guild's reputation."
"Ohh?" Kai scoffed. "So after everything I did to our enemies, this is my reward? You'd worry about our reputation?"
He stood up.
"So what now? You gonna kick me out of the guild or something?"
Kai started walking away.
Rhea quickly stopped him and hugged him.
"That's not what I meant," she said softly. "You get angry soo fast. Don't be like that."
Kai went quiet.
"Alright," Rhea said after a moment. "I'm logging off. At least I finally get some sleep — the court session didn't take that long. I'll see you guys at the Island opening."
She logged out.
Alex followed soon after, too exhausted to say anything else.
