Chapter 69 - Chapter 69 – Balancing Hearts and Ambitions

The class went on as usual, but Lana was still visibly upset. During a short break, PK quietly texted the twins:

"Evening—Luna, you drive. I'll sit in the back with Lana."

The reply came quickly.

"Sure."

When Lana read it, a soft, satisfied smile appeared on her face.

Meanwhile, PK sent a message to Dustin:

"Square City—get me full details. Total cost, total square footage, number of buildings, current monthly income. I want everything by evening."

The reply was immediate.

"Okay, boss."

PK nodded to himself, pleased.

As the lecture continued, his mind drifted elsewhere. Stocks, investments, HR, experienced professionals—he needed a solid team. Almost instinctively, he thought of Eve. She would know how to handle this, he reflected.

He then called his rental house owner.

"I'd like to purchase this house," PK said calmly.

The rental agency shared the details, and PK replied without hesitation,

"We'll complete the purchase formalities this weekend."

With that settled, he put his phone aside.

Exams were announced for May, but PK and the twins barely reacted. They were confident—almost indifferent—about topping them as usual.

Lana, however, was focused only on the evening.

Finally, classes ended.

As planned, they walked to the car. Luna took the driver's seat, and PK settled into the back. Lana joined him, her earlier anger gone. As the car moved, she leaned closer, resting against him, her fingers lightly holding his sleeve.

PK smiled gently and whispered,

"Feeling better?"

Lana nodded, her cheeks faintly pink. She leaned in, and they shared a soft, lingering kiss—full of reassurance rather than urgency. The rest of the ride passed in quiet closeness, unspoken feelings settling between them.

From the driver's seat, Luna glanced into the mirror, smiling faintly.

The evening air felt calmer—yet charged with what was yet to come.
