Chapter 106 - Chapter 106 - The Lovely Nuns

Ron had only just stepped out of the shop when the figure of Archbishop Ulysses suddenly appeared beside him.

"Your Highness Ron, where are you heading?" he asked.

"…" Ron sighed a little and replied, "Just going to take a look at the church."

"In that case, allow me to accompany you."

"Thank you, Archbishop."

And so the two walked side by side, making their way toward the church.

Lately, Archbishop Ulysses had been living near Ron's flower shop, keeping a close eye on his safety.

Although it felt a bit like being watched, Ron understood that the Archbishop meant well, so he didn't mind too much.

With a legendary-tier powerhouse acting as his personal bodyguard, how could he complain?

"Your Highness's flower shop is doing very well. Have you considered opening a branch in the Royal Capital?" the Archbishop asked casually as they walked.

Ron smiled in response. "I haven't thought about it for now. Maybe after some time, I'll consider it."

Ulysses gave a gentle smile. "I heard you recently acquired a plot of land on the outskirts and also bought a factory. Planning on starting a new business venture?"

"Oh, that." Ron's smile didn't fade. "Just tinkering with a few little inventions. Once I finish, I'll send one to you, Archbishop."

"If there's anything you need help with, Your Highness, feel free to let me know."

"Of course. If the need arises, I won't hesitate."

Chatting idly along the way, the two soon arrived at the church.

Ulysses glanced at Ron and sighed inwardly.

When he first heard that the Seventh Prince had become a Chosen One of the Goddess of Harvest, Ulysses thought the time had finally come for the Church of Harvest to rise.

But after meeting Ron, he realized things weren't as he had imagined.

This Seventh Prince… didn't seem to care much for power or status.

Every time Ulysses spoke with Ron, he would subtly suggest things.

For example, recommending that Ron open a flower shop branch in the Royal Capital was a way to nudge him closer to the center of power.

Mentioning the factory and land was to remind Ron not to waste time on unprofitable endeavors.

But none of it seemed to work…

At first, Ulysses assumed it was just an act.

But after observing Ron for the past week, he came to a startling realization—Ron truly enjoyed what he was doing now.

And Ulysses simply couldn't understand it.

The founding emperor of the Human Empire was a Chosen One of Sebotan, the God of War.

Now, Ron had become a Chosen One of the Goddess of Harvest. If he returned to the Royal Capital, the Church of Harvest would naturally become his strongest backing.

The throne of the Human Empire—one of the most powerful positions on the continent—who wouldn't desire it?

Others could only dream of such an opportunity, yet Ron actually had the chance to fight for it.

But he hadn't shown the slightest interest in doing so.

This left Ulysses at a complete loss.

"Archbishop, Your Highness Ron." Bishop Morris came out to greet them at the church entrance.

"You're preparing for the upcoming ceremony, right? Is there anything I need to help with?" Ron asked, drawing a wheat symbol over his chest in greeting.

Inside the church, people were bustling in and out, clearly very busy.

"We're taking care of the preparations. You just need to come a day in advance to run through the ceremony process," said Morris.

"The ritual doesn't require much effort on your part, Your Highness. It's mostly symbolic," Ulysses added. "Where are the sisters? I'd like to introduce Ron to them."

"They're resting in the back hall," Morris said as he stepped aside.

Ulysses and Ron passed through the main hall and entered the rear chamber.

The moment Ron stepped into the back hall, his eyes lit up.

He saw more than a dozen girls dressed in loose black nun robes, some sitting, some standing, each wearing a white veil that wrapped their hair neatly.

The sisters looked very young, all with fresh, pure appearances.

Some sat quietly, reciting scriptures with peaceful expressions.

Others gathered in small groups, whispering and giggling, their laughter like the soft chime of silver bells.

When they noticed Archbishop Ulysses enter, all the sisters immediately straightened up and gathered before the two men in orderly fashion.

Ron looked at the group of nuns lined up in front of him, each wearing a soft, uniform smile and making the wheat sign over their chests.

"Greetings, Archbishop."

Their smiles felt like a spring breeze, making Ron feel slightly dazed.

These sisters were all wood-element mages who had trained in magic since childhood. Years of mana nourishment had left their skin fair and radiant.

So as long as their facial features were even somewhat pleasant, they all appeared quite beautiful at a glance.

And among them, a few were truly stunning—more attractive than any of the edited images from Ron's original world.

Each had a unique charm, not the same cookie-cutter look.

Some were elegant like orchids, others bright like bamboo, or fresh like chrysanthemums—they were like a painting of nature's finest.

Thinking about how he planned to have them help with farming, Ron suddenly felt a little guilty. It seemed like such a waste.

Asking such a lovely group of sisters to toil in the wilderness? How cruel!

"This is His Highness Ron, Chosen One of the Goddess," Ulysses introduced without delay.

"Greetings, Your Highness Ron." The sisters greeted in unison, their soft and melodic voices soothing to the ears.

"…Hello, everyone." Ron snapped out of his daze and returned the greeting.

Pure, curious eyes fell on Ron's face, full of amazement.

He's so good-looking!

Who would've thought the legendary Chosen One would be this young?

He's prettier than most of us!

His eyes… such a nice shade of light red.

Nice build too… and so gentle! He's not scary at all.

Though the sisters kept their demure smiles, their minds were racing with thoughts.

"Where's Sister Sylvie? I don't see her," Ulysses asked.

One of the nuns stepped forward and lowered her eyes. "Sister Sylvie is in the prayer room. She should be out soon."

As soon as she spoke, the door to the prayer room opened, and a tall, slender figure emerged.

She wore the same loose black robes, but they did little to hide her well-developed figure.

As she walked out and saw the other sisters lined up, her pale green eyes blinked in surprise.

When her gaze shifted past the others and landed on the Archbishop, realization dawned, and she quickly stepped forward.

"Greetings, Archbishop," she said softly, bowing and drawing the wheat symbol over her chest.

"Mhm. Sylvie, this is His Highness Ron, Chosen of the Goddess."

Sylvie glanced at Ron with a bit of surprise, then quickly lowered her head. "Greetings, Your Highness Ron."

"Hello, Sister Sylvie," Ron greeted her while quickly shifting his eyes away from her chest, feeling a bit guilty.
