Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Uchiha Jin Takes Back the Ancestral Land, Fugaku Makes a Fool of Himself!

Hiss!

As Uchiha Jin spoke, the entire Hokage Office fell silent.

Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes were obscure, and he began to smoke heavily, his mind working furiously.

Uchiha Jin's expression was as usual.

He still stood calmly in place, seemingly unconcerned about everything before him.

Fugaku's expression was complex.

His eyes were filled with horror and fear as he looked at Uchiha Jin. Although he had always dreamed of taking back the Uchiha clan's ancestral land, he only dared to think about it in his mind.

Because he knew it was absolutely impossible!

How could the meat that had entered the mouths of Konoha F4 be willing to be spat out?

The Uchiha's strength was insufficient, and their relations within Konoha were extremely poor, making it impossible to achieve this in this lifetime.

But, what about now?

Uchiha Jin had brought this matter to the table, which made him feel not joy at first, but a deep-seated fear and dread.

What if the Konoha Leadership turned hostile?

One must know that the situation between the Uchiha and the Village was already very delicate. If this matter were to lead to complete hostility, it would be over.

Therefore.

Without any hesitation, he immediately spoke.

"Hokage-sama, absolutely not!"

"The Uchiha absolutely have no intention of taking back the ancestral land. These are all just Uchiha Jin's wild claims."

"Please don't take it seriously!"

Fugaku's tone was firm.

In his opinion, maintaining the relationship between the Uchiha and the Village was paramount, and he should even try to ease this relationship next.

Uchiha Jin was too aggressive!

He absolutely disagreed.

On the other side.

Uchiha Jin's expression was as usual.

Looking at Fugaku, who was filled with horror, his eyes were full of disdain and mockery.

However.

He did not refute, but just smiled and said, "Clan Head Fugaku is right, I am just a small Chunin, perhaps I really cannot see the bigger picture of the Village."

"Then, when it comes to convincing the Uchiha, I'm afraid I'm powerless."

"No choice, I'm just a Chunin!"

Uchiha Jin's idea was simple: if you're not in the position, you don't meddle in its affairs.

Since you can't give me benefits, and I have no official position, then there's no need for you to force me.

Hiruzen Sarutobi: "..."

He sighed softly.

He was quite pleased with Fugaku's submission. How good it would be if all Uchiha were of this caliber.

Unfortunately, however.

Although he was very satisfied with Fugaku's weakness, Fugaku, as the Uchiha Clan Head, had no real say within the Uchiha clan.

As for the Uchiha Ancestral Land?

To be honest, that area was indeed prosperous, and it had long belonged to the Sarutobi Clan.

But, similarly.

Hiruzen Sarutobi had not truly valued that area, because after being Hokage for decades, the Sarutobi Clan had long become wealthy and powerful.

The main reason for relocating the Uchiha in the first place was to contain them.

That area was too close to Konoha's prosperous region and too close to other Ninja Clanss, especially the Sarutobi Clan. He feared that if the Uchiha were pushed to a dead end, they would first eliminate the Sarutobi Clan if they retaliated.

Now, however, it was different!

Although the Uchiha were becoming more troublesome, Hiruzen Sarutobi could see that Uchiha Jin was a very intelligent person.

Such a person... would not retaliate unless pushed to a dead end.

In that case, returning the ancestral land to the Uchiha was something he could reluctantly accept.

After all, compared to that land, he was more concerned about the Village's public order.

Recently, due to the deteriorating public order in the Village, grievances had been directed at him, the Hokage.

So... let the Uchiha go to that cesspit!

Thinking of this, he nodded directly.

"Alright, I agree."

"I will clear out the land within three days. The Uchiha need to immediately restore public order in the Village."

"Uchiha Jin, any problems?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi was quite direct.

He was too lazy to argue over such trivial matters. Restoring basic public order in the Village, letting the Uchiha fall into that cesspit, and continuing to attract the Village's grievances were his main concerns.

And, regarding this.

Uchiha Jin nodded: "Since Hokage-sama is so generous, I feel reassured. I will definitely restore public order in the Village within three days."

"Three days?" Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes were obscure: "One day."

"I will clear out the place in one day!"

Uchiha Jin shrugged: "Then I'll also take one day."

After speaking.

He also didn't bother with Hiruzen Sarutobi and simply turned and left.

Respect?

There was no need!

They had long since torn off their pretenses with each other, only maintaining a last shred of dignity because neither had the ability to eliminate the other without harm.

As for his impoliteness, Hiruzen Sarutobi pretended not to see it.

Compared to killing Danzo countless times in front of him, mere impoliteness was child's play.

On the contrary.

He looked at Fugaku, who was filled with fear mixed with a hint of joy, and a flicker of disdain passed through his eyes: "Fugaku, if there's nothing else, you can go back too."

"Yes, Hokage-sama." Fugaku quickly bowed.

He respectfully left the Hokage Office, and it wasn't until he walked back to the clan compound that he fully processed what had happened.

It was that simple?!

At this moment, he couldn't understand.

After all, in his opinion, Uchiha Jin was too arrogant. How could the Village tolerate such insolence?

But the outcome of the matter left him bewildered.

Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't even bargain and agreed so easily, which made him feel as if he were dreaming.

Was it really that he was too incompetent? And Uchiha Jin was too outstanding?

No, absolutely not!

Although Uchiha Jin had reclaimed the ancestral land, he had deeply offended Hiruzen Sarutobi.

This kind of behavior was wrong.

The current Uchiha should humble themselves and try to ease relations with the Village. Uchiha Jin's actions seemed more like self-destruction.

Returning home, Mikoto immediately greeted him.

"Fugaku, how was it?"

"Was Hokage-sama angry? Has the matter been resolved?"

Fugaku's face was gloomy, even a little irritable.

He didn't want to talk to Mikoto right now and instead directly asked: "Where's Inabi?"

"Haven't seen him?" Mikoto shook her head.

Fugaku's expression worsened.

Inabi, as his absolute confidant, usually followed him closely, but it seemed he hadn't seen him since today began.

After a brief moment of thought, Fugaku spoke directly: "I'm going out for a bit."

Mikoto wanted to say something else, but facing the already departing Fugaku, she could only sigh and turn back inside.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Fugaku searched for a long time in the clan compound before learning from an elder of the Moderate Faction that Inabi had joined Uchiha Jin with his sister.

Upon hearing this news, Fugaku's face darkened.

Anger, frustration, bewilderment, grievance!

Complex emotions flickered in his eyes, and finally, he spoke to the Moderate Faction elder before him: "Help me notify our people to have a brief meeting at my house later."

"We're in trouble!"
