Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 : Into the Hot Springs

After the queens' health fully recovered, both Queen Amaris and Queen Titania slowly stood up. Sunlight poured through the tall windows of the royal chamber, warming the room with a golden glow.

Amaris walked toward the window and breathed deeply. "It's been a whole month since we were trapped in this room…"

Titania stretched her arms and laughed softly. "Yes, sister. It feels like prison life. I want fresh air, nature, and hot springs. Real hot springs."

Amaris smiled. "It's been so long since we visited one. We truly deserve a vacation."

Kael, still kneeling respectfully, spoke gently. "Your Highnesses… if I may say something."

They both turned toward him.

"I know a place," Kael continued. "It isn't famous, but the hot springs there have special properties. They smooth the skin, restore stamina, remove exhaustion, and even weaken curses and negative mana effects. If you wish… I can take you there."

Amaris's eyes lit up. "Oh? That sounds perfect."

Titania clapped her hands happily. "Then it's decided! Kael, you will be our guide."

Kael bowed. "Then I will first inform—"

He stopped himself.

"I will inform… His Majesty."

Titania narrowed her eyes teasingly. "You almost said 'father,' didn't you?"

Kael froze.

Amaris smiled mischievously. "Wait… did you just call someone father?"

Titania stepped closer. "Kael, who did you call father just now?"

Kael panicked. "I-I meant the King! His Majesty! King Althemir!"

The queens exchanged looks.

Amaris laughed. "So you already call him father in your heart."

Titania giggled. "And yet you call us 'Your Highness.' How unfair."

Before Kael could react, Titania hugged him from behind.

"So you call him father," she teased, "but call us formally?"

Kael turned red. "W-What?! I—I—"

Amaris stepped closer with a smile. "How cute."

Titania nodded. "Extremely cute."

Kael backed away nervously until his back touched the wall.

"S-Stop teasing me…"

Suddenly, the door burst open.

"Mother!"

"Mother!"

Princess Seraphina and Princess Elowen ran in and hugged Queen Amaris and Queen Titania tightly.

"Are you okay?!"

"We were so worried!"

Amaris smiled and held them. "We're completely fine now."

Titania nodded. "Thanks to Kael."

The girls turned.

"Kael?!"

Kael tried to hide behind them, placing his hands on their shoulders.

Seraphina narrowed her eyes. "Why are you hiding?"

Before Kael could answer, Titania suddenly pulled him forward again.

Kael stumbled.

Seraphina instinctively grabbed his hand—

—and fell.

Kael fell over her.

Their faces were inches apart.

Silence.

Eyes locked.

Hearts racing.

Amaris covered her mouth. "My, my… Seraphina, how bold you've become."

Kael quickly stood up and helped Seraphina.

Seraphina's face was red.

Elowen crossed her arms. "What is going on here?!"

Titania smiled innocently. "Nothing. Kael invited us to go to hot springs."

"What?!"

Seraphina and Elowen shouted together.

"You never take us anywhere!"

"And you're taking them to hot springs?!"

"We are your wives!"

Amaris laughed. "Then maybe we should marry Kael instead of you two."

Titania hugged Kael again. "Yes, good idea."

Kael's face exploded red. "W-What is this soft feeling—?!"

Seraphina and Elowen pulled Kael away.

"No!"

"He's marrying us!"

The queens laughed.

Amaris raised her hand. "Relax, relax. We're joking."

Then she leaned toward Kael.

"The option is always open, though."

Kael froze.

"W-What do you mean?"

Amaris smiled mysteriously. "Nothing."

Kael coughed. "S-So… mothers… are we going to the hot springs?"

Titania smiled brightly. "Good boy."

Amaris nodded. "But don't call us 'Your Highness' again."

Elowen pointed at Kael. "Call them mother."

Kael swallowed. "Y-Yes… mother."

Seraphina smiled proudly.

Kael continued, "We'll go to Aurevale."

"The land you're developing?" Seraphina asked.

Kael nodded. "Yes. But first, I need to inform father."

Titania waved her hand. "Don't worry about him."

Kael then spoke firmly. "Before we go, I want to bring my mother, my sister, and my maid with us."

Amaris smiled warmly. "Of course."

Titania nodded. "Family travels together."

Kael smiled in relief.

"Then please gather your luggage."

He formed a magic circle.

"First stop… Valcrest Mansion."

Seraphina and Elowen took the queens' hands.

Light surrounded them.

They vanished.

They appeared inside the Valcrest dining hall.

Kael shouted, "Mother! Lyria! Lilith!"

Elara and Lyria rushed down.

The queens smiled.

Amaris spoke gently. "No need for formality. We will be family soon."

Seraphina hugged Elara.

Elowen hugged Lyria.

Lyria clung to Kael's arm. "I'm not giving my brother to anyone."

Lilith arrived with her sister.

Kael smiled. "Good. We're all going."

Elara laughed. "Aurevale hot springs? Of course I'm coming."

Kael raised his hand.

"Everyone, hold hands."

A massive magic circle formed.

Light exploded.

And they vanished.

Golden light wrapped around them as the teleportation circle faded.

The scent of fresh wood, stone, and morning dew filled the air.

They had arrived.

Kael slowly opened his eyes and felt the familiar mana flow of Aurevale beneath his feet.

But the others—

—froze in shock.

The queens, princesses, Elara, Lyria, Lilith, and Lilith's sister all stood silently.

Before them stood Kael's mansion.

Not a simple lord's house.

Not a village hall.

But a true lord's estate — white stone walls, carved pillars, glowing mana lamps, crystal windows, and banners bearing the symbol of Aurevale: a golden flame rising from a silver river.

Seraphina whispered, "Kael… this is your home?"

Elowen blinked. "This is bigger than some noble palaces…"

Queen Amaris smiled softly. "You didn't just build a village, Kael. You built a future."

Queen Titania crossed her arms with pride. "So this is what a 13-year-old baron can do in a few months. Ridiculous."

Kael scratched his head awkwardly. "I just… did what was needed."

A Very Embarrassing First Impression

They entered the mansion.

And instantly—

Silence.

Dust.

Clothes.

Scrolls.

Tools.

Blueprints.

Broken chairs.

Half-built furniture.

Mess everywhere.

Seraphina blinked. "Kael…"

Elowen stared. "This is… impressive chaos."

Queen Amaris laughed gently. "So this is the hidden side of a great lord."

Queen Titania smirked. "Disaster lord."

Elara raised her eyebrow.

Lyria crossed her arms.

Lilith slowly facepalmed.

Kael froze.

"…I can explain."

No one spoke.

Kael panicked.

"Status—mana control—mass cleaning spell—Aurevale Authority—activate!"

Blue, gold, and silver magic exploded outward.

The air shimmered.

Dust vanished.

Broken furniture repaired itself.

Clothes folded.

Scrolls stacked.

Floors polished.

Walls restored.

In less than ten seconds, the mansion transformed into a royal-grade residence.

Everyone stared.

Queen Titania clapped slowly. "Cleaning magic… I want that power."

Queen Amaris laughed. "Now this looks like a home worthy of queens."

Seraphina smiled proudly. "That's my Kael."

Elowen nodded seriously. "Very husband material."

Kael turned red. "Y-you two—"

Kael guided them to the balcony.

And then—

The world opened.

Below them:

Aurevale.

No longer a village.

No longer a town.

But a city.

Stone roads.

Merchant districts.

Adventure guild halls.

Mana-powered street lamps.

Training grounds.

Markets.

Water canals.

Trade caravans.

Flying magic platforms.

Crystal towers.

Children laughing.

Adventurers training.

Merchants trading.

Knights patrolling.

Life everywhere.

Queen Amaris gasped.

Queen Titania went silent.

Elara covered her mouth.

Lyria whispered, "Big brother…"

Seraphina and Elowen stared at Kael.

Then—

Queen Amaris bowed.

"Kael Valcrest… this is not the work of a baron. This is the work of a king."

Queen Titania nodded. "You didn't build buildings. You built hope."

Kael felt his chest tighten.

"I just wanted them to live safely."

New Bonds

Kael turned.

"Lilith, please assist the queens and my mother."

Lilith bowed. "With honor, Master Kael."

Kael gestured to the small girl beside her.

"Everyone, this is Liana. Lilith's younger sister."

Liana bowed shyly. "H-hello…"

Elowen knelt and hugged her. "She's adorable!"

Seraphina smiled warmly. "Welcome to Aurevale, Liana."

Queen Amaris placed her hand on the girl's head. "You are safe here."

Queen Titania grinned. "You live in a lord's mansion now. Good luck."

Liana's eyes sparkled.

The Miracle Hot Spring

Kael raised his hand.

Golden runes formed.

Mana surged.

Creation magic activated.

The earth shifted.

Stone reshaped.

Water surged.

Crystal veins formed.

Steam rose.

In minutes, a natural hot spring complex formed beside the mansion:

Crystal healing pools

• Mana recovery springs

• Curse purification water

• Skin restoration pools

• Spirit cleansing zones

• Moonlight baths

• Private royal baths

Steam glowed with golden light.

Queen Titania stared. "You just… created a hot spring kingdom."

Queen Amaris smiled. "This is divine-class creation magic."

Seraphina hugged Kael. "You're unfairly amazing."

Elowen nodded. "Unfairly."

Bath Chaos

(Respectfully summarized)

Steam.

Queen Titania: "Kael, you're banned from entering."

Kael: "I wasn't planning to!"

Seraphina: "Liar."

Elowen: "Pervert lord."

Kael: "I'm innocent!"

The Quiet Moment

On the balcony.

Kael stood between Seraphina and Elowen.

Fireworks reflected in their eyes.

Seraphina held his arm.

Elowen held his hand.

Neither spoke.

Just warmth.

Peace.

Belonging.

Seraphina whispered, "This is our future."

Elowen smiled. "Our home."

Kael closed his eyes.

"Then I'll protect it… forever."

Above them, the sky bloomed in golden light.

And Aurevale shined like a new star.
