Chapter 76: With King Here, Nothing is a Problem

Genos stepped forward with a serious expression. His short golden hair fluttered in the wind as his mechanical eyes flashed with a brilliant, cold light.

He turned to the old man and asked with a hint of confusion:

"Silver Fang, why don't you choose to flee? With your strength, escaping City Z before the meteor impacts should be an easy task."

Hearing this, Bang looked up at the sky. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, and he shook his head helplessly.

"Why would this old man leave? The Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist Dojo, into which I poured half my life's blood, is still here. My life has taken root here. Why should I leave?"

"Besides..." Bang paused, his gaze landing on King beside him, his tone filled with certainty.

"With the Strongest Man on Earth standing guard here, there is absolutely no need for fear."

In Bang's view, even if the meteor above was terrifying, compared to King's legendary feats, it was nothing. Which of King's achievements wasn't more unbelievable than stopping a meteor?

Hearing Bang's words, Genos nodded firmly.

"As expected of Silver Fang. You hit the nail on the head. With King-sensei here, a mere meteor is indeed not worth mentioning."

Thinking this, Genos took out a black briefcase and turned to ask for King's instructions:

"King-sensei, if I may... could you let me try to stop the meteor?"

In Genos's mind, if King-sensei made a move, the seemingly menacing meteor would disappear instantly.

But before that, he wanted to try.

During his battle with Deep Sea King, Genos had felt what true "micro-control" meant. Since then, he had gained some insights.

And inside this briefcase were the latest modification parts, though they came with significant usage restrictions.

Facing Genos's request, King nodded.

"If you want to do it, go ahead."

"Thank you, King-sensei!"

Receiving permission, Genos didn't hesitate. He immediately opened the black briefcase. Inside were two additional arm components designed to drastically increase firepower.

However, the drawback was severe: after firing at full power with these parts, Genos's systems would overload, rendering him completely combat-ineffective.

With the clanging sound of metal locking into place, the two mechanical components attached to Genos's arms, giving him a formidable, heavy-weapon appearance.

Seeing Genos eager to try, Saitama, who was just about to jump up and punch the meteor, slowly lowered his fist.

Someone else wants to show off. I shouldn't ruin their fun.

A breeze swirled beneath his feet. Genos's arms transformed rapidly, integrating with the mechanical parts to become a complex, precision cannon array.

Bang sensed the massive energy gathering within the cannon and couldn't help but widen his eyes, surprised.

Such powerful firepower...

Genos raised his head, his mechanical eyes burning with fighting spirit. Tiny arcs of blue electricity began to flicker around his arm-cannons.

"Overclocked Incineration Cannon!!"

A beam of light carrying destructive power shot straight into the sky. The crimson brilliance dyed the horizon a deep yellow.

The massive energy beam, wreathed in countless electric arcs, seemed to transform into a roaring dragon ascending to the heavens, charging straight at the descending meteor.

In the next second, the meteor collided head-on with the Overclocked Incineration Cannon. Invisible shockwaves swept in all directions, and the violent energy fluctuations turned into a blinding white light, forcing the people below to squint.

"RAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!"

Genos roared. The core in his chest burst with dazzling blue light, continuously supplying even more massive amounts of energy to the cannon.

Under this desperate release of energy, the meteor's descent actually slowed down slightly, gradually entering a state of stagnation.

Seeing this, the corner of Genos's mouth curled up. He pushed his core even harder, intending to blast the meteor back into outer space completely.

But in the next second, disaster struck.

Thick smoke billowed out. Genos's cannon array shattered with a crisp crack. His mechanical body fell weakly to one knee, blue electric arcs flickering across his frame. He had reached his limit.

Still not enough...? My body can no longer be controlled...

Having lost the resistance, the meteor continued to fall.

Seeing that even the heaven-piercing beam of red light couldn't stop the meteor, the people below revealed expressions of despair.

Is City Z truly doomed to destruction today?

"Wait! Look! Who are those people on the rooftop?!"

A voice cut through the noisy crowd. Everyone looked toward the rooftop the man was pointing at.

"Oh my god! It's the Strongest Man on Earth, King (S-Class Rank 7)! And Caped Baldy (S-Class Rank 14)! And Silver Fang (S-Class Rank 3)! Three S-Class heroes are here!"

"Yes! We're saved! With Lord King here, the meteor disaster is over!"

Seeing King's face, the despairing crowd wept tears of joy, sharing their relief of surviving a catastrophe with their families.

Although the meteor still hung overhead, everyone knew that the moment the Strongest Man on Earth arrived on the scene, the meteor was no longer a problem.

On the rooftop, King had already thought of a solution, but he wanted to test other possibilities.

"Saitama, go try and see if you can push the meteor back into outer space."

"Huh?"

Saitama looked confused. He raised his fist, clad in the cheap-looking red rubber glove.

"Can't I just punch it? It doesn't look that hard."

King felt helpless. Just like in the original story, Saitama hadn't considered the massive collateral damage caused by shattering the meteor.

In the original, although Saitama's punch saved City Z from total annihilation, the raining meteor fragments still destroyed huge portions of the city.

"Punching it will solve the immediate problem, but the aftermath will be severe. Listen to me. Go try and carry it away first."

"Alright."

Saitama agreed. He swung his arms, crouching down. The concrete beneath his feet caved in, and with a massive leap, he shot up like a rocket.

But this time, instead of punching the meteor into pieces like in the original, the Caped Baldy reached out with both hands.
