Chapter 173 - CHAPTER:173 โ€” Village Comedy & Dangerous Childhood Memories

Laddu lay back on the sofa ๐Ÿ˜Œ, baby resting comfortably on his chest ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ’ค.

One hand gently tapping the baby's back ๐Ÿค,

the other waving lazily in the air โœ‹๐Ÿ˜ด.

Out of nowhere, he spoke.

"I remember one incident from my school," he said ๐Ÿ˜.

Everyone glanced at him.

That tone always meant danger โš ๏ธ.

"It was school assembly," Laddu continued.

"I was standing on stage."

Maya leaned forward.

"Why?" ๐Ÿคจ

"Because of my long hair," Laddu replied calmly ๐Ÿ’‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Candy giggled.

"Of course." ๐Ÿ˜‚

Laddu smiled.

"Our principal," he said,

"very strict man. Face like punishment itself." ๐Ÿ˜

Father nodded.

"I know that type." ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

"He came close," Laddu continued,

"and said he was going to beat me."

Mochi raised an eyebrow.

"And?" ๐Ÿ‘€

"He asked," Laddu said, copying the voice perfectly,

'Is there no barber in your village?'"

Smiles started spreading ๐Ÿ˜„.

"I said," Laddu went on,

'There are four.' โœ‹โœ‹โœ‹โœ‹

Mother frowned.

"Then why didn't you cut your hair?" ๐Ÿค”

Laddu grinned.

"Principal asked same thing."

Laddu straightened slightly, reenacting ๐ŸŽญ.

"'Then why your hair is like this?'"

"And I said," Laddu paused dramatically ๐Ÿ˜Œ,

'They are busy.'"

Candy laughed out loud ๐Ÿคฃ.

"The principal got angry," Laddu said.

"He asked, 'First barber?'"

"I said," Laddu continued calmly,

'His wife ran away with another man.' ๐Ÿ˜"

The room burst into laughter ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ˜‚.

"But principal didn't stop," Laddu said.

"He asked, 'Second barber?'"

"I said," Laddu replied,

'With himโ€ฆ she ran away.' ๐Ÿ˜‡"

Maya slapped the sofa laughing ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ.

"And principal shouted," Laddu said,

'THIRD BARBER?' ๐Ÿ˜ก

Laddu smiled innocently ๐Ÿ˜‡.

"I said," he finished,

'He helped them run away.' ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

"And principal shouted," Laddu continued,

'FOURTH BARBER?!' ๐Ÿ˜ค

Laddu smiled even more innocently.

"I said," he finished,

'He helping first barber to catch his wife.' ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ˜Œ

๐Ÿ’ฃย The entire house exploded.

Candy rolled on the floor laughing ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ.

Maya wiped tears ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Cousin couldn't breathe ๐Ÿ˜ต.

Father laughed openly ๐Ÿ˜†.

Mother covered her mouth, shaking ๐Ÿ˜น.

"And you know what?" Laddu added softly.

"What?" Candy asked between laughs ๐Ÿ˜‚.

"Even my strict principal laughed," Laddu said.

"And let me go." ๐Ÿ˜Œ

He looked down at the baby ๐Ÿ‘ถ.

"Comedy saves life," he said seriously ๐Ÿ˜.

Mochi shook her head, smiling ๐Ÿ’•.

"You were dangerous even as a child," she said.

Laddu smiled back.

"Yes," he replied.

"Still am." ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Everyone was laughing and smiling ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’–.

Village Rumour Time ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿชฃ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Laddu shifted slightly on the sofa, still holding the baby like a professional nap pillow ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ›Œ.

"You know," he said casually,

"once there was a rumour in my village."

Everyone instinctively looked at him ๐Ÿ‘€.

"Danger," Maya whispered โš ๏ธ.

Laddu continued anyway.

"They said," he explained,

"if you ask anything at night from the temple wellโ€ฆ you will get it." ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿชฃโœจ

Candy's eyes lit up.

"Magic well?" ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

"Yes," Laddu nodded.

"Village-level Amazon." ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐Ÿ˜‚

Father smiled.

"Rumours like this never die." ๐Ÿ˜Œ

"There was one greedy wife," Laddu went on,

"very greedy." ๐Ÿ˜ค

Mother sighed.

"Of course." ๐Ÿ™„

"She forced her husband to go with her," Laddu said.

"He didn't believe the rumour."

Mochi leaned closer.

"And?" ๐Ÿ‘‚

"They reached the temple well at night," Laddu said.

"Husband went first." ๐ŸŒ‘

He changed his voice, dramatic ๐ŸŽญ.

"He asked for something," Laddu said.

"Nothing happened."

Candy frowned.

"Fake?" ๐Ÿคจ

"Husband said same thing," Laddu nodded.

"He laughed." ๐Ÿ˜†

"But then," Laddu paused ๐Ÿ˜,

"wife said, 'My turn.'"

Everyone waited ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ.

"She leaned over the well," Laddu continuedโ€ฆ

"And?" ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

"She fell in." ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿชฃ

The room froze โ„๏ธ.

Thenโ€”

Maya burst out laughing ๐Ÿคฃ.

Cousin choked ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ˜‚.

Candy gasped, then laughed too ๐Ÿ˜†.

Father shook his head.

"That escalated fast." ๐Ÿ˜

Laddu nodded seriously.

"From that day," he said,

"husband fully believed the rumour." ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Mochi blinked.

"โ€ฆhe ask freedom from his wife?" ๐Ÿ˜ณ

"Yes," Laddu replied calmly ๐Ÿ˜‡.

Candy giggled.

"And got it." ๐Ÿ˜‚

Mother laughed softly.

"Lesson?" ๐Ÿค

Laddu looked down at the baby ๐Ÿ‘ถ.

"Never test rumours at night," he said.

"And never force someone who already said no." โ˜๏ธ

Maya clapped ๐Ÿ‘.

"Moral story with casualty." ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚

Laddu smiled.

"Village stories," he said.

"They teach you without homework." ๐Ÿ“šโŒ

The baby slept peacefully ๐Ÿ˜ด.

The house laughed warmly ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’–.

And somewhere,

a temple well kept its reputation intact. ๐Ÿชฃ๐Ÿ˜Œ
