"Ohh jeez, it's night already? Haha. Didn't even notice it...
Ryan looked outside the cafe's window, gazing at empty sky, all of the stars hidden beneth light pollution.
"Today was... nice, right Celine?"
"Yeah, It's fun hanging out with you."
Celine sat across him, crosslegged on her fairly short skirt, her top covered most of her torso except her hips and bellybutton. A gentle smile covered her face, as her bubblegum hair coiled around her spiraling finger.
Today was their first date. Yesterday, as the school intramurals ended Ryan saw Celine— A campus crush, that was rumored to be single again—walking with her friends outside the campus, he was stunned by her beauty and especially her perfect coca cola body. Trusting his personal charm, he shoot his shot, and asked her out. And now they're here, having a great time together. Until.
Ryan swallowed his saliva. And looked at his gold plated wristwatch.
"Well, it's 8:49 already, wanna book a hotel?"
He asked, almost too rapidly... But he didn't know that he crossed a boundary that he shouldn't have.
Celine stared at him with unreadable eyes.
'I should've known... He's just like other men after all.'
She stood up, her fingers clutched on the strap of her sling bag. "No thank you, I can walk home on my own."
"Oh, alright." In a panic Ryan stood up as well.
"Then I guess I'll walk you home then." He offered his hand.
Celine raised her hand, not to hold his, but to reject his offer.
"No worries, I can handle myself."
Ryan chuckled sheepishly.
"Ohh... Hahaha... Goodnight then, take care of yourself... and uhh, chat you later?"
He fumbled the bag, there was no 'Later' in his situation. Celine immediately blocked him that night, she was cursing her hole shower, regretting why she wasted the whole afternoon just to date another guy that can't handle his libido.
Celine layed in bed, the soft hum of her AC was the only thing she can hear.
"I'm done." She laid on her side, eyes closed, yet still frowning. "Why can't men control themselves just once."
Then, as random thoughts encompass her brain, she remembered her argument with her best friend—Lyra.
'Imagine showing up in that attire and not even letting him hold your hand. That's basically torture.'
'There's no torture if they can just control their urges. My style is not the problem to fix here.'
'I'm not questioning your fashion Celinee. I'm saying that you should let believe thatbthey have a chance. Look at me, me and my boyfriend are together for 4 years now. I simply let him show his affection.'
'Affection is not expressed only by physical interactions.'
'Philosopher now, are you? Cmon, I'm telling you how you should do it, you want a partner right?'
'Yeah right, how's your V card?'
'...Long gone, don't need it.'
'And if he doesn't turn out to be your husband in the future?'
'Hey! Don't curse my future will you.'
'Tsk, you're lucky that your boyfriend is contented with you.'
'Well, I remove his stress in bed once In a while, soooo.'
'Ewww.'
'HAHAHA, you're too old style Celine. Change your mindset, or you'll never find a partner. It's not hard to give in.'
'Id rather die a virgin than be with your disgusting modern culture.'
'Harsh.'
