The moment Kai arrived, he knew something was wrong.
The entire place was in chaos.
A full-scale war had broken out between the Warriors Guild and the Sanctifiers. Spells were flying, abilities flashing everywhere, and players were clashing without restraint. The Archives Guild—his own guild—was trying desperately to contain the situation, but it was already spiraling out of control.
Then, without warning, someone attacked him.
Kai froze for a split second—then reacted.
He activated his illusion skill, dodging attacks effortlessly. A heavy blow from a Metal Warden slammed into him, stunning him briefly. Before he could recover, three players rushed toward him at once.
Still, he didn't panic.
He activated his heavy ability.
Multiple identical copies of himself appeared, each moving independently. He switched positions between them instantly, attacking from different angles. Confusion erupted among his enemies.
Within seconds, they were down.
Without looking back, Kai vanished from the battlefield and made his way toward the main castle.
Inside, he spotted Alex walking toward him.
"Hey," Kai said, "what's going on? Why are the Warriors and Sanctifiers fighting?"
"I'm not completely sure," Alex replied. "But I heard someone destroyed the Sanctifiers' main church. They're blaming the Warriors for it."
"But this feels excessive," Kai said, glancing out the window. "This is turning into a full war."
"You're smart, but sometimes you talk like an idiot," Alex replied. "That church wasn't just any building. It was their main one. Level 50. It gave them a twenty percent magic boost and tons of positional advantages. Not to mention, it held their largest library. Losing it is a massive blow."
"But why would the Warriors do that?" Kai asked. "They barely even use magic. And they don't care about churches. Unless someone hired them… but who would?"
Alex smirked. "Oh. Look who's here. The Guild Master of the Sanctifiers."
Kai turned. "Damn… she's hot."
