Chapter 13 - Chapter 8 - Part A: The Queen Returns

The morning sun shone over Ishiyama High with a deceptive serenity, but anyone who had the misfortune of reading the history books—or, more accurately, the "delinquent reports"—knew the truth. Ishiyama High wasn't just a school; it was a warzone dressed in uniforms, a place where rules were suggestions and destruction was a form of self-expression. It was, quite simply, the most atrocious, heinous, law-defying, trouble-inciting, sheerly catastrophic high school in the entire prefecture.

And today, as fate would have it, chaos had a new name: Aoi Kunieda, better known as the "Queen of Ishiyama."

Furuichi had been practically vibrating with excitement since he heard the rumors. His eyes gleamed like a feral squirrel spotting a stash of rare nuts. "Oga! Did you hear?! THE Queen of Ishiyama High is returning! The one, the only—Queen Kunieda!"

Oga, dragging Beelzebub on his back like a backpack-shaped bundle of pure evil energy, blinked slowly. "Queen... Kunieda?" he asked, as if he had just heard a particularly complicated word in a foreign language.

"Yes!" Furuichi yelled, flailing his arms like an excitable bird of prey. "The Red Tails gang! She's back! She's here to whip some first-years like you into shape!"

Oga looked down at Beel, who yawned innocently, tiny fists stretching in midair. "Uh... first of all, I thought Ishiyama High was a boys-only school?"

Furuichi froze mid-flap, his mouth slowly dropping open. "WHAT?! You didn't know that?! Are you kidding me?! This isn't some quaint little all-boys prep school—it's a battlefield where the girls are just as vicious, if not more! And she's—she's the queen!"

Oga, completely nonchalant, adjusted Beel on his back and scratched his neck. "So... you're saying I should... uh... look out for her? Or what?"

Furuichi's hands gripped Oga's collar and yanked him forward. "LOOK! JUST LOOK! DO NOT PASS GO! DO NOT COLLECT ANYTHING! THIS IS HISTORY IN THE MAKING, TATSUMI OGA!"

And with that, Oga found himself being literally dragged across the courtyard, his backpack a squirming, squealing mass of demon might. Beel, seemingly enjoying the ride, waved his tiny arms like a tiny tyrant surveying his new domain.

As they neared the main school gate, whispers spread like wildfire. Ishiyama High students—boys and girls alike—paused mid-destruction to catch a glimpse of the Queen's arrival.

"She's back..." one sophomore muttered, polishing the handle of his baseball bat with trembling hands.

"The Queen of Ishiyama," another added, whispering like a ghost fearing the very sound of her name, "leader of the Red Tails, the girls' gang that conquered the entire district... she doesn't lose."

Furuichi's face lit up like a firework in the night sky. "Oga! Did you hear that? She doesn't LOSE!"

Oga squinted at him, trying to focus through the sound of the wind and the tiny squeals of Beel on his back. "That's... impressive, I guess. Does she bite?"

Furuichi threw his hands in the air. "BITE?! Oga! She would obliterate you before you could even finish that sentence!"

Oga rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Sounds... fun."

Finally, they reached the main schoolyard, and the crowd parted like the Red Sea. At the center stood a figure whose mere presence seemed to make the air heavier, more tense. It was Aoi Kunieda, the Queen of Ishiyama High.

She wore the school uniform with an elegance that suggested she could have walked straight out of a fashion magazine... if fashion magazines also came with a side of lethal combat aura. Her bokuto rested on her shoulder, perfectly balanced, and her eyes—sharp, calculating, and surprisingly soft underneath her mask—scanned the courtyard with deadly precision. Behind her, the Red Tails members fanned out, looking ready for battle at a moment's notice.

Furuichi practically bounced up and down on the spot. "THERE SHE IS! QUEEN KUNIEDA!"

Beel, as if sensing something momentous, wriggled and squealed in excitement. Oga patted him down absentmindedly. "Okay, brat... calm down. We're just watching."

Rumors had spread fast in Ishiyama High, and apparently, they had reached the ears of the Red Tails. Aoi's sharp gaze landed on Oga immediately. Her lips pressed into a thin line. So this is him... the first-year delinquent disrupting the balance? The one who defeated two members of the Tojo Hoshinki?

Oga, meanwhile, remained completely oblivious. He squinted at her and muttered, "Uh... nice hair?"

Furuichi let out a strangled gasp. "Did you just... compliment her hair? OGA, THIS IS THE QUEEN!"

Aoi blinked. Beneath her mask, a flicker of surprise crossed her face. Something about him seemed familiar... the way he carried that baby... the calm in the midst of chaos. Could it be... the delinquent from the park?

Her heart skipped a beat, but she quickly masked it behind her stern Red Tails persona. If Oga recognized her, the delicate balance of her gang's fearsome reputation would crumble. She was relieved when he didn't even give a hint of recognition.

Aoi's eyes narrowed. "I challenge you to a fight. Put the child down. " Her voice was firm, commanding, tinged with a frustration that suggested she didn't tolerate nonsense.

Oga shook his head. "Nah. He's fine. Loves it here. Doesn't want to get off me."

Aoi's face hardened. He's using the baby as leverage... she thought. This is the delinquent I met at the park? The kind one? How... trashy. What a monster.

Furuichi, meanwhile, was bouncing with excitement beside Oga. "Look at him! Beel likes her! He's reacting favorably! This is perfect, Oga! Force him onto her! This is the only chance to get rid of him."

Oga "Good idea. Knew you could be useful Furuichi."

Furuichi: "What do you mean by that!"

Beel, oblivious to the complicated social norms of human gangs, giggled and waved his tiny arms like he was volunteering for battle. Oga looked down at him and shrugged. "Fine... if you want to."

Aoi's bokuto shifted into position. She was ready for battle, and the tension in the air grew thick enough to slice with a sword. The students around them held their breath. Even Furuichi looked a little pale.

Narrator (in true Beelzebub fashion):

Thus, history—or something vaguely resembling history—was about to be made. A first-year delinquent with a demon child on his back, a queen with a wooden sword that could probably cleave steel, and a supporting cast that made the entire schoolyard feel like a three-ring circus. Buckle up, dear reader. It's going to be a bumpy ride.

Oga glanced at Furuichi, who nodded enthusiastically. "Go on, fight! Show her who's boss!"

Aoi took a step forward, her bokuto cutting through the light with a menacing glint. "You will put the baby down, or I will take it by force!"

Oga tilted his head. "Or... what? You'll hit me with that stick?"

The narrator interjected:

Ladies and gentlemen, you are witnessing the perfect example of Ishiyama High's unique social order. It's not about who's stronger. It's about who can survive the sheer chaos while maintaining some semblance of personal dignity. Spoiler alert: very few do.

Aoi's eyes narrowed, assessing Oga. This delinquent... somehow, he isn't afraid. But why... does he carry the baby like it's nothing? And why am I feeling... something weird? No. Focus. He's here to disrupt the balance. He must be stopped.

Meanwhile, Oga scratched his head. "Yeah... he's fine. Totally fine. Doesn't need to put him down."

Furuichi, screaming internally: "WHY IS HE SO OBLIVIOUS?! SHE'S ABOUT TO ATTACK YOU!"

Beel, sensing excitement, squealed happily and flailed.

Narrator:

And thus, with misunderstandings, hidden identities, and a demon baby on the line, the stage was set. The Queen of Ishiyama versus the oblivious first-year delinquent. Only one question remained: who would make the first mistake?
