Chapter 18 - Chapter 17

Valen stood abruptly causing her to stumble a bit, Georgia quickly got to her before she collapsed, helping her to her feet.

King Kaelvryn folded his hands subconsciously, his eyes darting at the sight, Valen and Georgia both bowed, turning to leave.

"Stop..."

Valen turned slightly, Lord Damien walked up to them, "why would a mere bodyguard like you leave without the King's permission?"

Georgia was about to speak but Valen stopped her, she turned and faced Lord Damien, "Lord Damien, as you can see, I am still recovering from yesterday and the king was so grateful by granting me a day off today."

"You..."

"Lord Damien, do you know question my authority?" Kaelvryn said calmly but his tone wasn't quite calm.

Lord Damien turned with no expression on his face, "Your Majesty, I dare not but him leaving without addressing those rumors isn't right."

"You may leave, Valen..." King Kaelvryn said.

Lord Damien placed his staff in front of Valen restricting her movements before Valen could say anything, the staff suddenly broke into pieces, Georgia yelped and held onto Valen's sleeve.

"Don't test my patience...Lord Damien," King Kaelvryn voice was low and calm but his eyes read something entirely.

Valen bowed taking Georgia alongside her, Lord Damien stood still staring deep into King Kaelvryn's eyes.

"It seems you're forgetting your place, Lord Damien..." he said calmly relaxing into his seat.

"Your Majesty, you take these things so lightly," Lord Damien replied.

"Leave us..." King Kaelvryn said.

"Your Majesty..." Lord Valor spoke out.

"Do not let me repeat myself," he turned his neck slightly, voice low and filled with rage.

Lord Valor and Lord Andros bowed and quietly marched out from the throne room, the doors closing shut behind them.

In a blink of an eye, King Kaelvryn was standing

in front of Lord Damien, his face twitched but he said nothing.

Kaelvryn brought out a small knife from his robe and placed it on his neck, "it wouldn't cost me a dime to take you out immediately."

Lord Damien gently moved the knife slightly with his finger and went back calmly, "I saw you ascend the throne with power and it seems it keeps eating you deep..."

Lord Damien choked on his words, his hands currently on his neck, while the knife was now pointing directly at his eye.

"You were saying something..." King Kaelvryn walked closer to him, placing his ear close to his mouth but muffled and choking sounds escaped his lips, "I can't seem to hear you."

The knife went closer to eye, so close it could

pierce through it in seconds and then it dropped on the floor and Lord Damien released himself from his grip.

He released a heavy gasp of relief, he darted a harsh gaze to the king, "this stare would certainly put you in trouble...Lord Damien."

"Kaelvryn..." he roared.

Kaelvryn punched him hard, blood gushed out from his mouth and nose, he gripped him by the jaw with a maniac smile on his face.

"That's King to you," he tapped his face slightly, "the next time you try to humiliate me again, you would wish you left my father on the throne and not me."

Kaelvryn flinged him to the ground and it felt Lord Damien weighed nothing less than a sheet of paper.

Kaelvryn left the throne room and Lord Damien folded his fists in anger muttering inaudible words under his breath.

King Kaelvryn walked to the Valen's chambers and the sight he met caused a surge of sudden anger soar through his veins.

It wasn't anything unusual but the sight of seeing someone else touching Valen made him go insane, and why was Georgia laughing, what could be so funny and why were they close.

What the hell was he thinking?

King Kaelvryn knocked on the door slightly, immediately Georgia rose to her feet and Valen quickly covered her injury.

"How is the wound now?"

"It is healing qu–"

"I didn't ask you," King Kaelvryn cut Georgia off immediately without bating her an eye.

"Your Majesty, the wound is healing fast with the right herbs and treatment, I'd be fully back on my feet by the end of the day."

Valen replied calmly, her face still looking pale and body barely managing to stand properly.

"Your Majesty, ple–"

"I told you not to speak," Kaelvryn roared angrily, the color of his eyes changing the moment his gaze met with Georgia's.

"Your Majesty, I think..." Valen coughed out blood and Georgia rushed to her, Kaelvryn stood stunned, his hand reaching out mid air but quietly retreating it.

"I thought you said he's okay, what is all this?" Kaelvryn yelled.

"Your Majesty, please..." Georgia said calmly, carefully picking out her words, "he started running a fever today and I just noticed it, I'm sorry but your presence will only make it worse."

Georgia bit her lips, scared of the income but Valen held her hands, King Kaelvryn caught it and something within him broke.

Valen faced him, she let out a dry cough, "Your Majesty, please we would not want any more rumors spreading like before, let me heal and I promise to be back on my feet in no time."

King Kaelvryn didn't know what to say or do, he looked at them for a while, Georgia placing Valen carefully on the bed and quickly rushing to get herbs for her treatment.

He decided to leave quietly, he wasn't needed there, he placed his hand on his chest as he felt quite stuffed inside.

Was he angry that he was chased away or was he angry that Valen held Georgia's hand? Whichever one it was, he certainly did not buy this new feeling.

He returned back to his chambers, "get me a fine lady," he said to his guards the moment he reached his room.

He needed to blow off some steam, there was no way he was going crazy over a man. He removed his robes and only stayed in his silk trouser waiting for the lady he had requested.

He heard a soft knock on the door, "enter..." a young lady, with dark brown hair and golden brown eyes strutted into his room.

She wore a satin gown that brought out her curves but yet no reaction was given out by the king.

"Strip..." a single sentence came out from his mouth.

The lady smiled, seductively taking off the clothes off from her body, each move would make a normal man run mad but King Kaelvryn sat on his bed unmoved by her act.

"Come closer..." he directed his finger to the lady and walked closer to him, her hands softly placed on the bed as she went in closer.

Kaelvryn grabbed her face and smashed his lips on hers, his pace was too quick that she couldn't match with his but he enjoyed it or so he thought.

The dominance and the heat could overcome what he felt in his chest, he didn't want her, he wanted...Valen.

He shook those thoughts off his head and placed the lady forcefully on the bed, she was pleased by it, Kaelvryn roughly placed his lips on her neck biting and nibbling on her skin, moans escaped her lips but yet nothing from Kaelvryn.

He enjoyed rough handling women, he loved the sex, the joy it brings but nothing, he felt completely empty.

Kaelvryn slowly descended to the bed, face in his palms leaving the lady confused.

"Leave..." he said quietly.

"Your Majesty..." she gently placed her hands on him, "are you not sat–"

"I said leave..." he roared angrily and the lady quickly packed her things and left.

He let out a sigh, flopping on his bed, "what is wrong with me?"
