Chapter 77: Falling Apart
Amidst the despair of impending doom, people saw a yellow blur shoot into the sky and block the path of the falling meteor.

Saitama, who was just about to catch the meteor, broke character instantly. Veins popped out on his smooth head.

A solidified shockwave and dazzling golden light pierced through the entire meteor, shooting into deep space and vanishing into the silent void.
Under this force, dense cracks spread across the meteor's surface. Then, it exploded, scattering countless fragments into the air.
With a thought from King, the power of the [Imperial Fist] erupted on every single fragment. Golden light flashed, splitting the rocks into even smaller pieces.
He raised his hand again. [Energy Mastery] activated. Golden dots of light appeared in the void, followed by countless energy threads connecting thousands of dots, forming a massive energy net covering all of City Z.
The larger fragments were disintegrated the moment they touched the energy net, turning into dust. Only the smaller pebbles could pass through the gaps, continuing to fall with trails of fire.
"Wow, that move is seriously cool."
Watching King summon such a magnificent energy net with a wave of his hand, envy flashed in Saitama's eyes.
He looked at his own fist, clad in the cheap red rubber glove, and sighed helplessly.
Why do I only know how to punch? Can't I learn some cool energy beam moves or something?
Despite the reduction from the energy net, thousands of small rocks still rained down on City Z. Although their size and number had been greatly reduced, they would still cause some damage to the city.
But in the very next instant, the psychokinesis that had been ineffective against the whole meteor activated again, instantly covering the entire city.

Originally, hearing the crowd's praise, Saitama had a smile on his face. But upon hearing that last sentence, his smile flipped back down.
You damn civilians! Praise me if you want, but why do you have to bring my bald head into it?!
