Chapter 69 - Chapter 69

  Chapter 69 Bloodline Power

After finishing his grilled fish, Lin Xiuran prepared to head to the Blacksmith Association.

However, he had barely stepped out the door, the aroma of the fish still lingering, when he was already being watched.

A black baseball cap obscured most of his face, leaving only a pale stare.

Lin Xiuran immediately sensed the man's chilling gaze; it was so cold, staring directly at him, sending a shiver down his spine.

He used his mental energy to guard against the man and then moved aside, unsure of who he was, and avoiding him if possible.

At the very least, Lin Xiuran couldn't sense the man's strength, which meant the man

was definitely stronger than him. After all, Lin Xiuran's mental energy far surpassed that of his peers. The fact that he couldn't sense the man's true strength was enough to prove the man's power was far superior.

Clearly, the man in the baseball cap was after him; Lin Xiuran had barely left when the man followed, relentlessly pursuing him. There was almost no attempt to conceal it.

In this situation, there's no need to put on a show; just head straight for the crowded streets. There are more Soul Masters and patrol officers in crowded areas, making things much easier.

However, as Lin Xiuran walked forward, the man seemed to realize something was wrong and hurriedly took two steps forward, reaching for his shoulder.

Lin Xiuran reacted quickly, instantly channeling wind element into himself the moment the man moved, while simultaneously applying some wind element to the man to slow him down as much as possible. He instantly rushed towards the street.

The man behind him no longer concealed himself; a layer of black mist enveloped him, and from within the mist, a skeletal hand instantly reached out, grabbing for Lin Xiuran.

At the critical moment, Lin Xiuran's four elemental wings instantly unfurled, and amidst gasps from the crowd on both sides of the street, he soared into the sky.

Lin Xiuran showed no mercy; the instant he ascended, lightning gathered on his wings, transforming them into a bluish-purple hue.

Bolts of lightning slammed into the skeleton man.

The skeleton man, caught off guard by Lin Xiuran's flight, didn't react in time and was immediately struck by the lightning, unable to give chase.

However, this only hindered him for a short while. Seven spirit rings erupted from beneath him, unleashing the power of a Soul Saint.

Black smoke billowed from his body, spreading throughout the entire street. Pedestrians hurriedly dodged, but some ordinary people were still thrown back by the shockwave of the Soul Saint's aura.

From within the black mist, he shot into the sky, his giant skeletal hand reaching for Lin Xiuran; his aim was clearly to capture him alive.

The power of a Soul Saint is immense, especially when unleashed at its full strength. Lin Xiuran had almost no chance to dodge and was directly gripped by the giant skeletal hand.

The skeletal man holding Lin Xiuran wore a sinister smile, his gray pupils filled with bloodthirsty greed.

If he were truly captured alive, he would likely suffer a fate worse than death!      At this moment, Lin Xiuran frantically activated the Phoenix True Fire within his body. His most powerful technique wasn't actually the lightning power granted by his fourth soul ring, but rather the Phoenix True Fire.

However, his bloodline power had never been sufficient to unleash this flame to attack others.

But now, Lin Xiuran was prepared to overdraw his bloodline power to release the Phoenix True Fire, even if it affected his very essence.

Otherwise, being captured by this evil Soul Master would be inevitable, so he had no choice but to go all out.

At this moment, Lin Xiuran reached his peak; golden flames overflowed from his body, but only overflowed. Even with his current forced use of bloodline power, he could only allow a trace of Phoenix True Fire to escape.

Yet, this mere amount of flame instantly melted the hand holding Lin Xiuran.

The skeleton man was visibly startled, but then enraged. In his eyes, Lin Xiuran, like an ant, had already provoked him several times.

Just as two more skeletal hands emerged from the black mist behind him, attempting to grab Lin Xiuran, several soul-guided projectiles instantly exploded on the skeletal hands.

Suddenly, a series of whooshing sounds echoed in the sky, and massive figures appeared above the Tianhai Stadium.

Lin Xiuran, pale and weak, panting slightly, slowly landed on the ground. Seeing the dozens of mechs before him, he breathed a slight sigh of relief.

One after another, enormous mechs, over ten meters tall, descended from the sky. There were more than a dozen of them.

At the forefront were four mechs, entirely purple, radiating a powerful aura. Behind them were ten yellow mechs.

These mechs appeared to be roughly the same size, but the energy fluctuations they emitted were drastically different. All the mechs combined did not possess the same intense energy aura emanating from the purple mech at the front.

The classification of mechs was the same as that of soul rings and soul spirits.

White Soul-Guided Mechs: Basic mechs, generally used for teaching. They can perform basic maneuvers, have basic energy installation, and are suitable for short-term combat. They cannot be integrated with soul power for control or coordinate with soul spirits. They are purely manually controlled. They are also used as basic urban security mechs to maintain public order. Ordinary people can operate them.

Yellow Soul-Guided Mechs: Standard mechs, common military mechs at this level. They offer greater controllability, have basic energy installation, and can be driven by both energy and soul power. They can coordinate with soul spirits in a simple way. They are purely manually controlled.

Purple Soul-Guided Mechs: Advanced mechs, also known as custom-designed mechs. These are designed, customized, or private mechs based on the characteristics of the user's martial soul. They possess stronger controllability and are more compatible with the user's martial soul. They are generally exclusive mechs. They coordinate seamlessly with soul spirits. They are purely manually controlled.

Black Soul-Guided Mechs: Super mechs, made with special materials, special designs, and special manufacturing. Soul spirits are integrated to a certain extent, becoming like a part of the body. Each super mech can only have one master; a super mech without a master cannot be used by anyone. To control a super mech, one needs at least a Soul Emperor cultivation level and a Spirit Sea Realm or higher mental strength. To a certain extent, mental strength can assist in mecha control, allowing for the execution of more complex maneuvers.

A red Soul-Guided Mech, a god-level mecha, must be handcrafted to have any chance of completion. It requires the finest materials and the highest level of forging, demanding the complete integration of one's own essence and martial soul into it, forming a life-or-death connection. It is a true part of one's being; a true god-level mecha may even exhibit the special phenomenon of the soul and mecha merging into one.
