"Silvie is one of the sixth-tier mages in the convent. She usually handles the convent's emergency affairs," Ulysses explained to Ron. "She'll be leading the preparations for this upcoming ritual ceremony."
Ron was genuinely surprised—he hadn't expected the sister who looked relatively young to already be a sixth-tier mage.
Although Sister Silvie did appear more mature than the others, there was no way to tell her exact age.
At most, she looked around thirty?
Definitely younger than Professor Hicks from the Magic Academy.
"Thank you for your hard work on the ritual, Sister Silvie," Ron said politely.
"I'm simply doing my duty," Silvie replied softly, maintaining her calm smile.
After meeting Sister Silvie, Ron took a brief walk around the church, watching the preparations for the upcoming ritual.
The pews from the main sanctuary had been moved outside to the small plaza in front of the church, making the hall feel much more spacious.
The surrounding walls were now decorated with all sorts of flowers and greenery, bringing life to the hall.
Ron looked up and realized the setup was likely designed to recreate the scene of the divine miracle's descent.
At the center of the hall, a large altar was being constructed. Only the framework was complete so far—it was still unfinished.
Ron stepped closer to inspect it and noticed the use of many rare magical materials in its construction.
Around the central altar were several smaller "altars." Though altar in name, they were actually just miniature replicas of the central one, only large enough for a single person to stand on.
While Ron was observing the setup, Ulysses continued his conversation with Silvie.
"After this ceremony, you'll remain in Chaos City," he instructed.
Silvie's light green eyes blinked twice. Though clearly reluctant, she still maintained the poise expected of a sister and nodded gently. "Yes."
"Now that His Highness Ron has taken on the role of Divine Representative of the Goddess, he has the authority to oversee and command all convent affairs."
"Your stay in Chaos City serves two purposes: first, to ensure His Highness's safety; second, to act as a bridge between him and the convent."
"Any directive given by His Highness—so long as it does not compromise the fundamental interests of the Church—must be carried out without question."
Silvie lowered her head, listening intently. After a few seconds of silence, she softly responded, "...Understood."
Ulysses seemed to sense her hesitation and softened his tone. "The church saved you from human traffickers, and you've grown up under the protection of the Goddess."
"Now that His Highness is the Chosen One of the Goddess, he's like a child of the divine. You wouldn't want any harm to come to him, would you?"
Silvie's expression shifted slightly. After a brief moment, she nodded. "I understand, Archbishop."
Ulysses smiled in satisfaction and waved her off. "Go on then. Make sure there are no issues with the ritual."
"Yes."
Ulysses left the rear chamber and saw Ron standing near the doorway of the main sanctuary. He immediately walked over.
"Archbishop," Ron waved, "I have a favor to ask."
The Archbishop stepped up, somewhat surprised that Ron actually had a request. "What is it, Your Highness? Please speak freely."
"Mm..." Ron looked around at the layout near the entrance, then walked to the wide corridor at the door, gesturing as he spoke. "I'd like to set up a long table here and display some of the plants from my flower shop."
Ulysses followed him, a question mark practically visible above his head.
"Your Highness, what exactly are you trying to do?"
"Marketing," Ron replied matter-of-factly. "There'll be a lot of important people attending the ritual, right?"
"...That's true," Ulysses admitted, already feeling a headache coming on.
"If they arrive early and need to wait, that's the perfect time to showcase the shop's plants, don't you think?" Ron asked, shamelessly.
Ulysses was silent for a moment, then attempted to reason with him. "You'll need to be involved throughout the ceremony. You won't have time to market anything."
"Of course. The ceremony comes first, without a doubt." Ron nodded. "I'll have one of my staff do the promoting. As soon as the ritual starts, the display will stop."
Ulysses found himself in a dilemma.
While this wasn't a serious issue, the idea of setting up a plant display at the church entrance during a sacred ritual just felt... off.
Seeing the Archbishop's hesitation, Ron coughed lightly and shamelessly continued,
"These plants are blessings from the Goddess. The flower shop itself was opened at her divine instruction."
"My main purpose in Chaos City is to help the Goddess distribute as many of these plants as possible."
"So displaying them at the church entrance isn't for personal gain—I hope you understand, Archbishop."
Hearing this, Ulysses finally realized something: Ron must have received divine guidance even before becoming a Chosen One.
He'd suspected as much before—after all, the Goddess giving Ron miraculous plants like the Nether Orchid and Crimson-Gold Chrysanthemum was likely a strategy to gather more faith energy.
Now that Ron had pointed it out clearly, Ulysses didn't hesitate anymore. He nodded. "It was my oversight. You have my full support, Your Highness. I'll personally introduce the flower shop's plants to the visiting guests to ensure everything meets your expectations."
Ron blinked in surprise. He hadn't expected invoking the Goddess's name would trigger such a complete 180-degree turn from the Archbishop.
Before, he'd been worried about leaving all the promotion to Nora. After all, most of the guests would be powerful figures, and Nora's timid personality might not cut it.
But now? With the Archbishop himself taking the lead, Nora only needed to assist on the side.
And with someone of Ulysses's standing doing the talking, the promotional effect would be leagues better than what Ron had imagined. That meant his daily mission was practically guaranteed.
Ron smiled. "Then I'll leave it to you, Archbishop."
Ulysses waved it off. "Think nothing of it."
Then he called over a missionary and passed down Ron's request.
Ron let out a sigh of relief inwardly.
If this hadn't worked, he would've had to come up with another plan to complete the daily task.
Normally, he wouldn't even bother with system daily quests—since they usually didn't come with any rewards.
But this one was different.
The reward was a Puppet Tree seed and its cultivation method.
It was obviously another plant with a unique effect, just like the Chameleon Radish.
If possible, Ron definitely wanted to get his hands on it.
Now that everything was settled, it was time to head home.
