Chapter 5 - Sisters

'So it wasn't just some fluke back there when some system notified me it was being installed.' Elanore was a nerd at heart and enjoyed novels and video games.

While she got the gist of everything, she had no idea what the system could do. While Elanore was certainly interested, The pillow she was resting her head on, as well as the fatigue and comfort she was feeling, sleep seemed inevitable.

As tiredness pulled at her mind refusing to be ignored, Elanore nestled into her bed. "It's not like you're gonna disappear if I sleep for a while are you?"

she yawned, laying on her side. "Good night."

With that, darkness clouded her eyes,

Her thoughts drifted to the depths of her consciousness.

*The next mourning*

As rays of light shone through Eleanor's window, getting into her face. After a few moments, she began closing her eyes harder and stirring in bed, eventually she opened her eyes, refreshed and ready to take on the world.

Staring at her ceiling, only one thought clouded her mind. 'I'm going back to bed.'

Training could wait. Elanore had heard that

The body grows way more during sleep anyway. She was really just strengthening her body.

Throwing the cover over her face, she yawned, for this day she would only be battling the afternoon.

Yet, before she could sleep in, a voice from her door erupted. "HUH?! It's actually true, I almost can't believe it."

Elanore jumped a little, realizing she was being watched. Turning over, she sees a pair of purple eyes staring at her through a cracked door.

Once their eyes locked, the door swung open, Revealing a girl with short hair, and a luxurious robe she was wearing, looking like a million dollars just got up from a nap.

She looked regal and cold, the world seemed to freeze just a little wherever she was standing.

Elanore sat up, now that this woman knew she was awake and clearly intended to interrupt her sleep anyway.

Before she could do much, her face was grabbed, as the woman got a good look at it.

"I'm glad you're back sis, you wouldn't believe how stale this place was getting with only me breathing life into it."

As the woman held the young girls face in her hands, she couldn't help but think of memories prior to her coma, watching Elanore grow up to be a fine girl only to

Be put into a coma halfway through.

She didn't want to think about it, but a part of her didn't believe her younger sister would make it. Katrina was even more ashamed of it now.

But that didn't matter at the moment, as Katrina pulled Elanore into a hug, the only thing that mattered was being there for her little sister.

"I missed you too Katrina." Elanore was more than confident now. This was certainly the woman her dad was talking about. Finishing that thought, Elanore hugged her right back.

Elanore saw Katrina's face soften when she looked at her enough, ' Maybe I can talk to this ice empress.' With that, she breathed a sigh of relief.

After a few moments of silence Katrina slowly released her. "Well, I am sentimental but it's time to make up for all the time we've lost. I'll take you around town and surprise everyone with your return."

Elanore however, was interested in other things. "Once we finished that, can we go watch something?" 'I gotta know what kind of entertainment is in this world. What will capture my heart as I'm here?'

"Yes actually, I can take you to a local jousting tournament in you like. All the boys try to fight and look cool in front of others, let alone me."

Katrina ran her hand through her hair, having not had enough of herself.

Elanore squinted her eyes "remind me, which of us was just in a coma again?"

Katrina:"I-I just brought it up so you can imagine the scene before it happens."

In the doorway, Lucian watched as Katrina and Elanore argued about who the focus would be on. He couldn't seem to shake the smile from his face.

Watching banter from them, it reminded him of simpler times. He remembered when they were younger arguing just like this. Now everyone had grown distant in their own way.

Maybe it's just hard watching your kids develop entire lives and social circles, hobbies where they hardly have time for you anymore. As a father, he'd always see them as his little girls no matter how old they get.

Lucian closed his eyes as the wave of nostalgia hit him. Reopening them, he saw both girls staring at him angrily,

Elanore: How long were you watching that?

Lucian: -_-... "let's just get going!"
