Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: Don't Sell Yourself So Cheaply

Thump! Thump thump!

Her heartbeat echoed clearly.

Najenda felt her blood boiling, every cell in her body undergoing earth-shaking changes.

Beyond that, the skin around her lower back and tailbone writhed.

Something… was emerging.

Time passed—she wasn't sure how long—until the reincarnation ritual concluded.

"I've grown so strong."

Najenda clenched her fist, disbelief flickering in her eyes.

Just becoming a devil brought such transformation?

And the barrier that had long stalled her strength—it was gone.

All thanks to Mr. Kaiser.

Instinctively, she looked at him, gratitude and admiration deep in her gaze.

Kaiser ignored it, captivated by her attributes.

[Najenda]

[Race: Devil]

[Master: Kaiser Lucifuge]

[Level: LV27]

[Skill: Ultra-Rapid Regeneration]

[Ultra-Rapid Regeneration: As long as a single drop of blood remains, flesh and bone can regenerate.]

Kaiser's eyes lit up.

Najenda had surprised him greatly.

[Ultra-Rapid Regeneration].

A true lifesaving god-tier skill.

Exactly what he needed most now.

Perfect.

This was a huge win.

"Master, what is it?" Najenda asked, puzzled.

"Nothing, just that you're amazing."

"Huh?"

Flustered by the sudden praise, Najenda felt oddly pleased.

Kaiser transcribed her attributes and handed them over.

Najenda quickly dressed and scanned the note.

He'd explained attributes earlier, so she zeroed in on her skill.

"Ultra-Rapid Regeneration…"

The description thrilled her.

If it was truly this miraculous…

She touched her eyepatch and prosthetic arm.

Though accustomed to her losses, who wouldn't want a whole body?

Seeing her reaction, Kaiser knew her thoughts.

"Should work. Give it a try."

"Mm." Najenda nodded, consciously activating the skill.

Hiss…

She gasped.

Old wounds tore open.

Then an itch spread from her arm and eye socket.

Clang!

Her prosthetic fell.

Flesh writhed.

In moments, a brand-new arm extended.

"It worked…" Najenda ripped off her eyepatch, tears glistening in her restored eye.

Even in dreams, she hadn't imagined recovery.

Becoming a devil was absolutely the right choice.

At that moment, Leone poked her new arm.

"It's real—an actual arm. Unbelievable."

She murmured, then asked, "How's it feel being a devil?"

"Honestly? Incredible."

"I see." Leone nodded thoughtfully, then leapt before Kaiser, earnest. "Mr. Kaiser, you did invite me to be a peerage member earlier, right?"

"Did I?" Kaiser scratched his cheek, feigning ignorance. "Can't recall."

Leone rolled her eyes, hugging his arm.

Kaiser felt waves crashing.

His earlier judgment was spot-on.

At least D-cup territory.

Leone swayed. "Mr. Kaiser, I was wrong earlier."

"Forgive me, please…"

"…"

Najenda: "…"

Where's your dignity?

Weren't you just demanding he pay?

"Master, agree to it," Akame pleaded.

"Yes, Leone knows she was wrong. Give her this chance," Najenda added.

Truthfully, they welcomed Leone becoming a devil.

As Night Raid comrades and like-minded allies, governing the Empire together would be easier.

Not to mention the immense benefits of devilhood.

Aside from serving a master, it was all gain, no loss.

A golden opportunity.

They didn't want Leone to miss it.

"Mr. Kaiser, please…" Leone looked at him pitifully, hugging tighter.

This woman knows her stuff.

Feeling the pressure, Kaiser gave her a meaningful glance.

"Since both my peerage members insist, fine."

"Thank you, Master!" Leone beamed instantly.

Already switching titles?

She catches on quick.

Kaiser smiled approvingly, extending his finger.

Before she could speak, Leone stripped her top, thrusting forward proudly.

Najenda's forehead darkened.

"Don't act so cheaply," she said helplessly.

She knew Leone was bold, but this was too much in front of her.

"Hmph, he's seen it anyway," Leone laughed carefree. "Master, besides red, what color suits me?"

She eyed him, ready to change.

"No color—none at all," Kaiser said honestly.

Leone froze, skin flushing pink.

Deep down, she was still innocent.

Talking big was easy.

But the real thing? She couldn't handle it.

Tch, all talk.

Kaiser smirked, golden blood seeping from his finger.

"Here we go."

"Okay." Leone inhaled deeply, thrusting again.

Kaiser didn't hesitate, dripping the blood.
