The Alpha just continued staring in the mirror as some people called Vogue prepared his face and hair. He watched them paint up his face and do something weird with his hair, all the while trying not to growl or bare his teeth in a snarl at them.
Immediately, the team in charge of the face and hair was done, another team who are supposed to handle clothing took over. The Alpha just kept a straight face, even as his wolf was roaring inside of him at the audacity of these people.
"Kael, how dare you sit there and watch these people paint our faces? "Kin the Alpha's wolf growled in his mind.
"Calm down, kin, will you? Just let them be done with it, I am too ashamed to think about how I look now," The Alpha replied to the wolf.
"Jewelry Darling, you look amazing, girl, and that is on periodt," A voice drawled. The Alpha turned to see a guy who looked confused, walking funny towards him.
" Okay, why does he look like all the she-wolves here, even if he is male ?" Kin asked the Alpha incredulously.
The Alpha sighed, smiling awkwardly at the guy or uh girl who was now standing right beside him.
"Kin, I believe it has something to do with the fact that he loves looking like a she wolf even if he is a male, these humans are just bat shit crazy, kin, and I am tired of losing my shit over them," The Alpha replied.
"Thank you, " The Alpha said to the guy.
"Purrr, it's nothing, girl , but don't you think a little glitter is BSTFY?" The male she human said, smiling happily.
"BSTFY?" The Alpha repeated, already nursing a headache, because of the amount of slang used by these humans.
"Best for you, girl," The male she-human purred, looking at the Alpha with surprise.
The Alpha nodded slowly ' Of course, it's something that simple that just has to be abbreviated, what is wrong with humans?'
"Girl, you are scaring me because this is your slang. Are you sure you did not hit your head too hard ?"
"I am fine hu.... Uh, I mean, I am fine, just a little shaken up, that's all."
Another human walked over, carrying those huge electronic things they type on, while wearing another electronic thing in her ears, humph, witchcraft.
"I hope you remember your game plan for this reality show ?"The human with the huge witchcraft device asked without even looking away from the device.
When the Alpha did not answer immediately, the human looked up, panic taking over her entire look, almost as if she was about to cry.
The Alpha quickly nodded even though he had absolutely no idea what she was talking about, but the Alpha had a feeling that if he told the human that he did not know, she would maybe pass out from fear or shock.
"Good, now remember to strut your stuff, and do the walk just like we rehearsed," The she human with the big device repeated, typing something into her device.
"Strut your stuff?? Do that walk?" Kin howled in laughter. The Alpha, too, was having a hard time keeping a straight face.
The Alpha nodded while praying to the moon goddess to help him not disgrace himself in the world of the humans, of all places.
"Don't worry Jules Selene got you, I'm sure you would get one of those earpieces so she can always communicate with you," The human male female said as he applied makeup on his eyes.
The Alpha looked at the human with the device, relieved that he finally knew her name. He was even tempted to ask the human male who likes dressing like a female his name, but how would he explain that he suddenly does not know the names of her closest people?
The Alpha stared at himself in the mirror, taking in his new look and appearance. Everything about how he looks is completely different from what he is used to looking like, and with his new look, the Alpha was more than certain that immediately he steps out there, everything about him will change even more.
As a wolf who always likes to know what his odds are, the Alpha knew that his odds were pretty murky at best, because everything he knew must as well be dead and buried.
"Why are you going through with this? All I need is one word, and I come to the surface and teach these humans a lesson for messing with us," Kin, the Alpha's wolf complained.
But the Alpha just kept quiet because he knew that he could only hear his wolf, but could not transform. After all, he had lost the power to do so, since he couldn't unleash, he began to panic, and his face turned pale, almost white.
"OMG JULES, WHY ARE YOU GETTING PALE?" An older human walked in, looking both worried and stern. "Come touch up her face, add more color to it, please."
The person whom the Alpha long since learnt was his manager and pup carrier, aka mum, yelled. The people who had been torturing and poking his face earlier came back to touch his face again, and after they were satisfied, they left.
" Jewelry, James Johnson, it's time to walk into the house," Selene, the other human with the big device, called after listening to the device in her ears.. um after listening to her earpiece.
Yup, Jewelry James Johnson, that's him, the Alpha got up or tried to because he fell right back on the chair, because of the red pointy leg things called heels that they made him wear.
' How in the goddess's name was he supposed to walk in this? Without, like falling flat on his face? Oh goddess, this would be a perfect time to do an uno reverse because HOW DO I MOVE IN THIS ?'
The human male who likes to dress, talk like human females, who the Alpha later discovered was called sweetlollypupjerrypurr on somewhere called snap and Selene, the lady with the weird devices, help the Alpha up, thinking it is just nerves..
The Alpha smiled weakly at them. He tries to stand on his heels, he could feel all his shins and calves practically grow an extra muscle while trying to support himself standing, now imagine what would happen when he moves.
Why oh why would human females wear something he could use as a weapon to torture some of the stubborn rogues in his pack?.
The Alpha knew, though, that this heel was the least of his problems; the main problem is the fact that he is going to walk out of this room and walk onto a stage, because he knew he was going to look like a deer trying to escape an earthquake. And that's not all, he would be joining something called a reality TV show called FLIRT TO SURVIVE.
At first the Alpha was confused as to why someone would want to go to something that stupid, especially since flirting is not yet a thing with his kind, I mean it's either you are mated or just banging, but then he found out that the human manager who happens to be his mother as well, signed up on the deal so she can matchmake him to rich eligible human males.
And most importantly, because Billionaire mogul, Raymond Humphrey, was also going to allegedly be there, when the Alpha asked Lollyjerry why the fuss, he was told that, apparently, his family, and by his family, he means his mother, owes Raymond's father loads of money, and the only way to pay back is to trade him.
Still confused, he asked if the guy was so rich, why did he need a reality show to get a bride, and that was when Lollyjerry leaned in dramatically and whispered.
"Because he is considered a beast, who would even be in a mask because his face is destroyed completely."
Lollyjerry went ahead to tell the Alpha how, allegedly, Raymond was a mafia drug lord who killed his employees for something as simple as messing up his shoes. He told the Alpha how no Gen Z in this generation would like to end up with him, even the ones who claim they would rather cry in a Lamborghini than in a tricircle.
The Alpha was not scared in the least about Raymond, because he figured he could handle himself; it's just the thought of handling the fact that he is a social media influencer, TikToker and makeup enthusiast that makes him want to puke.
The Alpha sighed deeply, took his first step, clenched his calf and took another, all the while chanting ( if I can handle rogues, I can handle these heels ).
Immediately, the Alpha made it to the door and turned the knob. He heard the loud cheering from the fans as they waited for all the contestants to come out..
"Here goes nothing," He muttered as he stepped out.
