Chapter 71 - Chapter 71: One sentence that made a man spend 5,000 J on me.

"Gray! Don't fight me over this rain person!"

"It should be you, you flaming idiot, who shouldn't be fighting me!"

"Everyone agreed it's first-come, first-served!"

"So the one who came first is obviously me!"

"I've already let Elfman go! This time don't think I'll let the enemy out again!"

"Heh! Want to fight?"

"I'm scared of you! Die, you droopy‑eyed bastard!"

...

While Mira‑Jean and Elfman were deep in their sibling bond, on the other side Nazz and Gray were at each other's throats. If it weren't for Habi and Kana pulling them back, the two would probably have started a battlefield PK.

The cause of their conflict was the scramble to claim the enemy's Ghost Four Element of Water, the "Rain Maiden" Julia.

There's no choice; under the Ghost Guildmaster there are only five high‑level combatants.

The ace, Gajiru, was sent off the day before.

Now one of the Ghost Four Elements, Sol, has already been defeated by Elfman. If the remaining three don't fight for it, they'll only get credit for grinding minions, and how will they brag to the guild when they return?

Seeing the stubborn ice‑and‑fire duo, Kana's head was spinning; those two argue without caring about appearances. So she said, "You keep fighting."

Kana changed her mind, let go of Gray, and turned to Julia, who had been watching the scene for a while, and said, "The Ghost Four Element of Water, huh? Let me defeat you!"

She pulled a magic card from her belt's card case, but just as Kana raised her hand, two hands suddenly snatched it from both sides.

Gray glared at her, "Damned Kana, I knew you were meddling with ulterior motives!"

Nazz nodded in agreement, "You tried to slip in and take out the enemy while we were fighting. Kana, that's so despicable!"

Kana couldn't help but laugh at the two idiots' twisted logic: you argue for ages without touching Julia, yet you won't let anyone else do it?

Thus, the little quarrel that was just between two people escalated to three, all fighting for the right to battle Julia.

Julia blushed at the scene, "For Julia's sake, you guys can go this far. Julia feels so happy~"

Habi, whose brain was clearly malfunctioning and still trying to mediate, saw Julia's flushed face and thought his little kitten self was too normal, feeling out of place among the four.

"That's enough!"

Elusa, who had just cut from the left side of the hall to the right, saw the three arguing over a trivial matter and, furious, delivered a flying kick that sent them sprawling. "This is a guild war, not kids fighting over toys. You can't decide who fights the Rain Maiden; let her choose herself."

"Huh! Let... let Julia choose?!"

Nazz, Gray, and Kana hadn't spoken yet, but the enemy Julia wore a shy, embarrassed expression, lowered her head, and fidgeted with her fingers, looking conflicted.

"Why are you blushing!!"

Elusa, Nazz, Gray, Kana, and Habi all chanted their complaints in unison.

Nevertheless, Nazz and the others accepted Elusa's suggestion; they couldn't reach a decision, so they handed the choice over to the enemy.

Seeing the opposite side treat it so casually, Julia was surprised at first, then quickly got into character, pointing her finger at Nazz first.

"The kid with pink hair is all fluffy and messy, which doesn't match Julia's blue outfit, so I'll pass."

Nazz: What a weird reason!

Then Julia pointed at Kana, "I don't mind fighting a girl, but my preference leans a bit towards guys."

Kana stared blankly: What is this guy even saying!

Finally, Julia looked at Gray; the pink on his cheeks returned, and even her voice turned coquettish, "Um, handsome, if you don't mind, please team up with Julia."

Elusa, Kana, Nazz: ...Are they accidentally on a dating show set?

Gray, completely clueless about the enemy and his allies' thoughts, smirked when Julia chose him, glancing triumphantly at Nazz and Kana.

But after Julia's pick, Nazz and Kana felt no regret or jealousy; they realized that the so‑called "Rain Maiden" was probably interested in Gray.

Unfortunately, she and Gray are still enemies.

So you two lovebirds, clueless about your fate, get out and go eat a big portion!

Nazz and Kana, in sync, each kicked Gray out of the wall that Sol had collapsed, sending him flying, and Julia hurriedly chased after him.

The remaining three and the cat breathed a sigh of relief.

Elusa then said, "I'm going to deal with that guy named Aria; you all stop standing around and do what you need to."

With that, she headed straight to the second floor.

According to the intel Gajiru gave last night, Aria, the head of the Four Elements, is not weaker than Gajiru; she's the Guildmaster's most trusted.

More importantly, Aria possesses a technique that can forcibly drain magic from a mage's body, a killing move Joseph prepared especially for ambushing Makalov.

In the clash between the two "Holy Ten" guildmasters, Elusa can't intervene directly, but she can still eliminate external threats to Makalov.

With Elusa targeting the Four Elemental Aura: Aria, the Ghosts now have only one senior member left: the Four Elemental Fire: Bunny Bun.

Nazz and Kana exchanged glances, each seeing the other's resolve to claim the Ghost's last high‑tier combatant.

Kana's eyes flickered, and she suddenly said, "Nazz, 5,000 J, buy me a good bottle of wine, and I'll give you the Bunny Bun."

Hearing that he could get Kana to give up for just 5,000 coins, Nazz beamed and readily agreed, "Thanks, Kana."

He even thanked us.

Kana watched Nazz head off to find Bunny Bun and couldn't help laughing; she had already spotted Bunny Bun before coming, and unsurprisingly he was probably being hung up by Hop and being beaten.

One sentence made Nazz spend 5,000 J for me.

This round of a free lunch gave Kana a perfect score.

Feeling delighted, Kana returned to the Ghost Hall, swept up the fodder monsters with her companions, and from a minion extracted the location of the Ghost's wine cellar, rumored to hold premium wines even Joseph wouldn't touch.

Whether others won or not is unknown, but Kana knows she totally won today.
