Chapter 15 - Goblin Destruction

He reappeared in a familiar cave, the goblin cave. The air was thick with the stench of rot and decay, and the sound of scuttling creatures echoed through the darkness. The kid's eyes snapped into focus, his gaze piercing through the shadows as he took in his surroundings.

As Leon's eyes adjusted to the sudden change in lighting, he was met with a sight that made his brow furrow in surprise. The cave, once a dimly lit lair of scrappy goblins, was now a bustling hive of organized activity. Hundreds of goblins, each one more menacing than the last, marched forward in formation, their eyes glowing with an unnatural intelligence.

Goblin knights, clad in crude armor and wielding jagged swords, led the charge. Behind them, archers notched arrows in their bows, their beady eyes fixed on Leon with a mixture of curiosity and hostility. Hog goblins, their massive frames towering over the rest, grunted and snarled as they advanced, their cruel tusks gleaming in the flickering torchlight.

The air was thick with the stench of sweat. The ground trembled beneath the feet of the goblin army as they advanced, their footfalls synchronized in a chilling rhythm. Leon's eyes scanned the horde, his mind racing with the implications. This was no ordinary goblin tribe. They had been organized, trained, and armed for war.

"If these ones were left on a rampage, the city will be in danger." Leon thought Arlott and Lena appearing in his mind, he cherished them greatly, this was why he would stop their advance here as much as he didn't wanna play hero.

If only he knew they were here because of him in the first place.

As Leon's sapphire eyes glowed, a frosty aura erupted around him. Thousands of ice blades materialized from thin air, swirling around him in a vortex of crystalline fury. The air was filled with the sound of shattering ice and the goblins, sensing the sudden shift in power, hesitated in their advance.

The ice blades, razor-sharp and deadly, danced around Leon, forming a protective barrier between him and the goblin army. The goblins, realizing they were outmatched, unleashed a hail of arrows and projectiles, but the ice blades deflected or shattered each attack with ease.

With a swift motion, Leon raised his hand, and the ice blades responded by launching themselves at the goblin army. A wave of frozen death swept through the cave, cutting down goblins by the dozens. The sound of screams and shattering ice filled the air as the goblins were torn apart by the sheer force of the ice blades.

The goblin knights, their armor battered and dented, charged forward with reckless abandon, but the ice blades were relentless, slicing through their armor and into their flesh. The hog goblins, their massive frames no match for the ice blades, stumbled and fell, their bodies pierced by dozens of frozen shards.

The goblins were beset by an unrelenting storm of ice blades, each one slicing through the air with deadly precision. The blades rained down upon them like a frozen tempest, cutting through armor and flesh with ease. The sound of shattering ice and screams filled the air as the goblins were torn apart, their bodies mangled and broken.

The ice blades seemed to dance in the air, their crystalline edges glinting in the dim light of the cave. They sliced through goblin warriors like paper, sending limbs flying and entrails spilling onto the ground. The goblins' cries of terror and pain echoed off the walls of the cave, their desperate attempts to flee or defend themselves futile against the onslaught.

As the ice blades continued to fall, the goblins were reduced to a state of utter chaos, their formation broken and their will shattered. They stumbled and fell, their bodies hacked and pierced by the relentless blades. The cave floor became slick with blood and ice, making it impossible for the goblins to gain traction.

The horrors of the battlefield were etched into the minds of the few surviving goblins, their eyes frozen in terror as they beheld the devastation around them. The ice blades showed no mercy, cutting down everything in their path. The goblins were consumed by an existential dread, their minds shattered by the realization that they were no match for the power that had unleashed this frozen fury upon them.

Goblin Knights, Archers, Shamans all of them were completely destroyed by a single kid.

In the end, the cave fell silent, the only sound the soft crunch of ice settling on the carnage-strewn floor. The goblins lay motionless, their bodies broken and battered, their tribe decimated in a matter of moments. The ice blades, their work done, slowly dissipated into nothingness.

With a determined look on his face, Leon raised his hands, and a blast of icy energy shot out from his palms, racing towards the walls of the cave. The air seemed to shudder as the energy hit, causing the stone to crack and shatter. The sound of crashing rock and ice filled the air as the cave began to collapse.

He didn't want his little fight with the goblins draw some attention and ironically, his destruction of the cave was bound to draw unwanted attention.

Leon stood firm, his eyes glowing with a cold light as he poured more energy into the destruction. The cave walls crumbled, the ceiling caving in as the support structures were destroyed. The ground shook beneath Leon's feet as the cave's destruction accelerated, the sound growing louder and more intense.

As the last remnants of the goblin army were crushed beneath the rubble, Leon turned to leave, his work done. The cave, once a lair of darkness and terror, was now nothing more than a pile of rubble and debris, hidden from the world.

With a final glance, Leon vanished, leaving behind a cloud of dust and debris that slowly settled over the ruins of the cave. The destruction was complete, entombed beneath the rubble.

Leon focused his mind, and his senses shifted to one of the frost birds he had left in the forest earlier. The bird's sharp eyes scanned the surroundings, and Leon's consciousness saw through its gaze. The forest came into view, the trees swaying gently in the breeze.

As soon as Leon left the goblin cave a pair of eyes glowed in the cave. Earlier, he had thought he could handle the kid, this was why he had sent his elite army of goblins numbering hundreds but this kid, he had not expected this outcome, his elite army were annihilated within seconds.

"That...brat, is this strong ?" Kirka stumbled on his throne.

There was only one option for him and that was to flee there was no telling when the kid come back, however, just as he was about to do that a cloaked figure halted his movements.
