Chapter 15 - Chapter 9 - Part A: Rumors, Furuichi, and the Calm Before the Storm

The sun rose over Ishiyama High with the same chaotic gusto as always, its battered gates standing like a fortress for delinquency. Here, legends were born, fights were law, and even the most absurd rumors could spark full-scale school wars. To the uninitiated, the school looked like any other—but for those who knew, it was nothing short of a maelstrom of violence and absurdity, a place where ordinary logic was irrelevant, and only strength and cunning mattered.

And it was on such a morning that Furuichi Takayuki, long-suffering friend, observer, and self-proclaimed chronicler of Oga Tatsumi's misadventures, found himself pacing frantically outside the main courtyard, as if his very life depended on witnessing Oga's latest calamity firsthand.

"Seriously... seriously! I mean, look at him!" Furuichi's arms flailed dramatically, knocking a stray soda can into the air, which promptly clattered onto the pavement. "The guy lives with two gorgeous babes, Hilda and Kogen! And now the Queen of Ishiyama is swooping down on him like some anime goddess of delinquency! WHY is this guy always so lucky?!"

He spun in a circle, imagining a fantastical scenario: Oga perched atop the school rooftop, Beelzebub strapped to his back, a horde of admirers bowing in reverence. Around him, Hilda and Kogen posed like perfectly sculpted statues of elegance and power, their hair shimmering as if the sun itself had conspired to highlight their beauty. Furuichi clutched his head. "Why not me?! I'm right here! I've been through the wars of friendship, and yet—nothing! NOTHING!"

Meanwhile, Oga ambled beside him, scratching his head lazily, completely oblivious. Beel wriggled happily on his back, cooing and blubbering nonsense that sounded suspiciously like a demonic version of "I love daddy."

"...Huh?" Oga mumbled, glancing down at the small demon. "WHat's wrong with you. What's the big deal?"

Furuichi stopped dead in his tracks, arms frozen mid-flail. He stared at Oga as if his friend had suddenly sprouted horns and wings. "WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?! THE BIG DEAL?! Oga! Do you not see what's happening?! You're living the dream of every high school delinquent!"

Oga just shrugged. "I'm... not really sure what dream you're talking about. I just woke up, fed the brat, and walked here."

Classic Oga. Completely incapable of comprehending the absurdity swirling around him.

Enter Kogen and Hilda

Before Furuichi could launch into another dramatic monologue about Oga's injustice in life, the ground beneath them trembled faintly. A shadow passed overhead—sleek, elegant, and impossibly composed. Kogen, the enigmatic demon, descended onto the scene, carrying an air of dark allure that caused several passing students to stare slack-jawed. Behind him, Hilda followed silently, her expression stoic but her sharp eyes missing nothing.

Furuichi froze, his mouth hanging open. "W-What... what are THEY doing here?!"

Kogen's eyes scanned the courtyard, finally settling on Oga. A gentle, mocking smile played across his lips. "Ah... darling," he said softly, his tone dripping with elegance and amusement. "What a delightful scene you've put on for us today."

Oga immediately froze. "wait, what?! What do you mean 'darling'?!" His face burned red as he pointed a shaky finger at Kogen. "I'm not your—what?! Stop it, just stop it right now!"

Kogen's grin widened, showing just the faintest hint of teeth, almost playfully sinister. "Oh, but your protests are simply delightful. Really. I could watch you squirm all day."

Furuichi's eyes widened to the size of saucers. "I knew it... he's getting teased by THAT guy! And he's BLUSHING!"

Meanwhile, Hilda's expression remained blank, though a single eyebrow twitched. "You really are a hopeless case, Oga. And yet... amusing."

Oga stomped his foot, glaring at both of them. "I... I am not—Just shut up already"

Comic narration floated in from the top corner of the page, just like the manga:

"Thus began yet another chapter in the life of Tatsumi Oga... delinquent, demon babysitter, and unwilling star of Kogen's personal theater of torment."

Kunieda's Inner Turmoil

Elsewhere, across the school grounds, Aoi Kunieda, the legendary Queen of the Red Tails, stood observing the scene. Her lieutenants, Chiaki Tanimura and Nene Oomura, flanked her, eyes darting nervously as rumors of Oga's exploits reached their ears.

Aoi's brow furrowed, and she stammered, "I-I... I have no feelings for him! That is... well, obviously!"

Chiaki and Nene exchanged glances, knowing Aoi's confident exterior rarely showed the turmoil inside. Yet they also noticed her slight blush, a telltale sign that she was... flustered.

The Arrival of MK5

Before anyone could fully relax, a raucous shout erupted from the edge of the courtyard. A group of first- and second-year delinquents, later to be known as MK5, barreled toward Oga, fists raised, teeth gritted, each radiating the kind of juvenile menace that only Ishiyama High could produce.

"Hey, you! First-year punk! Heard you've been messing with the balance! We're here to put you in your place!"

Oga, ever unbothered, continued walking, Beel clinging to his back. "Uh... okay. Cool."

Behind him, Hildegarde materialized silently, her aura radiating an invisible forcefield of pure terror. The MK5 members froze, sensing death before even seeing it. "No one interfere when my master(Beel) is resting."

And so, the fight began.

A fist swung. Oga dodged lazily.

Another tried a kick. Blocked with a casual wave of his hand.

Beel squealed, bouncing with excitement, adding sound effects like a demonized audience member.

Furuichi cheered hysterically, occasionally hiding behind trashcans as debris flew past.

Hildegarde's overkill was comically brutal:

A delinquent charged at her; she flicked him into a tree like a pinball.

Another attempted a sneak attack; Hildegarde simply raised an eyebrow and sent him careening across the courtyard.

Comic narration boxes highlighted the absurdity:

"It was at this moment that the MK5 realized: at Ishiyama High, strength and sheer ridiculousness dictated reality... and Oga's entourage was absurdly dangerous."

Onlookers' Reactions

From the sidelines, students murmured and gossiped:

"Oga... has two wives?!"

"Is that... Kogen? He's... beautiful... and terrifying?"

"Wait, he's married?! To a guy? "

"If a guy is that hot, does it matter really."

Aoi, observing everything from a distance, narrowed her eyes, flushed with a mix of jealousy, confusion, and indignation. Her thoughts spun:

"What... is going on? Married? But he proposed? But he... he's the same park delinquent..."

The visual gags were rampant: chibi Oga with hearts popping over Kogen and Hilda, sweat drops over Aoi, exclamation marks exploding around Furuichi.

Kogen in Action

Amidst the chaos, Kogen remained calm, seated elegantly with Beel in his arms, feeding him milk. His darkly refined presence drew gasps from passing students. One particularly brave (or foolish) delinquent tried to strike him.

With a flick of his wrist and the subtlest smile, Kogen neutralized the threat.

"Do hurry along, dears, before I get... really angry," he said, the corners of his lips twitching in macabre amusement.

The delinquent scrambled away, screaming, while onlookers whispered in awe.

Oga's eyes widened, flailing dramatically. "This... THIS ISN'T FAIR! I'm supposed to be terrifying! I'm the one raising Beel!"

Comic narration:

"And so, Tatsumi Oga's attempt at delinquent dominance was overshadowed by his own housemates, leaving him flustered, angry, and ever clueless about the chaos surrounding him."

Aoi's Misunderstanding

Aoi's sharp eyes caught snippets of conversation: whispers about Oga having a "wife" (or two).

Her face turned scarlet.

Her fists clenched.

She assumed he had proposed despite being "married," and felt deeply betrayed.

Her inner monologue:

"He... he played with my feelings! How dare he propose while already married?! This ends today!"

And thus, the storm of misunderstanding was set in motion. The tension between Aoi and Oga was primed for their next clash, with Furuichi screaming in the background, Beel squealing, and Kogen calmly snacking on popcorn, the perfect audience for his pet human's comedic torment.

Narration box:

"And thus, Ishiyama High's usual chaos continued unabated, with misunderstandings, delinquent fights, and demonic babysitters all blending into the perfect storm... and Oga's life remained hopelessly complicated."
